This year Ballon D' or award should have been given to Vinicius Junior he is the one that deserves the Ballon D or award and not Manchester City Rodri the robbery was clear I believe the white knows what they are doing for me I will clearly say that it is because Vinicius Junior is a black man despite he is from Brazil, Vinicius Junior has more goals than Rodri even won the UEFA Champions league with Real Madrid.
It is really going to affect Real Madrid but I hope they get it off there mind and focus with there football this season I don't think any of Real Madrid players went to the award venue because they felt betrayed by FIFA.

We all thought Vinicius Junior or Bellingham would win the Ballon D'or. Rodri won the Ballon D'or this year, probably nobody imagined. Rodri was probably not even in the top 3 of the Ballon D'or wins list. Vini was also confident in the news that he was going to win the Ballon D'or. He even clashed with Gavi in El Clásico, and still Vini said he was going to win the Ballon D'or.

I don't know if UEFA is biased. But as far as I know who wins the Ballon D'or is not entirely up to UEFA alone. The Ballon D'Or winner is voted for by an international jury of specialized journalists. So we can't just blame UEFA for not getting Vini Ballon D'or. I'd say it's Vini's bad luck.

If we are sincere with ourselves, Rodri performed more than Vini last season on individual basis. Rodri was instrumental for both club and country. Vini was only instrumental to club and wasn't phenomenal at country level. Despite our conflicting opinions a winner must surly emerge. I'm very disappointed with real Madrid attitude, it didn't speak good about them. Rodri has won it and he deserved the award. Congratulations to him and everything he represents.

Till tomorrow, some sets of people are of the opinion that Sneijder should have had one. Ribery and Neuer were not left out. Sadio Mane and Haaland were also subject of debate in the topic of Ballon d'Or denial. So the question of credibility depends on where your interest lies.

Unless you want champions league performance alone to determine the Ballon d'Or winner yesterday otherwise, Vinicius is not close to Rodri in any way in terms of all round performance.

Rodri is a pretty consistent player and he won the English Premier League and Euro 2024. Vinicius won La Liga and the Champions League, but he didn't win Copa America. Rodri isn't a player, who scores lots of goals and maybe that's why many fans want the Ballon d'Or to be won by a player, who scores a lot. This is kinda immature, because many important players in football, likes defenders and midfielders are disrespected and overlooked, while the strikers, that score all the goals get all the glory and all the attention. Congratulations to Rodri.

Yes it's really incredible that Rodri has achieved the Ballon d'Or winner, I thought maybe some other player would be a candidate this season. I was also pretty sure that Vinicius and Bellingham, who are the main players of Real Madrid, would win the Ballon d'Or, but they finished second and third. However, Rodri must be congratulated as the player of the year has been selected and the Ballon d'Or has been claimed, as it has been officially announced. But spreading various rumors will not bring any good result, rather what is officially announced will be correct and true.

What happen in 2018, exactly that moment, everything that concerns me holding strongly to see the top names on the Ballon d'Or list ruined. Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez and the rest of the team didn't attend the Ballon d'Or ceremony because they already had a clue on the things that was going on. It's tense atmosphere for Los Blancos because they had everything to win the major awards and the big question pops out of nowhere, why are they not been fully awarded? They're team of the year, manager of the year goes also to Carlo Ancelotti but player of the year, Rodri. Funny as it sounds right?

Vinicius Jr not winning the 2024 Ballon d'Or and you expects him to be calm about the whole situation? The system is rigged because I find it difficult to explain how Rodri who's not even enlisted as Manchester City best player, Spain best player in the Euros won this specific award. I don't think so, when you talk about controversial I don't think this one can be one of it. When Lewandowski was suppose to win it they cancelled it and when Sneijder was suppose to win it they mixed everything up and gave it to Messi, just these two should be labelled as controversial, there could be more but this particular one Rodri deserve it than Vinicius Jr. In Brazil Vinicius Jr has nothing to show for but Rodri has a lot to show for and his performance has been impressive but I still wonder why people thinks it will go the way of Vinicius Jr or is it because he plays for Madrid? It mustn't have to be them, Madrid don't have anybody to win that award in a very long time and Mbappe can't even get close.

I cannot say that it is completely controversial just that it did not go the way most of us expected because for most of us, we expected that Vinicius junior will be the winner of this year's Ballon d'or, it did not end up that way as we expected, so we should not be quick into conclusions about the award because Rodri still deserved it. He was a big player, both for club and country, not recording any loss in 74 games he played in for over a year, that is a big record to show how much of an influence he is to both his club and country.

I know that Vinicius Jr will not be happy with this new development and that will affect him in this season, he will be more bent on proving a point, and other players in his club like Mbappe and Bellingham will also be in the competition to want to win the award next time. That can be bad for the team, when players start focusing on individual record.

Every year, some people always feel they’re robbed and I don’t think that will stop and will continue like that. The player you’re rooting for to win may not have the qualities or have passed all necessary check to make them the winner, but it does happens and they will always feel they’re robbed. I also feel Vinicius Jnr will win it and when it was announced that they will not be attending the ceremony after Vinicius was ruled out not to win the award, I felt bad about it. All this happens and we are already used to it by now.

It won’t matter now who wins it first but it looks like they’ll both win it and that will give a very big challenge for them both coming from the same team. The criteria’s they use to pick the best player last season may differ from next season but I know individual performance will always be amongst them. This two players have to fight their way out to see themself individually outshining the other person to win the award.

I would say he very well deserve this award as there were no one just better than him. His biggest opponent would have been Courtois but he was injured almost the all of last season and wasn’t even invited for euros by Belgium. Lunin was superb for Madrid but he had a poor euro tournament with the Ukraine national team, his mistakes even made them go out early in the competition. Donnarumma to me shouldn’t even be there, Maigan cannot win it because of poor performance by France in the euros.

Meanwhile Martinez once again guide Argentine to Copa America, saving penalties and shots which to me were what grant them the trophy, for his club Aston Villa he guided them to a top four qualifying for the champions league, now they top the champions league all table at the moment with the club beating giant like Bayern Munich with Martinez been the man of the match so it was definitely deserved to me

The Ballon d'or continue to lose it credibility, the requirement they disregard last time, is the same requirement used this time, I wonder what will be their criteria next year. Though it's more obvious now that it actually depends on politics rather than certain performance.

The Ballon d'or has lost it credibility to Real Madrid now and I doubt they may will be interested or ever attend it again since it will mean the French organizers apologizing, I doubt that Perez will actually want to apologize after everything, it's ironic Mbappe came to Real Madrid to win the Ballon d'or but may likely leave in order to get it now.

Every year, when the award is given there are always those who feel they were robbed. Every year. Even years when Messi and Ronaldo did the impossible to win it, there are always those who say the award is corrupt. Even when Messi won the world cup, there were people who felt Messi didn't deserve the balon d'or, so this year won't be different.

Speaking of Vinicius, he was good last season, but again, people overate his season. He had about 4 or 5 games in the late stages of the champions league where he was a beast. In the League, Bellingham was the better player. In the Copa America, he was horrible. Rodri was consistent all season long. He didn't have a single bad game and won the Euroes too.

If I were to give the award to anybody, it would be Lautaro Matinez. The only thing he didn't win is the champions league. He won the Serie A, was the highest goal scorer in the Serie A, and the best player in the leag. Then he won the Copa America with Argentina and was the highest goal scorer of the tournament and yet, he's not even in the top 5. So we can go on all day about who was robbed and who wasn't.
France football had three criteria of selecting the winner and if you use that, 2 of those already disqualifies Vini.

I think a lot of people already realise that everything that's going on now is a bit of a circus on Vinicius' part, and it will be if he really doesn't come to the ceremony and all the rumours about his inappropriate behaviour are confirmed, I really hope that he will at least adequately justify everything later. As for the fairness of the award - also debatable, Rodri though helped the team win the league, helped the national team win the championship, but I think that's very little compared to how Vinicius is playing

Talking about his behaviour and what some persons may wanna think about it, I think there's nothing wrong about his behaviour, for he's just an elaborate player that many persons just doesn't see fit to their liken and that's okay. He's not the first nominee to have boycotted the Ballon D'or ceremony because I not sure it's even compulsory that a nominee must attend. Still recall that the last Ballon D'or won by Lionel Messi he wasn't in attendance but still got it delivered to him and nobody said something about attitude or whatever. Not attending the award ceremony is his personal opinion and I'll chose to respect that irrespective of what others may wanna think.
