I was away from crypto for years and now I'm trying to get back into the game.  I was really STUNNED that there is no exchange, even after many years since bitcoin started, that we can just deposit USD and start exchanging altcoins.  I hope I'm wrong because this would be the single biggest hurdle for altcoins to be widely adopted by general public.  There are just too many hurdles to jump over just to START trading.
Actually, there are lots of competing exchanger in the world of cryptocurrency and they tend to be offering same amounts for same coins and what just matter is their services offered and how fast they are making such transactions come into life. There are also exchangers who are offering exclusive exchanges for a certain altcoin and that was what you need to find so there are times that you will be using different exchanges for different cryptocurrency coins you are into.

I am pretty sure you can add funds on Bitifinex and buy whatever you want with USD funds, not all websites accommodate this though. Bitstamp you can as well but your selection for alts is quite limited. Best exchange for a beginner though in my opinion would be Binance they function well and they have been able to keep up with the ton of users they are getting everyday.

I really enjoyed HITBTC's demo program they have, I would use that for a few weeks to get a hang then go over to other exchanges that such as Bittrex or Polionex because they are safer and have better support. I have lost coins in the past with Hitbtc and did not like how they responded to me so I vote to stay away from that one even though it has a attractive interface.

I am very curious how the demo app works and went to the hitbtc and saw that the they are working on the new version of Demo Trading service! (check reference below)

About the topic, I can say that any exchange is user friendly and beginners should not put big amounts in trade because there is a high risk to lose them buy making beginners mistakes, we are were beginners and of course we have made mistakes by making opposite action(instead of buying we sold or vice versa), but time by time if trading regularly you can learn how to trade, which mistakes to avoid etc.

Binance and Kucoin are good exchanges to start at the moment, they are very easy to understand, a newbie can easily understand how to trade in there, doesn't matter if he doesn't have any knowledges or skills about it. It is simple, and the interface is clean.

If you can verify your identity then I will say you must buy your alternate currencies on coinbase, Exmo or poloniex.

It depends on coins/tokens you would like to trade. For core coins i like Bitstamp.net, for most of altcoins Bittrex.com. If you want to buy some specific altcoin, you should look to coinmarketcap.com, Markets tab where is traded.

Best exchange with certain level of userfriendly interface for newcomers today is Binance.
But you also better check Kucoin, because these guys list very interesting projects very early (sometimes before Binance does)

I'm a beginner on cryptocurrency and I am not yet made a any conversion of my coins into Ethereum or Bitcoin but I think Etherdelta is one of the best Cryptocurrency exchange for beginners like me as all of my friends are recommending me to use Etherdelta as my first cryptocurrency transaction.
And the most important part is, my coins are having higher value than any other exchange so definitely Etherdelta will be my first exchange to convert some of my coins into Ethereum.

The absolute "easiest" and cleanest is Gdax. Second to that I would put Binance. It's a bit more messy UX/UI, but with just a little help people can understand it. That being said though, Binance could really be the biggest juggernaut(as if it wasn't already) by taking some design queues from GDAX, clean up their design / interface, make it more user friendly.

I would recommend Kucoin or Binance. Though I'm not sure if Binance still accept new users, because their servers can't cope with the rapidly growing number of traders. And Kucoin is very user-friendly exchnage, with good support and good trading volume.

I think Bittrex and Binance are good for beggner now.

I think NextExchange will grow this year.
If this exchange grows without problem, it may be good exchange for beginner.

Actually, it depends on the coin of interest and the exchange that do high daily trading of it. I think cryptopia got many token to trade.

Cryptopia is actually one of the best exchange for beginner because many are actually having a good time about this project. Which give a good platform.

Is cryptopia safe like Bittrex and Binance? I want try it but first I want to make sure if it is secured or not? Thanks in advance.
