First you choose a coin ,then you choose the exchange .
Diversify .Buy wherever the price is best .
If you put everything in one exchange and it gets hacked ,you're fucked.

I use multiple exchanges. On Bitfinex, there are convenient tools for analysing charts, but few coins. Binance occasionally appear on coins and tokens earlier than in other markets. On Yobit more than 1000 coins, but small volumes of trade

I have an opinion you should try some places. everyone has their favorite place to exchange. I myself have several exchange places. because not all places exchange the same price.

It depends on where you are located.

If you are in Europe, use Kraken, they have maker/taker fees. They have fixed the bugs that were slowing down their trading engine. They are secure (have never been hacked). Best of all they do fiat withdrawals via SEPA that give you your money within 24 hours and the fee for withdrawal is only 9 cents.

The best excganges are the ones that:
- uses multisigns
- offers margin trading
- have cold wallets for coins storage
- have decent volumes

I made my homework few months back and I think my conclusion (Binance) is still valid but what is true today might not be true in few months (same analysis a year before would have probably lead me to Kraken/Polo/Crypto... as Binance was not yet live at the time!!!). So my pros/cons as a Binance user:

+ Stable and usable platform despite recent huge registration increase
+ High volumes so most pairs are very liquid and very close from CoinMarketCap prices
+ Low Fees especially if you pay fees in BNB (Binance Coin you can trade like any other coin, probabl the first coin to buy I would say)
+ No registration verification below 2BTC  / 24h
+ 2FA available which is MUST have for me

= UI is average (do not hesitate to use the Basic one if Advanced one is lagging too much)

- Binance Limited registration jurisdiction is not clearly mentioned: it seems it is Shanghai and not Hong-Kong (which I see as a potential risk)
- Impossible to easily track Gain and Loss
- No PGP keys for mail exchange
- Support seems currently a bit overwhelmed

I am currently looking at Kucoin (I have already setup an account) but not yet using it since volume are still low compare to Binance (volume is an important parameter to avoid huge Ask/Bid spread). I will probably use it to widen coin pairs available and also to diversify risk.

Defenitly binance . It's way easier to work with and offer a withdraw amount of 2btc a da that's if you don't have ID verification.
Ever since i started trading i've been using that platform and never had a problem with them . Their team is out there and trust worthy. Also you have the possiblity of lowering the fees way more if you use their coin bnb to 0.05%.

In my opinion currently the best exchange is Binance.
Binance has some excellent features.They have mobile application which is great in terms of usability.Binance has less fees than other exchanges.Beside that Kucoin is also a good exchange.

Like a lot of things in this world, there is no 'best' exchange IMO. There are pluses and minus's to all of them. Some have lower fees, some have faster transactions, better customer support, no customer support, security issues (hacks), over personal verification, deposit and withdraw limitations, intuitive GUI (or lack thereof).

I think it's best to be able to use various exchanges as not all of them carry the same coins/tokens. Plus many only trade a BTC pair, not ETH pairs or LTC pairs or ?

In the future, you can do an atomic swap with others around the world. (Exchange coin X for coin X from X)

There are also swap sites like Shapeshift, Blocktrades, coinswitch, changelly...

I think the best place to trade, is local exchanger,,
 

Poloniex is one of the best exchanges to trade because the fee structure is very less when compared to Bittrex or Binance and they also has no ID verification upto limit of $2000 perday.So it is bet for small traders to trade anonymously.And almost all the coins are available in Poloniex so it is best in my opinion.

Would like recommendation on best exchange to trade on and reason why you believe the exchange is better than others?
