Ark is a pretty good form of passive "income". DPOS is pretty interesting system in my opinion. You basically get paid out based on how much you hold and what group you join. I really like their project long term as well, so it could appreciate greatly in value if it works out like the planned roadmap.
But, there are plenty of interesting options out there right now. so do your own research and see what sounds good to you!
I think the best passive income is mining. But its takes a lot of capital to do that. Because you need high end system unit. And rigs that can mine tokens especially bitcoins. Its so expensive to mine you need a lot of money and time to earn. While in investing. Not everytime you will earn. Because sometimes tokens dump and ICOs failed. But, there are plenty of interesting options out there right now. so do your own research and see what sounds good to you!

If I have to be honest, I'm not entirely familiar with this kind of revenue. However, I have heard that NEO is the best platform for this kind of passive income. But better examine things more thoroughly.
Well, as much as there are so many opportunities in this space, it is not something anyone should just assume would bring about the possibility of getting rich quick. Passively though especially for long term, like the OP said is something that is possible if you have the necessary knowledge it takes to be able to get the best from the space which is also one other thing most of them always end up not finding before embarking on their crypto journey.

$1000 is pretty good starting capital for crypto investment, and i can refer you to invest in bitcoin which is the most reliable crypto. But if you'd like to invest in altcoins, i will refer you to invest in ethereum. These two cryptos are the most recommended by almost all crypto holders for all beginners like you, mate. You can split your capital into two if you'd like, to be able to earn more profit in the future.
Best automated revenue would be in mining,no coin could give you an easy revenue that is superior to anything mining on the grounds that in mining you could acquire while you are asleep,all day of showing improvement over working 8hrs multi day in an organization that is the reason my objective this year is have a decent mining rig so I wont work anymore,and I will do full time cryptographic money exchanging and mining.
investing $ 1000 in coins with POS technology will not be able to give you a large passive income. You will not get constant profits every month, but when pumping you will get good profits

I don't know about a lot of coins with masternode but I am a part of this facebook group for lindacoin and it is a masternode coin. So far it does look like the investors are staking nicely and making money from their staking but I am not too sure because I do not stake with this coin and I also am not an investor. It is worth looking into if you want a masternode coin and it is also a privacy coin just so you know.
