I also put aside 20% of my daily jobs earning as saving. And then the what's left is I budget it. It has works wonder for me up to today. I'm glad that I'd listen to my parents early on regarding saving. You might try it if so see if it's fits you. Others do to the opposite, they do the budget first and the rest put into saving. I guess you have to try and experiment it yourself. And always ask yourself if you really need or just want it before spending your precious money.

Actually we do the same thing when it comes to savings, and it works for me too. I see to it that I save an amount of my income first before budgeting for my expenses.

I think the best tip on saving money is to first less the 20% in your income, it should be the first thing to do not the last, then budget the remaining 80% for other expenses. The next is your lifestyle should be maintained, if your salary increase your lifestyle should be the same it is not the lifestyle that should go up but the savings.

I'm good when it comes to giving advice to others but when it comes to myself i can't make it. But still want to pursue savings for the future and start now.
I'm in the phase of maximizing my profit and save a part of it and control my mind to use it in the expense of others.

If money used in a right way then it will respect you too and you will have a wealthy life, but if misuse it than it does not take much time that money keeps changing hand. So a wealthy today might not remain wealthy tomorrow and vice versa.

There are so many ways and tip for saving money and accumulated it. you only have to do is avoid bad habits because bad habits take your money down and you do not accumulate money and watch your daily expenses. and avoid bad habit for it because your money is getting low and you can not save money. and if you have accumulated and if you have a bad habits its a useless for you to save a money.

I split my monthly income for investment, savings and expenses. Save about 20%, 10% invest, rest to expenses. It's modular so I can adjust accordingly based on needs. But saving should be paramount.
