Well, at least people are getting some feedback from Betnomi.
I would not be surprised if they could not finish their task by March of 2024, or something like it. I have had to deal with databases and Microsoft Excel myself and when managing thousands of entries and while trying to exclude unnecessry data from it, it can be a very challenging and time consuming job.
Hopefully noone of the people affected by this unfortunate event is counting on that money they expect to finance part of their Christmas or seasonal celebrations this year.  Sad


There are lot of positive feedback and results from Betnomi. And this their return is legit. And they are trying their best to refund the victims money and one we have to know is that false claims will pop up and Betnomi has to be careful to handle this refund cases because they might repay money to non victim gamblers in the casino. And for the cases I know that they have gone far for the settlement of people so by that time you are predicting they would have finished the task and started a new beginning of the casino. Lolz! Many of them have already gotten their money and they have spent it before even the festive period.

It's very easy. They should only take into consideration claims from registered emailaddresses. That saves a lot of work and time. And then all is left to do is check the amount.
But nobody will claim double from the same email, that would be insane.

I think they have already mentioned in this thread that they actually lost access to the data base of their clients or something like that, because of the people within the casino who went rogue and decided to sell that data in some shady corner of the internet, for more profit, if I recall correctly.

Anyways, if that is the case, I would not be surprised that is one of the reasons they are taking their time to start to refund those satoshis to their legit owners, with a realiable database to compare those request, it would be easier to commit mistakes and filter legitimate refund request from bogus ones.
Quite a time consuming and tiring  task, I don't even want to imagine how frustrating it must be.

We have received a large number of refund requests, many of which are duplicates. We are carefully analyzing them to separate legitimate requests from bogus ones. While we intended to complete this process sooner, we are actively working on it and appreciate your patience.

I don't quite get it. If you only accept refund requests from the original emailaddresses which were registered at Betnomi, then how can someone do a duplicate refund request? Send it twice from the same email? Well, that is pretty easy to spot and then you just process only one of them.
And in case people start claiming refunds from different emails, then just simply ignore them. It should not be too much to ask from a user to send a refund request only from the registered email in Betnomi.

We have received a large number of refund requests, many of which are duplicates. We are carefully analyzing them to separate legitimate requests from bogus ones. While we intended to complete this process sooner, we are actively working on it and appreciate your patience.

I sent the details from the OP to [email protected] a week ago, and I think it would be nice to receive a confirmation on receiving the info from your team. I mean, the deadline is approaching and I'm nervous about sending anything wrong, or not enough.

I think others would be happy to know too that their withdrawal requests are being processed.

Let them take their own time as such refunds are not easy to process because there will be scammers trying to get something from them. IMO they are trying to refund money, whereas most casinos avoid doing it in the past we have seen such issues not getting handled. It is best to patiently wait till the end of this month like you said earlier and then we can start questioning them if nothing happens.


At least they have the intention to return user funds and also clarify everything in this forum, I think it is true that it is not easy to filter user information data because it is vulnerable to fake users who might cheat, so it will be a tough challenge from this problem, I am not a user betnomi but I think there is a need to be patient for them to process it so that everything goes well.

Everyone definitely wants a smooth distribution so I hope everyone understands the situation so that everything is finished smoothly, I'm sure everyone is also waiting but as said, there are always scammers when discussing refunds so it is necessary to do a detailed screening. so that all funds are well received by all genuine users.

Oh wow, I wasn't aware of this thread!

Glad to hear that Betnomi is trying to make things right, but until they actually do it's hard to be too optimistic.
I have a tiny amount in the site myself and will try to reclaim it as well.

Hopefully this case will be solved some time soon and we can welcome them back into the bitcointalk community. The end of Betnomi was really sudden so I didn't expect to read a thread like this, haha.

And who will play in this re-opened casino? I guess they can clear this situation and refund people (I don't care for my few bucks), but they just disappeared for six months? Even if they get in again with many new promotions should we play in their new casino?

Too many questions, and not so many smart answers... I played those poker tournaments, and they were great, but mostly because people from here who participated in those tournaments.

Well, we could argue they disappeared because they were trying to figure out what happened and also the money needed to start refunding those who lost money. Six months is actually a reasonable time to get the money and the information, in my humble opinion, Though, I am not trying to justify or advocate for a casino which initially appareared to have exit scammed.
I would personally see no problem someone still trusting this casino with some bucks (not big money) and still participating in their poker events. If this was about exit scamming and stealing as much as possible, they could have done it already and not coming back here giving explanations and funds back.

Will you open an account and play at this casino if they come back? I played poker and Farkle mostly (the only casino with Farkle game), slots from time to time, but I am not sure if I will play there again... if they open a new casino with a new name. This question is for all of us I guess, are we ready to forgive this and move on like nothing happened, or we will condemn this kind of behavior and stand firm? Some other members raised good questions, and I can't say that I am satisfied by Betnomi's answers.

They returned this time (after six months) and maybe they will refund all the players, but they can disappear again without any words... it's just weird that they just disappeared without any words, I still can't understand it... they could have written anything back then, but now it's too late...

From my own perspective and experience, it is very unlikely I will lean towards opening an account with them when they decide to come back with a new and rebranded product for us. I did not have an account anyways.
All your points are valid, so are the concerns you point out, if they somehow screwed up big time and disappeared for months, it can happen again. However, considering Betnomi is so community focused here, I would not be surprised by manage to recover a good percentage of gambling Volume.
Since I am rather casual with wagering money, I do not have any need to open many account around in each casino which crosses my path.

Such promises take a lot of time and that's why I don't think that they'll be able to refund anyone soon. I have also noticed that they don't have the original database in their hands and that's why they might follow a strategy to pay only those people who they find honest with their words and details. I'm also getting such vibes about them but let's be positive and give them a month or two to see how they will proceed their refund plans.

I think you need to get another update and confirmation from the OP and I see that he was last active on this forum around December 1st, so my advice is to just wait until they actually process everything and confirm in this thread that the refund has been processed , I'm sure they also know that their reputation is really at stake here so whether you feel confident or not sure, you just need to wait and also look at other users too, who knows, maybe someone has already received a refund.

But whatever it is, don't get your hopes too high because it might disappoint you, so it's best to wait for further information from the OP in this thread. This is very important because there may be a lot of users who have to be verified by the OP for a refund so it takes time to record it, I hope you Get your money back immediately.  Wink

Refund process is welcome but looking at how long this has taken it would be prudent to send emails out incase some users gave up on their hard earned money and aren't aware that you have comeback to resolve these cases and fix your reputation .

Better yet, since you have the backups in place and most likely know the affected users why not send out those emails and not just saying if you don't add email or username you won't be refunded!

Oh, they were great those Bitcointalk Poker Tournaments on Betnomi, weren't they? I actually won one of them and I can confirm that I was fully paid by Betnomi(they were sponsoring the tournaments) and I had successfully withdrawn the money. After that I had been playing for more than a year or two on the site, and I can say that their poker platform was attractive to many poker lovers, thousands I'd say. I personally hope they'll be back.

Great to here your feedback given to them since somehow it can give some plus points to those people still doubting of their comeback so maybe they really need to put a lot of efforts to solve whatever issues they have so that they can comeback here smoothly without anyone throwing some negative about their issues happened in the past.

I maybe not experience any bad or good on this casino since I don't much play here but if the case they satisfy all parties towards finding a solution regarding on some issues and operate smoothly without any further trouble then for sure they can convince those people still doubting to give a shot on their casino since they provide more better experience to them.
