NEW COIN ALERT!

We're ending the week with a new update for you guys. We have added GRIN mining for Nvidia GPUs.

The GRIN miner is up for manual update. Download the latest version of BetterHash, go to Settings/Miners and click the Re-download all miners link.

Happy mining!

Great news everyone!

Starting today you can use your own miners with BetterHash. Log in to your online account and go to Settings / Pools. You will see a list of pools and backup pools for all the coins that we mine.

Your mining stats will appear in BetterHash and you will be able to get notifications, perform exchanges, automatic withdrawals - the same way you do while mining with Betterhash.

ZERO BTC WITHDRAWAL FEES!

Yeah, you heard it! We've implemented Coinbase BTC Withdrawals with ZERO FEES! No withdrawal fee, no network fee, no nothing! Simply enter your Coinbase account e-mail address and ta-da!

IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that we cannot verify if the email address for the Coinbase account you enter is a valid one, so be careful and double check when entering it, as you will lose your coins if you enter a wrong one.

Hi! We usually reply a lot faster if you open a support ticket on our website - this is the best way to get in touch with us.

I can see that a lot of our users are using this specific GPU to mine:
https://www.betterhash.net/AMD-Radeon-RX-6700-XT-mining-profitability-63128572.html

Most likely your issue is caused by a faulty or old driver. Please make sure you are using the latest drivers from AMD and also update your OpenCL software. If the updates are not solving this please check the PhoenixMiner forum here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/phoenixminer-62c-fastest-ethereumethash-miner-with-lowest-devfee-winlinux-2647654 .

As for RVN mining with BetterHash please make sure you are running version 3.172 or higher.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your nice words. In the crypto community, rumours can quickly ruin a profitable miner or application. We have to understand that even if something terrible happens, the developer might have had good intentions. As for the fees, we have to look at the past and make sure we are covered even in the event of a sudden fee rise. We'll do this next month.

Kindest regards,

Daniel

Hi, good front end and glad to see patience with the software admins doing no changes to the use of PhoenixMiner 5.5c; given the current issues with that miner and another mining pool.

Anything you guys can do to lower the BTC withdraw fee to non Coinbase wallets?
0.0002 BTC is a steep price that is the equivalent of ~2 days worth of mining on an RX 6800 (non XT) at current rates of ETH->BTC.

Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin
Guys is betterhash available on Linux OS or a complete separate OS? Also can I flash bios and overclock graphic cards through betterhash like hiveOS and Minerstat OS? Ive never used this software before and I'm looking into it right now

i've moved on to T-rex, betterhash never responded to my ticket and as far as i'm concerned they've been stealing my compute time from me, paying out only $1/day.

Something here makes no sense.   My 'daily total income' shown in the BetterHash app has varied from 3.50 to 9.50 while my hash rate has stayed consistent at 60-62 MH/sec.  I get there is variance in currency prices but over 4 days it's not that volatile.   I've now been running for 4 days and my confirmed balance is showing as .00011755 BTC (which I also don't get because I'm not converting to BTC, I'd prefer my confirmed balance be shown in what I have actually mined, which is ETH).  But that confirmed balance is $3.99 worth of BTC or about $1/day, not 3.50-9.50.   At $1/day this isn't worth running.

I'm a noob and am trying to understand a bit better about the income being generated.  I've been running for about 48 hours @ ~60MH/s.

BetterHash says at that hash rate I should be generating around  $4.93/day

In the app, it says my confirmed balance is 0.00005614 BTC
(Honestly I don't care about BTC, I plan to withdraw the ETH to an ETH Coinbase wallet but if we look at BTC, that's equal to $2.14 at BTC's current rate)

If I login to the BetterHash website I see

Confirmed   Unpaid Shares
0.00167890 ETH   2208 See payment estimation

and also

Total Confirmed Balance - USD and BTC conversion
0.00005614 BTC (2.12 USD )

I see no indication I'm making $4.92/day anywhere I can find.   I'm wondering if I'm reading something wrong.  Is that 2208 unpaid shares (2208 what?) not yet added into the $2.12 total maybe?
If I click the 2208 I see
Unpaid shares: 2208
Estimated unpaid balance: 0.00193200 ETH

That's another $2.45 for a total of $4.57 for 48 hours-ish.  Still about half of what I'd expect.    Any help appreciated in troubleshooting or understanding what I'm looking at if I'm not looking correctly.

Making Smart Money Work
New mining softwares should start building their separate OS like hiveOS and EthOS, I don't like running softwares to mine a certain algorithm cos I always notice a drawback with performance, OS works better, the interface or dashboard of betterhash looks so attractive and easily understandable, work on the OS

Hi there,

We sometimes perform automatic updates when we know it's something that won't cause any inconvenience to the mining process and it seems that you may have just spotted one. The new version should be 3.157. If you didn't experience experience any mining issues, then you are good to go. Happy mining!

Best regards,

Hi there,

A quick question.  I installed last night and ran it overnight, mining.  It seems like in the middle of the night Betterhash either re-installed or updated and all the icons etc. on my Windows went back to as if the program was newly installed (I had removed Betterhash from recently installed and moved around the start menu icon, etc.).

Does it automatically update or something?  Thanks

Hi

There is a lot of uncertainty about Ethereum Classic mining these days. After the network has suffered three double spend attacks, payments have changed and our users have been affected by that.

We have detailed the first two attacks here: https://www.betterhash.net/news/2020-08-11-betterhash-etc-ethereum-classic-attack.html

The main reason payments have changed is the fact that the confirmations number needed for a single payment is currently at 80 000 blocks, which roughly translates to 14 days. All payments that you receive are for the shares mined 14 days before the payment is made.

Last Friday was 14 days after the last attack took place. Since the mined blocks were taken over by the attacker, we only received some crumbs. This resulted in much lower than expected payments towards our users.

Since this is no one's fault, we believe you shouldn't have to suffer the consequences. We took it upon ourselves to compensate you for the loss and have sent an extra payment that covers what the attackers stole.

However, we cannot stress enough that all of you should switch to a different coin. All future payments will still be delayed by 14 days and more attacks may take place that will result in you taking a loss.

Thank you all again for trusting us.

Hi,

I am deeply sorry about this - but unfortunately we cannot offer any kind of assistance installing the right drivers. BetterHash will start and monitor the miners, will make sure they get restarted when needed, will notify you when something goes wrong, will convert your profits and more. However - making sure a miner (that was not developed by us) is works on your rig - is something we cannot help you with. We'd love to - but it's impossible to remotely debug such an issue.

Please search the ccminer forums for more info about this error - I still believe it's something related to your driver, as the miner starts correctly but then shuts down by itself.

Kindest regards,

Daniel

I am having this exact same issue with Zcoin as well, same error message. Drivers are up to date. I have no problems mining other coins on Betterhash. It is very frustrating. Using GTX 1070 graphics cards.

Hi,

I believe the "cudaErrorInvalidValue" is generated by the CUDA driver. Please reinstall all GPU drivers...

Daniel

Hi,

I have reinstall the GPU drivers and restarts a few times but still not working. I am able to mine other coin but only facing problem with this zcoin only.
