@Zikkson: I didn't notice your ticket - or maybe you didn't mention we discussed on Bitcointalk. Can you help me with a ticket ID? Also - if you can take a look at the command line that NH uses I can compare it to BH and perhaps this is where the difference comes from.

Thanks for fast reply!

I thought that high earnings are based on selling hash power, not mining altcoins directly for myself like others. But i dont understand how completly NH works. NH (all algos activated) says i can make 822usd/month with 6xGTX1060 and direct altcoin mining regarding whattomine says around 620usd/month mining ETH which is one of the most profitable there which should be same as BetterHase i think. That is huge difference. But still i like BetterHash more and more.

I will open ticket then. Anyway im using Claymore while problem happens. It looks like GPU is going to something like "eco mode" while display is off. But it works without any drops in NH for example. So i dont know if there is chance its app problem or just some system settings. Maybe i can do some research with msi afterburner graphs what happens with gpu while displays goes off.

@Zikkson

I believe that only on some configurations NH can generate more revenue. What we will do in order to increase revenue is adding more mining algorithms and more coins. On some systems mining ETH can be more profitable, on other systems ZEC would be the best.

As for the hashrate that seems to drop it would help us to know what algorithm you used. In order not to expose your email here please open a ticket on send us a private message on our Facebook page mentioning this issue. The LCD shouldn't be related in any way to this issue - I would look for a network problem instead.

Hi, thanks for great app. I am trying it now and then and it looks great. To be honest NiceHash is still my number one because of highest earnings (and i dont know how is that possible), but BetterHash is great and im planning to move to it. But i found one problem. Im not trying it on my mining rig with 6xGTX1060 but on my personal pc with only one HD7950 and if lcd goes to sleep BetterHas's hashrate drops around 5-7% down. And it goes back few seconds after i wake up lcd. I didnt try to use it on rig without lcd but this is not good result if we talk abour 5-7% drop on 6 card rig and more.
I know i can set lcd to not sleep, but its not good solution for me. And if it affect also rigs without lcd...

Thanks for the update Daniel Smiley

I think this is prime example of support from developers, this is how it should be. Super fast responses, quick development, direct contact with people behind software - no stupid shit like rising tickets, sending emails, tweeting etc. Bravo.

i agree with you Bimmber awesome team and very helpful

@Bimmber - Thanks a lot. This is time consuming sometimes... However: the ideas, the bugs that were reported - were pure gold to us! We've been in software development for more than 10 years and I can say that the crypto community is something completely different: generally technical users that know how to explain bugs, users with good intentions... We also received critical messages but most of them were correct and helped us improve the service. After many years of software development I started to enjoy answering messages. Smiley

We worked a lot today on improving detection for AMD adapters on mixed rigs. The web development team worked on cleaning the code and tomorrow we'll all be working on 2FA. I hope we'll add it to a new online Settings tab by tomorrow evening. Wink

@ericnovak

Thanks a lot for this feedback! I understand this is a valuable tool when you cannot access the rig. The online account does this job, but offers not estimate, just the current earnings and pending balance accumulated for all your miners.

During the next weeks we'll work on security and adding more coins. As for the web interface - what suggestions do you have?

I realized that I'm not using the computer interface because my rig is actually being managed by a close friend in another state, so I only see the web interface- that could mean that I'm not actually seeing all your features, but some of the web-side statistics I'd really love to have would be:

  • Projected Short-Term Earnings
  • Side-by-side currency comparison
  • Long-term projections with hardware costs

Mycryptobuddy has a few tools that are super useful.

Hi,

We were working on the page, everything is back now.

New release that will probably solve the Claymore issue:

Hey! This did sadly not solve the Claymore issue :/

Hello! We're back with a new release. Can you check Claymore once again? This is the download link:

@solominer247: I got it, I wrote down your ideas and I'll discuss them with my coworkers.

@For_Canal_Coins: We are aware that sometimes the transaction could have gone through at a much lower sat/byte price. However, during our experiments we discovered that during high network activity times (while the Bitcoin network is congested) we might end up with transactions that never get through; they remain in an area where we cannot either increase the transaction fee to speed up processing or cancel them. Your idea of priority (low / high / medium) is somehting we can do. Added to the to-do list. P.S. The 500 sat/byte price was decided by asking the node for the price to get a 1-block confirmation. I checked last week's logs (during the congestion) and transactions with lower amounts and a 20% price decrease are still stuck as pending. :/

@Old_School: See above. Wink We'll work on it!

@jrtaboraman: Depends on what mining algorithm you use. As we promised we'll add more coins, more algorithms, etc. As the process that consumes GPU power please take a look and give me a name. I'm sure it's somehting we can solve.

Kindest regards,

Daniel

I tried using your program and the hashrate is different compare to other cli miner. I also notice when I turned off automatically start mining there is a process that secretly runs on my computer that consumes my gpu's mining power. I try to look at the file later so I can name it.

Hi yes it would be nice to see option for withdrawals like Fast, Normal, or Slow confirmation mode hopefully the betterhash team can add this option in a future release

Sorry my English isn't very good. I mean let's say with another provider NH when you click on "Start" automatically 2nd window appears which displays what coin is being mined and its speed. I hope you understand now, Daniel?

@ solominer247 you can do this by unchecking miners start hidden in the general settings

I tried BetterHash for about a month... good thing is it is very stable, never once it crashes my computer... but I feels the miner is also less aggressive compared to NiceHash.. so the hashing rate may not as high (I dont have numbers to back this up though).

It is also very friendly and easy to use... literally anyone that know how to install a program can use it.

There is one issue though... I withdrew all my coins by converting it to BTC, the withdrawal was very fast!.. But it is also very expensive!... I checked the transaction and it is using 500 sat/byte!

I checked the mempool and 200 sat/byte would have been enough! https://core.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#24h

I literally wasted my money for nothing!

Would be great if we could choose Fast, Normal, or Slow confirmation mode when withdrawing...

Hello Daniel, thanks for prompt reply.

1. Thanks

2. Sorry my English isn't very good. I mean let's say with another provider NH when you click on "Start" automatically 2nd window appears which displays what coin is being mined and its speed. I hope you understand now, Daniel?

3. Sorry I didn't mean for buying. When I open BetterHash software by default the currency is set as $ because I live outside USA it can be difficult for me to monitor the daily earnings often need to rely on currency exchange. Are you able to implement so users are able to change from $ to other currencies within the software.

Sorry once again, my english isn't very good.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the positive review! We are overwhelmed by the good feedback that we received. It's clear that we need to get more people in order to get things done faster. To answer your questions:

1. We'll add more coins and we'll work on this as fast as we can. This will increase profits.

2. I didn't understand very well what you would like us to add to the GUI. If you would like to see the mined coin's name next to the miner selector on the Miners Setup window - this can be done quite easily. Or is it something else you wanted to ask for? Wink

3. Well, for changing USD to other currency (buying crypto) - that's something we have to think about, it's a new request. What we are working on is allowing our users to withdraw from crypto to EUR and USD.
