Having 4 post in bitcointalk.org forums not means that an user isn't expert. I'm new here because i was searching a thread or news about my situation in google, found this thread starts talking about a problem with e.coin card, so i registered up an account to take part, even viewing e-coin admin talking in the thread. It's very strange, bought 1 EUR vcc with 3 eur balance, use for PP verification, tried to withdraw on it ( worked ), now the card have balance, but any transaction is refused.

No fear, i'm trying only to get support

i like to know why nobody answer from the support and the VIRTUAL card is not accepted everywhere. I'm not stupid, insert numbers is things for 5 years old children!!

Looked at this on a phone, viewing only post content (viewing a bit right-aligned), and guessed your rank before I swiped right.

Newbie. 4 posts. Are you sure you know what you're talking about?

P.S. Have around $79 (after the EUR card order) in my e-coin account. Tried to load my USD card with $70 - "Service unavailable - try again later". Tried with $50 - "Service unavailable - try again later".
Is the issue on your side? or i do something wrong.
Maybe its because it's Sunday (aka time for maintenance and improvements for most Internet companies and providers)

Just wait. Try again in a few hours, and it'll probably be up. It's been down for 24+ hours before, just gotta be patient. Only the USD -> BTC system goes down though, so deposits and the card itself will remain unaffected.

we are working on own design both for the card and for the accompanying letter.
that said, merging bitcoin with tranditional banking infrastracture is not as straightforward as it may seem. Putting ANYTHING related to bitcoin on a debit card is still a bit of a grey area
personally I wouldn't buy a debit card that has anything printed that can relate to bitcoin.
here most people don't give a....i saw one lady 3-4 months ago, paid with prepaid american visa. i told this to the worker in our grocery store, it looks like they don't care. The worker wasn't aware about "prepaid visa" at all. So if i have "bitcoin" printed ill proudly show up in our stores. I mean 99% of people here will thing that its the next good looking bank card...
The card really looks good by the way

Can you take a photo of your card received from e-coin.io ?
Hide your details but i just want to see the design of it as you say that is different from the e-coin website.
@gosha@e-coin i think the high fee are the monthly 1$ sms fee and maybe the sell price of bitcoin.
Regarding my cards, i got 2 now. One is invalid, looks like exactly like the one in the first post.
The second one is "grey", my wife likes it, but i prefer the black one (but its invalid).
Anyway i'm happy that i finally got a valid card despite the fact that my order was for a black card.

@gosha@e-coin: Don't get me wrong. Actually i really like the idea behind your business. I'm planning to order another card in EUR and also to open an account with you for my wife.
Despite my problems with the cards and some fees (mainly because of my local currency), i really really appreciate what you does and i believe that your "project" is very innovative and has a bright future in front of it. Thank you  Smiley
Just placed my order for the EUR car.
@gosha@e-coin: do you have something like email, skype, mobile phone, where i can directly communicate with you. You seems like a very nice guy and i want to use your services in the future, so it'll be good if we can stay in touch. Also i want to verify my account, and I'm wondering if my governmental issued ID (Identity card) is enough for verification. I can send you ID or Drivers license or Passport, which one is better?
Also about the proof of address, my address is written on the back side of my ID. I also got a bank statement. Most of my utility bills are on name of my landlord, because in Bulgaria when you rent a flat/an apartment you usually don't change the bills (water/electricity so on) partitions. Our mobile operators don't print your address on their receipts/invoices. So i'll appreciate your guidance on the topic.
Is ID - front and back side enough to verify both my identity and address?
Thanks.

You need to tell us which Bitcoin debit card is it? You also need to contact your card's customer support and describe them the problem. They will help you. I am sure you are simply doing something wrong that's why you are not being able to pay with your card.

It's EUR virtual card. I repeat many times the operation, i checked, read and again re-read card number, CVV, date...but i don't find anything wrong in my inputs. Tried 2 different browser. Also tried to change IP. Customer support contacted before this post.

It looks like you have some unique issues so this kind of issues only customer care support people can help to resolve or advice you what you can do or they even advice some other better alternative solution for your issue. Good luck to you.

@gosha@e-coin the promotion about the cards is 4 days left.
Will there be the new design of the card when you ship to the winners
Or you will ship these blank black bitcoin debit cards?

But in the official website of e-coin it is another one which looks so:

this has been replied in a few posts above

we are working on own design both for the card and for the accompanying letter.
any idea of when the cards with the design (as shown on your website) will start shipping??
that design or a different custom one - hopefully within a few months

The card that i have received looks the same as the one shown in the first post (OP) of this thread.

But in the official website of e-coin it is another one which looks so:

@gosha@e-coin best practice is that you should mention in the website that the fees are charged by the bank and not from you.

the monthly $1 is only charged (by the bank, nothing to do with E-Coin as a bitcoin buiness) when the card is used, and pretty much any bank would charge at least the same for a debit card, unless it is one linked to your salary account, which is a very different story.

The sell price of bitcoin is certainly a bit higher than you see advertised by exchanges, etc, but there simply needs to be a certain cost involved to maintain the platform running. You can barely expect your local shop have the same prices as a wholesale warehouse 100 miles away, it is simply a different service and business model

Fee is rather high for all the btc debit card out there. If anyone know a low fee one, please let us know.
Currently most of bitcoin related debit cards have high fees but as more peoples take interest and buy then we hope these companies will cut fees

guys, what exactly are the high fees you are talking about?
