Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

In my opinion I don't think if the education institution would allow to teach it. although teaching bitcoin in college is sounds good because students could be aware in this kind of cryptocurrency. As a student, It could be a interesting subject for me because I am too curious about bitcoin, yet it could be hard to find a person who has a knowledgeable to teach this kind of subject.

As far as I know, We is still lack of information about bitcoin and if somebody knows it well probably he work to learn more in bitcoin. However, it is a big advantage to the technology if scrum of people now about of bitcoin probably it will be possible that bitcoin became legal in the whole country.

It's now possible on some countries already and like japan today bitcoin payments system is highly appreciated on the advantages being showed up. And now we're on our way to legalized in lots of countries and many people will be benefited by this.
Of course it will be legalized soon and i think other countries doesn't recognize it that much because it doesn't give them a profit i guess. By legalizing bitcoin it will be a very good way to inform everyone what is bitcoin and introduce it in their school. Maybe Japan is already teaching it in their universities, so people their could easily adopt and learn some basics.

I am an engineering student in my university and i highly recommend to provide knowledge like me with a course of Electronics Engineering which is technology related course about bitcoin. Since ECE are slightly related to IT, we must know about the process, procedures, mechanism, and system used in bitcoin. Bitcoin can change the world and can develop the technology we have today through ideals and creativity. We must have the deeper knowledge about this thing to use it for having a progressive country. Also, Finance related courses will also benefit the learnings we develop through research.

The thing is nobody seems to know about bitcoin enough to actually teach it in classes. Those who know it well enough usually are already running successful bitcoin related businesses and don't have the time to tutor classes. Plus they probably don't have a teaching degree.

So there you go, the main issue is that of above and the unwillingness of the government wanting to teach people about bitcoin because it is obviously going to be the currency people go to when fiat collapses, and they want to delay that from happening.

But it'd be damn good if they did start teaching it in high schools, offered bitcoin as a course in itself in college etc. But if you're just looking to develop your own altcoin or get to know the framework bitcoin works on studying cryptography is probably the closest and best thing.

Yes it is not yet legalized in some countries but if it said that in some European countries it add on their studies as a subject then there might high possibilities that it will also be legalized and maybe added in some educational institutions also. I have faith that it will be, because this online currency is really amazing and to the fact it really has an optimistic possibility that it will become as a currency accepted in the world. I truly believe bitcoin will surpass any currency if it will be legalized.

Bitcoin for now is just starting to develop rather to be adopt by every country so I think in nearly the bitcoin will be adopted by every country as soon as the name of it will be boom or a breaking news and I think the education that is contextualize the bitcoin will be available soon just a few developments and adoption.

bitcoin in college will be a good lesson for both i.t. and financial courses, hope there wll come a time that they will make it happen.today they offer crash courses on how bitcoin is being generated, i have tried attending free trials, however it is difficult for me to understand, unless in a classroom setting.
This is a nice idea that bitcoin hope to be added a lesson for i.t courses. But for now lets hope that bitcoin will be legalized first in the country even in my country this is not yet happening. So I hope this will happen soon because for sure  many people will have the interest just to learn about this bitcoin.

It would be a great idea if the government will support it, although there are countries that already legalized it as a currency. People will be more awared of the advantages of crypto and BTC. The value depends on the market's demand, and if there'll be more people that will engage themselves in BTC, it'll surely make an impact to BTC.
Even if the government supports bitcoin, I do not think that they will support it 100% or even 25% because they still want their people to use the national currency so that they can easily control the people's activities and collect tax every year. Supporting bitcoin only leads to the corruption of the centralized system, including the government

Very good ideas. Although Bitcoin has not yet been recognized in our country. I hope that in a few years or a few months, Bitcoin will be added as an important lesson to schools, colleges and universities worldwide. As a result students will learn how to earn from Bitcoin. Can be done and how to invest. Bitcoin may be part of the discussion of all of us, we know that all schools and students already know about the world of Bitcoin. They know about the benefits of Bitcoin.
May be after legalization of bitcoin across the world, the government of a country feel that a separate college is required to be opened regarding educating the people about bitcoin. It is also possible that a degree for bitcoin may be designed in future and then people will be degree holder of bitcoin who will run the bitcoin software for smooth transaction.

I could see Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies being offered as an elective course in some small universities or technical schools in the future. Other than that, most mainstream curruculums would probably just ignore Bitcoin or call it a ponzi scheme.

as I know, the universities and colleges in the country I have never taught or research about Bitcoin. It's too strange here. But I believe students will soon learn about Bitcoin in the school and the number of Bitcoin participants will increase rapidly.

As well as bitcoin gain popularity and when it recognized and legalized by most of the world countries in future then there will be a need to enhance the knowledge computer, internet and bitcoin in masses to understand the people for a smooth business in bitcoin. For this purpose I think the government would need to educate the people about bitcoin and may bitcoin consider a compulsory subject in the course of colleges.

If the exposure is there, then I see a lot of students being able to earn some amount of money online without affecting their studies using where I studied as a case study, I have seen students complain of lack of funds and wanting to work but there is no time due to them running a full time programme. Over here its so surprising that the discussion is not even informal, not to talk of formal discussion in class.

I have not received accurate information about bitcoin in college, but I know that many, almost even most of the students are familiar with bitcoin. Maybe just a sideline lesson is not the main could happen because bitcoin is already a subject of conversation. When will be the main lesson? Waiting for how much contribution to college.

Cryptocurrency or bitcoin as a course in college will not happen now but in near by future it will be study as a course in college and universities. Cryptocurrency is still at the infancy stage and many people, business and nations has not adopted it yet therefore will would not expect it to be adopted in college as a study. The beauty of it is that you can learn everything now online almost free.

When I was in the university, I saw one thing that was hard to miss. That the curriculum of the study was highly dictated by the World Bank, the largest supporters of the funds and loans to the universities. Lately the universities became a bureucratic machines to make money not ideas. I would guess that its the same with the Colleges.

If the curriculum of the higher education would be in the hands of its professors, you would hear new ideas being spread more often. Its not that in todays world the professors are one of the most creative people in the world. They are not, but the bureucratic process they must pass, to be able to give lectures, makes them even less flexible.

In that kind of enviroment I would be hardly surprised to hear even the students to talk about bitcoin.

These days, with how easy it is to access information online, it's a much better resource than regulated schools. This is especially true for things that change rapidly like cryptocurrencies.

When it comes to certification for certain professions, you can't get around going to college or university even if you possess the required knowledge, it's a certificate that is legally required.

That being said, there's a course on Coursera from Princeton university on "Bitcoin and cryptocurrency technologies"  for free.
