Up until now, I have not heard any information about the btc course. On the contrary, the Bitcoin information in our country is very vague, only some information is posted on the internet and all information about btc that I know is mainly from such forums or from the people involved in the btc community before me. But if in the future ,There are btc courses in my country I think it will be great.

Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.

I have seen threads that have discussed the possibility of adding a new Crypto section to high school economics or a college/uni course. I would vote for something like that since right now a lot of jobs are being replaced by robots and newer things. The cryptocurrency world is a new version of ecomonics and people need to pay attention to it. If you would receive credentials from a college, backing that you, saying have knowledge in the crypto world, it could lead to better job opportunities. This would be hard to implement though since changing the curriculum of the entire education system would have to have heaps of support and a willing government to back it. Could be nice to see this implemented in the future though.

With the continuing interest which Bitcoin is gaining, I am sure that soon we can see many learning institutions to include the subjects of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology into their curriculum. Blockchain technology is representing a revolution and soon this revolution can go down to the application level where even schools can take advantage of.

Here in my country, there are already schools which accept Bitcoin as a form of payment so it is likely that students can get elbow-to-elbow with Bitcoin. I am waiting for a time where a critical mass of entrepreneurial young people can get excited with Bitcoin.

I am sure that in the coming months, Bitcoin can be a part of the discussions in many classrooms. Now, instead of focusing more on Bitcoin, what should be discussed is the technology behind Bitcoin which we all know is Blockchain Technology. I think that is the game changer of this whole thing and it can be applied in so many industries and can even be applied in schools.

Yes, that was absolutely right. It is because most of the students now are being popular about bitcoin. Students sharing their thoughts about bitcoin to their fellow classmates. Bitcoin can be a part of our class discussion if all schools and students already know the world of bitcoin. In my school, there are some student who knows bitcoin but the most are not because they are just focusing on their studies.

When I was still studying, one of my professors in economics and in business studies. Do discuss something about cryptocurrencies, even though it is not part of the curriculum yet. But I guess it could really help especially to those who are pursuing a career in Economics or stocks, Bitcoin could give them an overview in the underground market *since it is not yet accepted world wide* and also they gained knowledge and advance techniques in regards how to trade/invest in the stocks and also market trend reading.

there are not many place where we can learn about bitcoin because bitcoin is not yet know in offline. i think this is happen too in my country, i can not find any computer courses with bitcoin learning inside of their program study. but i believe that if bitcoin is already know by all country then there will be many computer courses and even in school and university will add bitcoin as their program study.

it is good for young people to know about new technology so they can learning something that will be happen in future so they can prepare their self with better.

Bitcoin will be tackled on a college subject that is about economy, specifically in a topic that discusses money and the monetary system. Though not all will discuss more deeper about Bitcoin, maybe it will just be mentioned at some point.

I think there are still no bitcoin course here in our country right now, and it would be great if there is going to have one in the near future, but it is too good to be true right now since the Government is too busy on resolving many issues on their designated countries, like for example is the war in their nations, or the war against other country and other stuffs that is not connected on bitcoin, and most of them don't care about this cryptocurrency since what they all know is fiat.

I doubt the public education system will teach anything about cryptocurrencies, because they don't even teach much about current fiat currencies.  I went to one of the top business schools in Canada for finance, and we didn't learn much about central banks and fiat currency.  We learn about monetary and fiscal policy, but not that the central bank is not a government organization.  Not that money used to be backed by gold and now it's backed by a military.

If they did teach that, it would cause student's to question the system.  So I can't see them educating students about cryptos which move and change in such a small amount of time.  Not to mention the teachers/profs don't know shit themselves.

i was proposing my local high school to implement bitcoin payment on paying the relevant fees demanded to students, but they said "it is really hard to do so and it is not popular". Undecided this thread inspired me to propose new extension about the ICT subject of programming, since we don't have that subject yet.

FYI my high school's pupils studying ICTs know a little about bitcoin. they are not good at programming though

Anything that is worth any real credits in college has a long enough history to back it up. I'm not talking extra courses here but real ones for business or Computer science. It'll be a while for major American colleges to offer it towards degrees.

great idea! put bitcoin into a subject lol (it is relevant to both computer science, engineering and/or economy [ marketing etc. ])

It'll be a rare sight, although some schools would allow this on a project you might get mislead as to whether the information came up with is even relevant to popular demand or to become outdated.

The age is too new to see on class material, in fact too far as to whether it will be the same 10-1000 years from now besides price increases.

It will not happen unless bitcoin has been legalized in a country and has been acknowledged and supported by the government, to achieve it, certainly not easy for bitcoin and other cryptos. Everything needs to be well known to the masses and easy to learn. In the present day people prefer the more easy and profitable than the opposite. Without the occurrence of it all I think bitcoin still not feasible to be included in the learning of the younger generation. So to know bitcoin, you have to learn by internet, youtube or other social media, there may be some books sold in the market that provide information about bitcoin.

If I'm not mistaken, in the US there are some courses that are offered which give some intro into cryptocurrencies; but it doesn't really make sense to me why you would want to pay big money to some college to teach you the basics of Bitcoin.  Everything about Bitcoin is "google-able" and you will probably find out a whole lot more by asking questions to people on forums like these or Bitcoin's stack exchange forum.

It just seems dumb to "make a job" out of this.  To me this is/should be more of a hobby type of thing.
