Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
It would be a great idea if the government will support it, although there are countries that already legalized it as a currency. People will be more awared of the advantages of crypto and BTC. The value depends on the market's demand, and if there'll be more people that will engage themselves in BTC, it'll surely make an impact to BTC.

That was a good idea. If many countries will
continue to accept bitcoin then maybe there
is a chance that bitcoin will be adopted in
educating the new generations.

It seems to me that to study in College bitcoin makes no sense. Most people are users of the currency and they do not need to learn the basics of the blockchain. They have e-wallet and use bitcoin. This is my opinion.

I dont think bitcoin could be used in education system. Though there are several books or e-books on bitcoin, cryptocurrency, trading, mining, gambling, etc. If bitcoin is legalised in every country then perhaps government can involve bitcoin or other cryptocurrency in education system. Some percentage of bitcoins are also used in illegal activoties like deepweb, smuggling, etc.

Hmm, indeed now bitcoin still a debate by most government officials in all countries. because of the nature of the technology brought by bitcoin is very good and gives a pretty good impact, but indeed all things certainly will be no defect or something that is negative. But it also depends how we always do the best information for everyone. Maybe this could be one of the alternatives that must be undertaken by all countries, because right now it's a lot of minors who have been tainted by bad thoughts

It is normal to know that bitcoin is not yet recognized by most of the people and it is not available for teaching new generations because i believe that if they want change then they will do it by their self and they don't need like teachings because even us do not depend on teachings because we did a lot of research to just know bitcoin. If they want something new then they need to change their self first.

For me, it is a good idea. Since many student are interested in bitcoin, because you can earn money while studying. And i`m sure that in the near future bitcoin will become popular in all countries. But first we have to make people aware of bitcoin.

There are no related courses or any subjects that will teach you or tell you about bitcoin. With that, you can say that bitcoin is not that popular at all even in many good and popular colleges. If you will be asking me, you can just self search bitcoin, or maybe someone or one of your friends told you about bitcoin.

It is a great idea but Bitcoin popularity is not enough yet and the government hasn't decide it is a legal currency or not, when the government had legalized maybe we can learn it in the college, and I think it is a good thing it will make our future transactions system become better, and crypto currencies can provide so many possibility for a better future

It will be great, but it will happen when bitcoin is legalized ... if not, of course lessons about bitcoin can not be applied in any school or college. And in addition to the bitcoin finance lessons learned, lessons about computer programs are also be obtained

With enough knowledge, you can teach yourself the basics of bitcoin(just like what I did Cheesy).
it will be a waste of money and time to learn it in college, just like you said your course is IT,
you have the ability to learn more about bitcoin and its system more than some users in Bitcoin.

Actually there are already many schools that have integrated blockhain and cryptocurrency in their curriculum and most of it are located at Europe and some in the United States of America. In the list we have in the Unites States of America : 1. Stanford University which offers courses on cryptocurrency and bitcoin, 2. University of California Berkeley which teaches blockchain technology, 3. Massachusetts Institute of Technology,  and 4. Coursera with Princeton University that offers 11-week cryptocurrency technologies course. There are also other schools but I have not gotten their names. The names of school in the list are few of some schools in the United States, the schools in Europe were not included in the schools that I mention.

Just as expected since its not being still regulated thats why its not really being included on the curriculum regarding on teaching about bitcoin and yet also cryptocurrency are just new and it would really takes time for them to consider on putting it but this thing would really depend on the adoption of bitcoin on your place or in entire world. Government doesnt really like for the students or people to be aware of this thing for sure because it can really give impact specially on money transfers and tax issues.

I've never read an article about bitcoin in the school curriculum, not even a thesis about bitcoin. Bitcoin is still an underground business and is filled with people who are able to read business opportunities in the online world. I suppose bitcoin curriculum can happen only from the US government factor, if Donald Trump already recognizes bitcoin will automatically make bitcoin adapted by the whole world.

Bitcoin may not have found a place in educational books yet but it will definitely be a part of studies in schools and colleges, universities soon. Governments of various countries are showing interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and the talks of regulating and legalizing it are everywhere so no wonder bitcoin and cryptocurrencies become part of studies very soon in the future.

I could see Bitcoin being taught in a cryptography course or even a computer science course. If it was though, I believe it would just be a topic in a course. I can't imagine a whole class being taught on it...

...actually, on second thought, I can. I remember a class that taught "Lord of the Rings mythology". I remember someone telling me they were in that class. Actually it may have been their degree. It was either their degree or a class. I'm not sure what practical use that could be in the real world, but YOLO I guess.

Teaching about bitcoin in economics seems pointless to me. Honestly, even in computer science is a stretch.
