BitCoin and altcoin markets are highly interdependent. The BitCoin-altcoin price relationship is stronger in the short-run than in the long-run. Macro-financial developments determine virtual currency prices stronger in the short- than the long-run.

I'm more interested in both because if we convert to bitcoin then sometimes it's wrong, because some altcoins are more prospective in terms of profitability with minimal capital but if we play with high enough capital then bitcoin is the right thing to say

Right, choosing both is a better thing, currently there are many choices of altcoins because they are supported by large companies, by dividing the investment portion, we have the opportunity to get big profits, I think we need a long time to get 10x profit with bitcoin, but with altcoins then for profit 100x easier.

altcoin can give you big number if you can hold as long as you can, and this method can be interupt by your desire when the user feel that is a good price.
and bitcoin is the best choice when you want to hold coin, and avoid to thing about it price.

Before investing in altcoins we need to do research first and analyze them,
it's important because there are a lot of coins and to minimize the risk too,
that way we can choose the right coin for investment

Investing in altcoins is very risky compared to investing in Bitcoin, because there are so many altcoins circulating today. And the problem is not all of
them are good and can generate profits. I agree with you, before deciding to invest in altcoins, it is better to do research and analysis first. So that
we can choose potential coins and avoid shitcoins. But for those who can't do research and analysis well, I suggest focusing on investing in Bitcoin only.
Or if we really want to try investing in altcoins, we can first try to buy the top 10 altcoins, it's safer to do.
but if we have a lot of free time, then it never hurts to do research on potential altcoins, or we can choose altcoins at the top rankings such as ethereum and binance which are safe to invest. but indeed for me of course do not put capital in just one coin, of course we must have more knowledge to increase wealth, and learn to look for opportunities from many altcoins

I think its too late for bitcoin that's why I go for alts.
You are wrong. Never too late if you really want to invest in Bitcoin, especially for the long term. Even today is the right time to buy because the price of Bitcoin has dropped significantly. People already wait for this time to buy more before the next jump of Bitcoin price. If you missed the chance to buy previously, now is your time.

Im a small trader trying to find those 1000% gains which is probably not attainable with BTC as of the moment.
Don't forget that the risk is also as big as the potential profits you can get. You are possible to gain 1000%, but you also can lose all your funds. Especially for new altcoins, it has a chance to be dead coins. It means the token to have no value anymore. While Bitcoin, the price won't be zero, it is proven for years.

You can prefer Bitcoin and altcoins at the same time now I believe. Not only Bitcoin but also altcoins like Ethereum (especially) and BNB are also on the rise now. It is your choice to decide which one of them you will invest into the most. It feels like Bitcoin can double its price even in this year if we get a new bull market. Or maybe it can achieve this level in 2022. You can think of investing into Ethereum also as it is increasing very quickly these days.
.

Exactly, we have more than 11k altcoins and currently there are hundreds of ICO projects, I think altcoins have good and profitable prospects because with low prices it is easier to get 100x profit, so many projects have ambitions to be 100x.

It's never too late to buy bitcoin. And that has been said too when it has dipped to $3k and then went up to $10k and also $20k and so on. But you see, that it's never too late.

Im a small trader trying to find those 1000% gains which is probably not attainable with BTC as of the moment. I know the risks behind it but still rewards are much more looking up to than the risks of loss.
That's sort of difficult to assess, the goal of looking to those with 1000% gain is hard than you can ever imagine. But if you know the risk about it and you're doing fine with that strategy of yours then good luck with your alts based portfolio without having bitcoin.

That is the thing about the current crypto situation, there are times when we made profits in the past without help from anyone else however nowadays there are companies going in. It means that there are even projects that get investment from big companies as well, can you imagine how centralized it is? Project creators gets investment from huge hedge funds and investors with the promise of making more money back to them, how are they going to make that money?

This is the problem with the current system but it is making everyone a profit and that is why nobody makes a noise about it. I personally feel like there is a good chance we will have a huge crash, because centralization is horrible and leads to death of coins, yet we are seeing way too many centralized currencies.

The first choice is Bitcoin. Will do short-term altcoins.
Long-term Bitcoin is king.
You can match the investment plan according to your own money. Don't invest all your money. It is recommended that you invest a quarter of your salary each time.

Why not both? I have around 30-35% of my portfolio in bitcoin, around 20% on ethereum and the rest is other altcoins, and I have been quite happy with the results so far, I do not get why we have to pick one.

If you do not have enough cash to invest into all of them then the best course of action would be just to put it all on bitcoin and wait until you have a lot of money to go into others, but even with 1000 dollars you can still distribute like 500 bucks to bitcoin, 250 bucks to ethereum and other 250 into other stuff, go to Binance and they have selection of coins and you can use your 1000 dollars to slice it up to many different coins and keep it there. That's of course just what I think and I could be wrong, maybe best way is to invest into just one, and I could be wrong.

I watching some altcoins which the bubble are very big. I mean if bear market happen the price of those coin will fall very deep, but it's not a bad thing for contrarian investor like me. Honestly, this one of many reasons why I bought altcoin too. More than 50% of my fund is allocated for btc, and the rest are divided into several altcoin such as ETH, TRX, DASH and etc. Some altcoins has very big potential to get big market share, so in line with company's growth the price of that altcoin will be rise, when all infrastructures are ready for those companies then the price of those altcoin will rise like a rocket. For example is TRX, this coin price is already rise 100% from the lowest point at bearish market, I bought it at very cheap price, today the value is double. I still prefer like to invest in BTC rather than altcoin because altcoin still very depend on the company itself. Government regulations and other economy factors will affect those altcoin.

For quick and big profits, you may consider investing in altcoins but if you want to be 100% safe in your investments, then your best option is bitcoin only.

Bitcoin is not a safe option rather a good choice to invest on since remember the price still so volatile and the chances to lose is so high, we see so many people lose their wealth when suddenly bitcoin drops especially bear season occur on certain months on the ecosystem. Maybe we need to learn on how to manage the risk first so that we will not get caught on false expectation.
To make sure your investment will be worth it, you shouldn't just invest in Bitcoin alone. Make your money move always that doesn't rely only on Bitcoin because for instance. What if Bitcoin dump that even a single altcoin would surpass its price then what would you do? That's why I'm saying this to diversify most of your Bitcoin and this way you can at least minimize the risk. Anyway, this is just for worst case scenario since I know there's no altcoins would ever surpass the price of Bitcoin, ever.

Don't think every investment is safe as if there's no risk of it at all. That's not how it works when it comes to investment.

It actually depends on your goal as an investor. Generally, BTCs are more volatile compared to other altcoins due to its price dominance on the market. With lots of influence affecting its price, some people take advantage of it by short or long-term investment. But personally, I would suggest diversifying your investments by investing into both.

As someone who invested to BTC, I prefer to invest them long term due to the potential forks that will happen 3-4 years from now. Though the top 10 altcoins in the market somehow follow the trend of BTC, I would still suggest investing on the latter.

I will choose Bitcoin. Because I have not enough time to follow the market and the price. I don't have enough time to do day trading. I am a long time investor. Because of it I choose Bitcoin. And i know that Bitcoin is best for long time investment. I don't need to follow the market in everyday. I am investing my money on Bitcoin and wait for the good price and then i sell them. After that I'm waiting for the DIP. When price decrease then i buy Bitcoin and hold them for good price again.
