Etherium has evolved with time but bitcoin has been in the crypto industry like the boss it is. Etherium may grow in value with time but can be taken over by competitors such as etherium classis, tezos or eos. In regards to bitcoin, it may have just got started
It looks like ETH value is not moving at all and this is really a shame. Right now bitcoin seems to be the better option for investing in but i still hope ETH will gave a lot of value next year.
These both are very promising coins but Bitcoin will always at the top of cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is the most decentralized and in fact the most democratic coin as well and having the highest market cap of $ 100 billion. Ethereum I believe will be at the top of all Altcoins.
I really don't think that these two can be compared because the two coins were built for different reasons. These coins will be very useful and has a bright future ahead.
I think ETH has more of a future - you can do more with it - and while it may not be widely accepted now around for things - it will be and I think it will be MORE SO than BTC in very little time.

For me bitcoin will still be the future cryptocurrency because it has established its market with a lot of people believing on it that it can be a good investment and will likely to have a high value appreciation after few more years although it is very obvious that ethereum has a very promising value appreciation still it cannot replace bitcoin standing in the market especially now that the demand of bitcoin is growing very fast and its popularity become wider and wider through the years.
There is some people said that bitcoin is the future cryptocurrency and some are ethereum but for me both of these are the highest value in the market. These crypto have a bright future.
The expansion of the ETH is truly outrageous, and it is very interesting and advanced that almost any blockchain application can be run on the public chain of the ETH with a smart contract.The advantage of bitcoin is that it is an old-age coin, even the benchmark unit of altcoin, which ETH cannot match.
Also, Bitcoin is great because it is decentralized while Ethereum is centralized which is a hindrance to beating BTC. ETH is good as making smart contract while BTC is much widely accepted and there are merchants who accept BTC as a mode of payment and legalized it unlike ETH who is stuck in creating smart contracts and nothing much.
Ethereum so far is performing well and the value appreciate like bitcoin does but for a long term market I think bitcoin will still be at the top in the future because it has proven its capacity to become a valuable asset and also the demand of bitcoin is more higher than ethereum and I guess this will continue to grow in the coming years

Yes, bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency than ethereum and it has the biggest advantage compare to ethereum. I think bitcoin was first introduced than ethereum. Because of satoshi bitcoin was known in all country. Maybe in the future cryptocurrency, both of them existed, because there are some characteristics that cannot remove. Maybe ethereum was created to have support on bitcoin.

both of them is the future..may be when i have alot of money, i invest in 50 percent on btc, 30 percent on ethereum, and 20 persen another altcoin
Bitcoin and ethereum are completely different things, we shouldn't compare them as one provide secure and anonymous payment gateway others provide platform for smart contracts. Both bitcoin and Ethereum can be big things in future, where ETH might be used for different purposes and bitcoin as payment method and as store of value.
It depends how far into the future you're talking about. I think really long term something else comes along that is better than both and becomes the main thing everyone uses. Mainly because currencies have problems and in the digital space it is possible to create the perfect one and that obviously hasn't been done yet.
