Both are good for long term investment but if we take into consideration their capacity to give us huge profits, i guess i would go for bitcoin. Though lotecoin also gives us profit, but bitcoin gives us more. Other than that, bitcoin is a lot more established than litecoin and has greater potential than the other.

You are letting us choose between Bitcoin and Litecoin, but in terms of what? In terms of technology? Or price growth? Or perhaps in terms of which one is faster? Or which one is cheaper in fees? Bitcoin is ahead in some respects and behind in some also. So Litecoin is also better than Bitcoin in certain aspects especially about confirmation speed. It has already installed its lightning network. In terms of price, I go for both of course as an investment.
Bitcoin was the first crypto currency and the best coin ever. It is a very important step for the blockchain to enter the market. So more people will choose BTC.
Base of my opinion. I'll go for Bitcoin. Because with the potentials of litecoin maybe time will only tell if its the king. But with the present status of Bitcoin nothing can beat Bitcoin as the king of cryptocurrency.
As for me I believe it better future for bitcoin. Bitcoin has the most powerful network behind it, it has the first mover advantage, it has massive amounts of venture capital pouring into it, it has services and products being built around it.Bitcoin increasingly being referred to as digital gold. As price go up, transaction fees stay relatively high, people will be hesitant to bring that out to pay for minor things.

In my opinion, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency and no one in crypto that can surpass this base cryptocurrency. Litecoin shows a lot of potential and good altcoin to invest but I dont think litecoin is that close to bitcoin because there are also lots of crypto which are better than litecoin.
