Of course Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best of all. Do not compare to this. If you invest for a long-term, you will be benefitted greatly by bitcoin. I think Ethereum's popularity and the number of investors will increase after 5 years, but it will not be able to compete with Bitcoin prices 5 years later. Because bitcoin's position is very much above.

I think it will still be bitcoin in 5 years. ETH does not seem to run out of bugs and self destructive mistakes that could destroy their product in the long run. Unless they change how they manage their business and quality control the coders who works on their project, they will self destruct soon.

i think i should go both.we are all the witness how the bitcoin dominate the whole crypto world its supremacy and power above all of them,but we must not forget that second to btc is eth in which naking his own path now,so better hold both for a long run coz no one knows what will happen in future if btc will stay dominating or other coins will outgrow.
In terms of popularity and fast increase prices I think bitcoin will win this competition you know bitcoin is very popular and its proven that bitcoin price increase faster we don't know how much will increase in 5 years but I'm sure bitcoin is more profitable but ethereum is profitable also you can invest both of them if you want to.

By the way diversification would be the best idea for you. Bitcoin is growing very fast lately, what can means that bitcoin has a bright future or we can expect huge dump soon.From the other hand the situatio with ETH is not even better, the price in more acceptable but the 300 millions ETH are blocked and probably waiting and reading charts could be very well solution.

Maybe the two crypto might have the best price in coming year. But the BTC is the first we know that prices might have increase because it is now centralized to our banks and it is ultimately the peoples hope
I would choose bitcoins over ethereum any time as bitcoins are great and it's the first crypto currency so it has good foundation in the market and also that it has good demand and support from people more then what ethereum has and 5 years ain't enough to cover that gap and overcome or atleast come near bitcoins.But i must say that ethereum does has potential to grow and might overtake bitcoins but not in atleast in this decade or so.
For me, we cannot dictate what will happen on the next years of our lives. But based on what happening right now, bitcoin will be more reliable and i guess this will go through a lot of years or decades. This will continue to grow up.
Bitcoin is unstoppable and it will continue to become unstoppable after 5 years, there is no chance for any altcoin to beat bitcoin even ethereum. Bitcoin will continue to improve and become bigger that will make its foundation even stronger than now. Bitcoin price is one of the proof that bitcoin is a very tough opponent for the altcoins and even the top altcoins will not be able to defeat bitcoin.
I don’t agree, the bitcoin technology and protocols are the older ones, it will rule the crypto world for sometime but after that it is not going to survive with these protocols. Those people hoping that bitcoin will bring a change into its technology are sorry to say but wrong at the moment. Stake holders associated with the bitcoin technology don’t want carry any change into its technology. They are trying the other split chains of bitcoin to become establish so that the miners and the rest of the people involved in the game can get benefit from it. The recent off of segwit2x is an example of it. The alts may grow bigger than the bitcoin in future. Ethereum can play a leading role in the future due to its vast characteristics formation.

I think that both Bitcoin and ethereum can show tremendous amount of growth in five years as both of them are really popular projects available on the market. Bitcoin being the first crypto is the most popular and is very stable in the long run. Ethereum on other hand is the master of all smart contracts. Both projects have alot of potential to grow for sure. You can expect the price of Bitcoin to be above 15000$ within 5 years and you can expect the price of ethereum to be above 1500$ for sure.

Though, actually $15000 can be achieved easily if there's massive pump just like what happen earlier.

I prefer bitcoin than ethereum. although etherium is more stable than bitcoin, but the price of bitcoin is higher than etherium. therefore, investing in bitcoin is more profitable rather than ethereum.

Nothings defeat the mother of all crypto currency even eth bitcoin is still the best profitable to invest and i am pretty sure with that bitcoin already prove his self that bitcoin will be the best because the price is start with low value and now see where we are now. And the eth is depending on bitcoin price too so if the bitcoin price will decrease then theres no chance for eth to increase its price. 
I still think that bitcoin is better than ethereum. and even bitcoin after 5 years there will be an increase from the current price. then investing in bitcoin is definitely more profitable

Does anyone think the latest Wallet "Malfunction" will cause a drop in Ether Prices from people selling off Ether to avoid it maybe happening to them? I feel like this is a strong possibility.
I think BTC or ETH will develop after 5 years but maybe BTC will outperform ETH many times. I always appreciate BItcoin and see its potential in the future. You should invest it now because it can hit the $ 10k mark in the near future
Bitcoin already outperformed ethereum and even once, ethereum didn't have a chance to outperformed bitcoin it is very clear to say that bitcoin will become more powerful and even right now, ethereum can't outperformed bitcoin because of the great things that bitcoin have like solid community, big investors and so on.

No doubt in that bitcoin will be the most profitable investment because for last some months the growth of ethereum is not big but the bitcoin growth is very high so its shows that demand for the bitcoin is more in future also it wil get more and more so invest on bitcoin and enjoy your future with high returns.
But when see the growth rate of ethereum over the lat year the growth is high about 3000% but last couple of months it is low.I hope in future the growth of bitcoin will be more than altcoin so i think investing on bitcoin is better.
There is nothing to think too much when it is in the case for making an investment decision as bitcoins are more powerful tool which helps to improve our financial position as per the current market trends there is nothing to make a second thought relating to making an investment especially when we have to make a choice in between btc vs ethereum even after five years time i feel that bc will continue its growth and its rate will be even higher than as of now it is 7k plus dollars and in next five years it will be even more.
