There are different talks about ETH's future, some people call it scam and some promise that it will replace bitcoin one day. All that I was reading on this forum. Opinions are really different. But the thing is that we can just suppose what is going to happen in five years. Someone will say "I was right!" and someone will not. So I think you need to invest in both and see what is going to happen 
Bitcoin would go over 15k by that time that ETH is around 3k, but both coins are worth to do a investment we know that it has the potential to do it. In 5 years they are really worth money.
Thats why i collect now ETH based coins so they will be worth more in the future.

Bitcoin will surely be more profitable even in the next 5 years since as of now, it is already mote profitable than Etherium. But still, Etherium is a good coin and having a high market value compared to most of the altcoins. But it is just that Bitcoin has a higher rate of increase on its value due to high market demand. And since Bitcoin has a larger community, surely even in the future, it will still be better than Etherium in all aspects.
Bitcoin will become the winner here because even right now you can see who is the real one and you can see that there is a lot of negative comments about ethereum right now because of the bug that they found while bitcoin is getting a lot of compliments because of the price surges and i hope that this will continue to the next few months.

Both were profitable curreny in my opinion but i prefer about bitcoin rather than ethereum, if you wanna to invest and you can try to divide your amount. Just spent the more amount into the bitcoin. For 5 years there will be another halving for bitcoin and casper pos for ethereum. it brings a lot of value. This is so true, its better to diversify the investment. Both have good potential, base from the price movement in the past months. Etherium started from 10$ and finally reach 300+$ mark. While bitcoin have obviously multiply its price and become more stable and fixed. We should not miss the profit they will be offering, it better if investment will be made in both coin. Etherium may not easily reach bitcoins price but it showed potential that it may be the next bitcoin.

ETH price may not reach Bitcoin price in anytime future.
Etherium price have shown tremendous growth from the past 10 months. It just started with 10$ mark and now have reached 310$ mark. This only shows that etherium has promising futurw and may also cause good return of investment. It true that etherium will not instantly reach what bitcoin have, but its also good to have some good amount for etherium. Multiple investment is a wise choice, you might lessen profit loss and take part from the growth happened from both coin.

at this moment, it is bitcoin which is more profitable than Etherium and I think even in the future with the period of time that you've mentioned which is 5 years from now, I think it would still be Bitcoin who will be more profitable for the fact that it has a much larger market value and is still continuously increasing and becoming more expensive as time passes by which will guve huge profit on its users and investors. If I think it is definitely beneficial btc because it can be seen from the many enthusiasts today.This has a great impact on the rising movement of btc prices from year to year.So if you have started to run properly would be able to create great opportunities in search for profits that will be abundant.

ETH price may not reach Bitcoin price in anytime future.
For me, i don't think that Ether will ever catch up to Bitcoin no matter what. The trend difference is too big, plus the popularity of bitcoin just keeps propelling it along while Ether is foreshadowed by it. Even in five years time, i reckon that BTC will still be the way to go man.
For me the answer is obvious. Bitcoin is a more reliable value. This is happening even now. In the long run it will be even more pronounced. The mechanism of inflation underlying the Ethereum will never allow him to become promising in the long term. He's probably already reached my limit.
Its true, that bitcoin is more promising than etherium. But etherium has also something to say and has good future in crypto system. I think its better if you'll be investing in both coins. Diversifying will help you not missed the profit coin has to offer and also to decrease the possibility of losing money. We never know what coin may bring, it may suddenly pump in value which will give you better profit. So better invest in both coins.

It is already necessary now and not after 5 years to invest in the Ethereum, this is the most reasonable and cheap solution for the poor beginners who can afford to lose a little. With bitcoin everything is more complicated, and the losses are colossal. 
I agree both will become profitable investment after five years you don't need to choose either of them if you have enough money for investment better try both who knows if they both pump very well after few more years you can become an instant millionaire in a short period of time. The price of bitcoin keeps appreciating while ethereum start to pump again this means any of them can become a good investment asset.
In my prediction. btc will go to the moon. all altcoins including eth will only support btc
I will prefer Bitcoin. In the future both coin are great future but If we look around Bitcoin history than you can see Bitcoin has proven that best cryptocurrency for long-term investment. So, none of can take bitcoin place
