Both of their price will rise but the bitcoin is still bigger than ethereum and people who invested on both will have a greater profit since the demand on digital currencies will be high after 5 years. Even bitcoin is greater after 5 years, ethereum is still the main payment method in ICOs.
I think better trading ETH, why? because for now the price is still fairly small in comparison with more expensive bitcoin. you can invest ETH now at a price of 300 + USD maybe 5 years to come can be 5,000 USD

I think both ethereum and bitcoin will be reliable to invest in them because if you invest in bitcoin it will provide you very large amount of profit in future by watching the condition of bitcoin in today's market conditions which shows it is increasing day by day which seems to be more volatile but when we see ethereum it is also volatile coin in the market but its value is not much increasing as bitcoin value is increasing but after five years i think etherum will also reach that position that bitcoin has reached in today's market and it will give a better hard to hard competition to btc so i think you should invest in both of them.~||Best Of Luck||~
I think Ethereum will appreciate and will have a good value after 5 years because as of today it's value is quite low but for investment purposes I still choose bitcoin because the increase in value is much higher in bitcoin than ethereum although ethereum may appreciate soon but that increase cannot compensate the biggest hit bitcoin made this year it almost tripled it's value in less than a year which I think ethereum cannot do.
Well i think they are both profitable digital currencies but i preferrable to bitcoin rather ethereum. If you want to earn high you need to invest more in bitcoin. And while ethereum you can have to invest in lesser amount because in the end its good profit also.

Not as easy to predict as you think. If BTC continues its current popularity trend, then it's not far from being mainstream, I mean when people say crypto currency they think about bitcoin, not ETH or anything else it's "altcoin". So I would lean toward BTC's side, but ETH will rise significantly Imo. 
Bitcoin seems to be going up the most , i think it is because it is the most famous.

Obvious isn't it, price of ethereum today is far beyond bitcoin. Based on my computation 5 years is not enough for ethereum to beat bitcoin, that's why I'm still into bitcoin. As of now bitcoin is 23% higher than ethereum and for me the percentage of their gap will just play around 15 to 25 percent in the coming years and until 5 years limit of yours is been reached.
No matter if it's 5 or 10 years, I think ethereum will never beat bitcoin. Bitcoin is way more reliable, and we're more used to it. The case would be different if it's ethereum that came first before bitcoin. The result might be the opposite I think 
I think the two coins are Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best koins today, if combined then market bitcoin and ethereum reach more than 80%, I'm sure the future of bitcoin and ethereum will continue to improve, bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency while Ethereum is the most important cyrptocurrency because many tokens .
These coins are both good it is just a matter who do you believe will last long ? for me bitcoins because it already prove itself through the years , long live bitcoin !
I do agree with you bitcoin will still be number one, I think ethereum will improve but since Bitcoin had established and deeply rooted, it will really take time for ethereum to take the lead that is if Bitcoin fail to evolve. Though I believe that it is impossible for bitcoin to not evolve. We can see regular updates and commit on bitcoin github. And developers are very active.

This is true you can make with both of the coins profit. Investing in ETH will be easy because the price is not that much now so you can make easier profit from it. While if you invest in bitcoin thats another story it will take too much of your time. For me it is better to invest in eth for quick investments. Bitcoin will take a lot of your time to make a good profit from it, because its already so high now. If i could invest i would go for ETH now just because its very cheap now.

Exactly that lesser supply that will be in the market, more demand and more profit. Unlike with ETH the supply is more than bitcoin but yet there's a good market cap of it but when you are into getting profit for having small fraction of any of these two coins, then go with bitcoin.
Ethereum is a very promising crypto currency, and a powerful platform for tokens, it is giving a new concept for crypto dealers. But Bitcoin will stay in the first place for so many coming years, it is a lot more valuable and popular than Ethereum.
Very unlogical question when you see what happens these months, especially this last one year. People were wondering if bitcoin could to reach 1000$ again but as we see it's a more than 7000$ and today it's high was 7,879$. So if bitcoin could to rise so quickly, is it impossible to fall so quickly? Rise is the hardest part but fall is the easiest one. If bitcoin did, ether has chanse too, also look that ether is second coin on coinmarketcup. No one knows what crazy thing will happen but of course mostly we have hope of bitcoin.

It is BTC mate not BT, the sad truth about the bitcoin against ETH. No matter how many features the ETH will do as long as it will not surpass the market cap of bitcoin, bitcoin will remain as the king. I doubt it that just for 5 years ETH will taking over the spot of bitcoin. For profitable I would say that Bitcoin will still be the most profitable maybe up to 20 years.We don't know what's going to happen for the next years and that's what I want to believe too. There's so much debate on this thing and ETH believers will say that ETH will be the best and will take over bitcoin for the next upcoming years. I have seen on social medias that there are media companies that are advertising ETH or they are just paid by whomever to create a video about ETH and promote it then.

Op, it is not rational for one to put all his or her "eggs in one basket". Investing in only bitcoin or Ethereum for the next five years is not rational because anything can happen to your investment. I will advise you to spread your investment to bitcoin, ethereum and other ten top altcoins that has growth prospect. 
Bitcoin will be best to invest your money into as there will be less amount of bitcoins to be mined after 5 years also their demand is high so high demand and low supply will lead to rise in its price. So keep your money invested in bitcoin.
