For me the answer is obvious. Bitcoin is a more reliable value. This is happening even now. In the long run it will be even more pronounced. The mechanism of inflation underlying the Ethereum will never allow him to become promising in the long term. He's probably already reached my limit.
It can't be deniable that bitcoin is more profitable since before. This is just a long term competition, and almost of crypto community more preferable to bitcoin than ETH because of it's amazing historical records in terms of profit gaining.
Although, we can say that there us a lot of changes in there way, and I know both of them will still exist on that time. But I believe bitcoin price will be doubled as of price today. ETH still doing great  but not like with bitcoin movement.

I guess bitcoin will still be better than ethereum. the better the use of ethereum, the better is the use of bitcoin. well, it will be a competition that will continue to exist. I think ethereum will also be developed better than bitcoin, maybe the price will be stable.

I think bitcoin is still the best, seeing bitcoin prices are growing. while eth does not experience price increase.
It is true that bitcoin is good and has a high price and a high popularty, but ethereum brings more than just currency it lets poeple create their own currency and use it efficently, i think that if ethereum was created before bitcoin it will defintly be the first, bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency that was good that is why it became so popular which lead to its price getting higher, in 5 years ethereum might not surpass bitcoin but it is going to become popular, just look at ico that are being created that are being posted on the forum.

Answer on this question is very difficult. Bitcoin grows every day, ethereum is currently about on the same course, after fork, bitcoin may fall in price, but most likely bitcoin price will recover without any problems. Ethereum has a chance to get same popularity as bitcoin, but after a while. So you can try invest in ethereum while course is not too big.

5 years is very less time for ethereum to compete with bitcoin . Bitcoin as we can all see is turning out to be the leading crypto currency .
In the coming 5 years as the number of people associated and linked with bitcoin will increase its value will increase even more . The growth rate of ethereum as compared to other alt coins besides bitcoin is quite good but still there is so much left to achieve for ethereum as compared to bitcoin .
In the coming 5 years people are still going to consider investing in bitcoin instead of ethereum.
bitcoin and ethereum both are good coins but in comparison according to my opinion ethereum will never compete with bitcoin because bitcoin is the super currency in all coins present in the rate and no coin can lead the bitcoin price but yes its true that etherum will have also a good rate in future.

I think bitcoins because besides this is the previous crypto currencies. It also has the highest volume of crypto today. There are also many jurisdictions and many countries have accepted and granted governmental blessings to be legal in their country. Ethreum in my knowledge of it was established in 2014. And it was fast-paced until it had great developments and is now considered second to bitcoins. But this will remain the second because it has a lot to do with the fact that its price has fallen. Many people have already filled out their hold of ETH to invest in solid and rising Bitcoins.

What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH

If you will ask me then i will go with BTC as ETH is not reliable and anyone can mess with it. Recent attack on its blockchain is the proof that anyone with non technical knowledge person can also mess with ETH. BTC is fully protected

if now it would all be an answer bitcoin, but if the next 5 years, it is something that is not necessarily happen, but in my opinion will still be superior bitcoin, but the frequency is not so far, maybe the price between eth and bitcoin slightly balanced, that's just an estimate from me aja, it could happen, but maybe it never happened ..

What is most profitable to invest for 5 years ?BT or ETH
It is BTC mate not BT, the sad truth about the bitcoin against ETH. No matter how many features the ETH will do as long as it will not surpass the market cap of bitcoin, bitcoin will remain as the king. I doubt it that just for 5 years ETH will taking over the spot of bitcoin. For profitable I would say that Bitcoin will still be the most profitable maybe up to 20 years.
I do not believe in such an outcome. This will not happen even in 100 years. The Ethereum will never have this level of capitalization as bitcoin has now. It seems to me that over time, the ETH will only lose its value. Infinite coin mining will contribute to that. Until bitcoin will live the rest of the coins will only see his back.

Bitcoin's market cap hovers around $42.4 billion, with Ethereum not too far behind at $34.6 billion. Ethereum will never overtake Bitcoin. Ethereum price also going up can not reach Bitcoin level and Bitcoin further rising.

Bitcoin has better chances than Ethereum to return good interest on the investment for 5 years. Bitcoin has grown so much over the past years that many new investors are getting attracted towards it. The demand for BTC is much larger than ETH and this is why BTC will be a much profitable investment for the upcoming years. BTC has already proved this year through its tremendous growth that it has more potential than any other coin in the crypto market.

Solidity and the smart contracts that run on it are still not even close to the level of security, reliability and stability that would be required for what Ethereum tries to achieve. Unless they get their shit together in this area I don't see a bright future for Ethereum, given that its extended scripting capabilities is the main value proposition that Ethereum brings to the table.

As a currency there's little to be gained from Ethereum, especially since its scalability is just as bad -- if not worse -- as Bitcoin's in its current state. Add to that questionable forking policies (I'll probably never get over how they handled the DAO, but maybe that's just misdirected principles) and the fact that Ethereum the technology can be easily decoupled from ETH the currency, I remain an ETH skeptic.

That being said, I think from a fiat perspective there's still room to grow, short term ETH might even outperform BTC for a while, but long term I don't see it pushing BTC from its throne.

Both were profitable curreny in my opinion but i prefer about bitcoin rather than ethereum, if you wanna to invest and you can try to divide your amount. Just spent the more amount into the bitcoin. For 5 years there will be another halving for bitcoin and casper pos for ethereum. it brings a lot of value.

Bitcoin for sure. if you buy it today at $7,000 it will be $35,000 for the next 5 years in which its times 5 your investment. As you can see more and more are buying bitcoins because they see the promising future from now that looks like nobody can stop bitcoin in five years. Everyday bitcoin reputations and trust keeps on increasing, the investment keeps on coming resulting to price value keep on increasing so no doubt, it will reach the speculated value after 5 years.

my opinion it depends, how many bitcoins will be sold by some devlopment with bussines bitcoin finance, while users eth has a lot buy tokens or ico, some dev eth start paying dividends, this fierce competition between eth and bitcoin.

I think Ethereum would be more profitable if the current BTC rally stabilizes, of course if you look backward definitely bitcoin is the prime winner, but in future if bitcoin's price really does slow down and people are shifting back into alts, Ethereum would raise as there are some much ERC20 tokens adopting its powerful contract with potential ideas and was left unnoticed, and in fact people are actually USING/CIRCULATING Ethereum rather just trading in other currency pairs.

There aren't significant movement on ETH/fiat pairs since last year, and i think bitcoin downfall is much more likely and ETH would be focused instead if that happens. $300 per ETH is still cheap considering so much projects are depending on their blockchain mechanism.

But either way it's still realistic to put a 50/50 on both for 5 year investment, diversifying your portfolio is really important to mitigate risks.

It would be good if you could do both don't put all your eggs in one basket you might regret it on the end , personally I will invest more on bitcoins because it's already proved it's worthiness throughout the years but eth is also a good choice and yun can expect a good result also in the end , so actually I'll go for both of them
