I was actually thinking how much or little this amount means in the Philippines, I know that total amount is shown in OP. So maybe we can help farmers and children's orphanages/homeless by dividing the money into three equal parts or something like that.
Oh, I see, the total amount is significant one way or another for them because they could benefit from it most of the time. I hope by dividing the funds, it would spread the love. No hardships on the decision.

In my opinion, children are the most vulnerable part of society, especially those who have no parents. I know that in some parts of the world, many such children live on the street, and they are not at all to blame for their living situation. I think farmers are in a far more favorable situation, have a roof over their heads and food, but part of the funds can still be directed at them.
With all you said, I do agree that children are a vital part of society. They have the future in their hands and it's up to them to conquer it. Maybe if it would help them understand that there are still good in people, they won't treat the world like it's putting it down on them. No vengeance.

That would require so much time and manpower just to make that happen,... So I think, its better to put it on one way after the other if were talking about is for Christmas.
I would likely follow what can be decide, and attend to it by that time.
I doubt it would require manpower and time with just donations, it's just basically giving money. But with an actual event to take place to help the needy, it would require more people than it should. It would be different to have an event like that and I think it would be more fulfilling to have done the job like that.

But in this phase we are planning to use all of the funds for Christmas to help the others.
This is the main goal and to let people understand that there are good people in this world.

I have Instagram crypto page and i would like to help in this mission. Can you give me some directions what post and story should i post (like picture, text, any charities maybe, etc.)?
Hey there jekotb. I'm not sure how an Instagram page could help but probably announcing what's on the first post could be and using the charity address to donate to, I think that could be it. Maybe marketing as much as it can to receive donations would be good for the project.

Estimated, the funds will be more or less Php16,000. I don't know if there are anybody else here would like to help, besides not everyone is open here, they might rather donate personally to some Charity by themselves.

The last activity I did was for orphaned children and they are so fun to be with. Homeless people could be the next one. I appreciate your opinion, Lucius. It's an awesome say.

I understand your point with those farmers because they have the capacity to earn while the orphaned and homeless people do not. So that's why it's hard for me to really decide because the farmers would be easy to donate to with those organizations but it's better when you are actually doing the good deed yourself, so, I'm still torn.

We only have less than 2 months to decide on what should be the Next Activity for this Charity, if I were to be asked, if we were going to help again orphaned children, then it should be a different orphanage,... And as for feeding or giving foods to the Homeless People, we should be willing to exercise a bit, what I mean is to search every public places that any homeless will get to stay just like the QUEZON MEMORIAL CIRCLE, LUNETA PARK, etc.

I hate to admit it but I will support Lucius statement.

Anyways, don't worry mate, I'm going to help you this time.

In my stead, I would like to spend my time giving some food on the streets randomly when I start seeing poor and homeless people. But I don't think it can be a good Idea, its simply like giving them fish for a day and not a solution to get a fish for everyday.
I like how you said that it's not the best solution for them but what could you really do right? If you had the capacity to help them even in just giving them food would mean a lot to them, so why not right? I'm just thinking of right now. I don't know what program would best suit the problems that homeless people have but I think they would appreciate the food right? I don't know how they would be able to get up if they are not picking themselves up.

Or, simply introduce crypto on a certain Barangay and later on conduct a community service 😂 Besides the fund is almost Php17, 000... I can't think of a better Idea than yours actually but still on what place do you plan to go for a specific group of farmers?
Introducing cryptocurrencies to some people would be quite hard and probably won't understand immediately, maybe because it's intangible? Sometimes practicality is what they are looking for.

For the group of farmers though, I'm not yet sure but it would be quite easy for me to donate the money and the organizations with that capacity would be the ones responsible for it. I don't know if that would be a good scenario for everyone.

but in my opinion, your idea to help farmers is maybe not the best what can be done with donations. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, but farmers have land, they produce food and in most cases, they are not hungry. I can not say how the average farmer living in the Philippines at the present time, it is certainly not easy for them.
Farmers in the Philippines don't get what they deserve. With all the importation from other countries and the rice tariffication law being acted upon, the price of the rice goes down, which is good for consumers but bad for the farmers, with all those supplies coming around and less would be given to them. Those who are rich keep getting richer and the ones who are doing most of the leg work are getting stomped upon. This is just my reason why I chose this kind of charity work but that's why I'm also asking for opinions with other members as well.

It may be better to focus on orphaned children, or homeless people and provide them at least some hope for the Christmas and New Year holidays. That's just my opinion, I support every action that will help someone, even in the smallest way.

I also sent a small donation: ~snip
Hey there Lucius, thanks! It doesn’t matter how small the donation, it’s the effort that counts. I know it’s not going to hurt us to give a little to those who needs it but certainly will help. As long as the donation wouldn’t let you feel regret, then that’s good to go.

I think you should've made a different thread with this. it's a bit off-topic here. in this forum you can only spread awareness about this issue. but you can't get that large funding to fix this issue from here.
I don’t think I should create another topic because what I’m proposing is another project for this program. I would be getting some help from the Bitcointalk Charity Program. All help are welcome.

To have a significant impact towards the problem would require a large fund, like you are suggesting. I know for sure that 1 BTC wouldn’t be enough to solve it, but in a small way, with these donations going on, it would definitely help people.

Remember, that it’s still significant no matter what amount you give to as long as you do it with full heart.

Hey there guys, bumping this thread. I just had a sudden realization on how lucky we are knowledgeable in some ways to discover this forum and to make money from it. It's a blessing to have, and I'm thankful for it.

So let's talk about a real problem that is currently happening for years now in the Philippines. Probably there are a lot of people who have seen this issue or may have done something, and I think it's time we could make a difference in some way. Christmas time is fast approaching, and I'm suggesting this to help the fellow Filipinos who need urgent help.

Let's talk about first what Rice Tariffication and what it has done to the Philippines

Quote
The Rice Tariffication Law titled “An Act liberalizing the importation, exportation, and trading of rice, lifting for the purpose the quantitative import restriction on rice, and for other purposes”

Basically, it's for the Philippines to comply with the international commitment with WTO (World Trade Organization) and target the possible problems that could happen in the future (Rice Shortage, Expensive Rice, etc.) [1]

Positive effects of this Law are

  • Lower Price for Consumers
  • Addressing the Rice Shortage
  • Lower inflation Rates
  • Supporting Rice farmers (they could export it to the world market, more possible consumers from another country)

This Negative Effect is what I want everyone to focus on, as the Bitcointalk Community, and evaluate what we could do.

  • No Assurance / Safety net for Filipino Farmers
  • More importation

There are more to this list, and it's all in this article

So knowing some part of it, what's the Big Problem that we are talking about?

  • The possible Over Supply could negatively impact the Local Farmers and it has [2]
  • Farmers are getting poorer and poorer

As a Bitcointalk Member and being a concerned citizen of the Earth. We wouldn't want other people to suffer. What could we do?

There are a couple of things to support the Filipino Farmers
[3]

  • Buy Locally (Wet markets, Online Markets that sell local products, etc.)
  • Don't be a cheapskate when buying (Practice fair trade)
  • Support Restaurants that use locally grown produce
  • Volunteer or Donate

I think the last part is the most applicable right now for us and how we could use the funds that we have collected. (Thank you to those who donated)

There are a couple of organizations that could accept donations towards improving the quality of life of the Filipino Farmers.[3]

  • MASIPAG (Magsasaka at Siyentipuko para sa Pag-unlad ng Agrikultura)
  • PAKISAMA (Pambansang Kilusan Ng Mga Samahang Magsasaka),
  • https://www.cropital.com/

With all listed above, I could try to contact them on how the process would go and how it could help the farmers.

Let me know guys if you agree with this. I hope everyone would agree and feel free to suggest that could help

In any case, I support this project and I think more people should get involved with any donation, no matter how small it was. I hope that we will see more people get help at least in a symbolic way, especially in the months to come.

I just added a Poll, for our Local Mod Dabs is really in need of help. Regarding his situation you can just ask him personally... Let's help him out, just like what he did to some children back then.

The funds wasn't mine,  and it wasn't just my decision, so I would like to ask your opinion. Thanks to all.

It's already been a while for this project, and sooner or later I'll be able to make an update for this once again for I'll be able to get something that could help me work on this.

As for now, gonna put this thread up on the list again,... Every bits of donations won't be wasted, I assure to all of you that it will reach the hands of those who needs it.

Website creation is put on hold due to my corrupted files. Will also work on some government permits to let us run as a valid charity (or might ask for some already running charities)

P.S.Suggestions are welcome, you can post here or message me on telegram @cabalism13

Edit: the list of donators and txid isn't updated, but I'll be working on it soon enough.
