since these are never in stock, where else is it safe to buy (besides marked up ebay/amazon)
Just shut down another auction TODAY on ebay from the same guy that has a stack of hacked accounts selling s9 for $1500.
Wants bitcoin payments.
About 7 buyers got in before I shut it down. Over $10000 of bitcoin if they paid.
EVERY WEEKEND since August. Scammer is making piles of money.
You think 1000 positive feedback is safe? Many hacked dormant accounts with 1000 positive feedback.
They even rolled on a non dormant account. I tried to log on as the hacked account's owner and sent a pile of emails, texts, and robocalls to myself trying to reset the
password. Seems to get the attention of the owner.
Also I would detect the crook and commit to buy the damn thing without paying. Then turn around and leave negative feedback
stating SCAM, HACKED ACCOUNT
I can't tell you how many asses I have saved.
That sucks man! I have heard of people getting scammed by other scammers in ebay. So what is the best way to order other than ebay? ..Alibaba?
well, technically, you cannot use bitcoin on ebay, so in this case due diligence is simple.
aliexpress is not without a fault, but mostly small negligence in packing the exact order.
i did not even bother reporting those (like part(s) missing on a single riser out of 10).
i was scammed on ebay, but it is a rarity and typically occurs on high volume items, like bargain turbotax or windows/office.
one time turbotax selling hacker sold 100-200 (I was one of those fooled) of them before people realized that there is no shipping.
Well, ebay had to eat the loss because you can file the non-shipping report. It takes a while, but they will refund you.
I think that in most cases you can buy miner off ebay (for $$) and be reasonably confident that it would work.
