The knockout artist is a slight underdog in this fight, likely due to his recent injury and the fact that, at 39 years old, age is not on his side in a sport like boxing. This is an exciting matchup and a strong candidate for Fight of the Year. Thanks to HE Turki for making this happen.

Looks like the odds have shifted, huh? Last time I checked, Beterbiev was the clear favorite, but now with this little injury news, things are changing. Hopefully, it won't hold him back from performing at his best, because this is probably the biggest fight of the year (at least in my opinion). I want to see both of them going all out, especially Beterbiev, who’s known for those KOs.

But if that injury slows him down, we know how smart Bivol is. He might just dance around, play it safe, and take the fight to the judges, which could end up in his favor. What do you think?

All of us are fully aware of Beterbiev and Bivol's divorce issues but we can only speculate because its hard to predict if the two that are going to battle in the ring are warriors with undefeated streaks, undefeated fighters who has gone through a lot of battles have strong mental preparation heading to the fight.
Honestly, sometimes I go for Beterbiev and sometimes Bivol because the fight could go either way, it really depends on who has the better strategy and who can implement that strategy well. I may end up not betting at all because the bout is very much even and you are lucky to bet who will ended up the winner of this match.

I don’t think Bivol will play it safe, as it might disappoint HE Turki, who organized this fight. Both fighters were portrayed as warriors in the promotional video, so I believe they will slug it out until the end, with the better man emerging victorious. The odds favor Bivol because he is younger than Beterbiev and possesses amazing speed and good footwork too.

Yeah, I do not think that either one of this fighters are going to play it safe, although there could be early rounds that they might want to feel each other's power. But after that, they will go and try to cut each other's head.

And as we can see in their promotion which is very huge as it is very good, both will have to slug it out and keep their reputation as a fighter. And everyone is watching this fight for sure, as we might see a lot of current and former boxers in the ring itself watching it live as this is one of the most anticipated fight as it has been years since we had a unification fight at light heavyweight.

Yes, in the original fight date, Beterbiev was the favorite, but now, coming from injuries, and Bivol being the active now, odd makers put him now as the favorite. But for maybe some of the boxing fans, still a 50/50 fight coming from a Beterbiev being a knockout artist, against the technical and volume puncher in Bivol. Yeah, it could be one of the biggest fight and could be a candidate for a fight of the year and both of them are not going to hold up any against each other. And if I'm not mistaken, in Yarde's fight, Beterbiev really started very slow and was at least not leading in the judges card. Until he went on for the kill and knockout Yarde, but he can't do it against Bivol and start slow because Bivol will take advantage of it and it's going to be very hard to overcome it going into the championship rounds.

I'm posting here because I saw this recommended on Facebook and didnt know about it until then. It's very interesting fight, knowing the records especially with both fighters being undefeated, but their records show clear differences when it comes to knockout percentages. Based on those stats, you'd definitely pick towards Beterbiev (Poll: I voted for Beterbiev KO). A 20-0 record with 20 KOs is scary for sure, but it's boxing anything can happen. For sure this wont be an easy fight for both fighters. My question is who is the underdog in this fight?

This is quite certainly a bad comedy hehehehehe. I reckon Beterbiev's manager should use an annoyance tactic where he will buy a ticket for Bivol's wife and also pay her to cheer for Beterbiev.
That’s a shady tactic if it’s true, but ganon talaga, in a big fight like this, both camps will do whatever they can to win, even if it means trying to distract the boxer’s focus.

In any case, I have another speculation on what might occur for this fight and what might be the ending. It might also be very much possible that because of the older age of Beterbiev and the injury on his knee, this might end with Beterbiev with a victory, however, this victory will be given to him by the judges which will be his first victory by decision.

Why do speculate this? Beterbiev might make it appear for the judges that his power punches to Bivol's body will be enough to give him the victory.

Honestly, I don’t see Beterbiev winning by decision. All his fights end in KOs, so if this one goes to decision, the edge won’t be in his favor, and I’d be surprised if he wins. To keep it simple, it’s either Beterbiev by KO or the other boxer by decision.

There are news articles that are being published that Bivol and his wife are going through a very difficult divorce. According to news articles, the wife is suing Bivol for verbal and physical abuse. She is also suing the father of Bivol for verbal abuse.

Does anyone speculate that the difficulty of this divorce might not be very good for Bivol's training and also his mental attitude for the unification of the light heavyweight championship? There are other boxing experts who from the beginning of this fight's announcement, have declared that this Beterbiev might win and give Bivol a very difficult fight.

https://x.com/CureBore/status/1840547351275950248

Its also difficult and ugly to look at because the ex-wife and, based on her reply on one twitter account, the children are also supporting Beterbiev for this fight, It seems the wrath is real for an ex-wife to say that because after they have shared something in the past and Bivol is going to pay for the settlement and on the children's decision to support Beterbiev, the wife must have brainwashed the kids from doing that; its their father and they should not have hatred to their father at this age

I also rooted for Beterbiev in this fight at first, but the injury that he sustained that made this fight postponed gave me second thoughts on my prediction.

This is a battle between Speed and Power. Beterbiev's record is very scary and if you are the one fighting him, if you don't have the courage, strength and willpower, you will be afraid because of his power punches. On the other hand, Bivol is the epitome of the division when it comes to speed. He's one of the most efficient out there in his division, he's the most athletic, fastest and the best when it comes to jabs. His throw-to-land jab ratio is at its peak and he's fast as well. I'm afraid, Beterbiev might be having a hard time landing those punches on him.

Anyway, one punch can change everything so let's watch the whole fight a few days from now. As for the underdog, based on Razed.com, Beterbiev is the underdog.

Everything is perfect heading to the fight, the buildup is long, the fighters are all ready and so are the boxing community I hope it will end up perfectly. many bettors, I'm sure, are still confused on who to bet even if the other fighter is the slight favorite the other fighter can still deliver.
So we all hope that this fight will end up as the fight of the year, and maybe we can see a rematch or a trilogy, and it depends on the outcome of this fight.

I agree, Turki doesn't care about the money, we all know how deep his pockets are, all he wanted to do and what he envision in boxing and any other sports is that these boxers are going to face the best, unlike the traditional way of building super fights wherein there is a lot of careful match making on the part of their promoter before having them face each other when the buildup is about to explode.

As for illegal streaming, it's seems to be the norm right now, I do not think that it will completely shut down this illegal streamers even if the price of PPV is lower that it used to be. $15.00 might be cheap, but still fans are going to look for free, no matter what.

I wonder what's the scenario in boxing if we don't have Turki, his highness is responsible to some of the biggest fights in boxing recently, what promoters and the boxing community doubt to happen, he makes it happen, it seems Saudi Arabia is the new Mecca in boxing.

He has success in pitting boxers of high calibers and what the boxing community really wants, it just so happened that Canelo is asking for unreasonable price to fight whoever Turki and the boxing community want, Boxing is in good hands as long as we have Turki matching the best fighters in the industry.
Only 5 days before the fight, and while waiting I'm watching both Bivol and Beterbiev previous fights and the more I watch these two fighters previous fights, the more I believe that this is going to be an epic fight.

They want to make Saudi the Mecca of boxing, and so he really pitting boxers of high caliber against each other and as boxing fans, that's want we wanted to see.

For those who wanted to watch the ESPN Special Beterbiev vs Bivol. Both camps talking about this big fights and maybe you can get a glimpse of what the strategy of this boxers and so it might help you bet on this fight.

Also, I read that the PPV for this fight is quite cheap at just $15 U.S. | £19 U.K.?

Originally expected to be priced higher due to the scale of the event, the PPV is now set at $15 in the U.S. (for the undercard) and around £19.99 in the UK on platforms like DAZN and Sky Sports. His Excellency Turki Alalshikh wants to revolutionize the boxing landscape, and the latest of his ploys includes slashing the PPV prices. He did it first with Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois, and Beterbiev vs. Bivol has followed suit.

It’s still a convoluted situation in the US where different portions of the event will air on different platforms. The prelims should be on YouTube. The undercard is on DAZN PPV and the main event is on ESPN+. Now that Shakur Stevenson is injured, I’m not sure if the undercard is still on PPV or on regular DAZN, where a monthly subscription is actually more expensive than buying a $15 PPV. It is much more convenient to just find an unofficial stream and avoid the hassle and extra fees.

It will really be a big test for Bivol, and remember that this fight is originally to be settled in June 1. And so I'm not sure if the divorced has been filed already during that time or if they are still very much at each other. So in any case, Bivol is already on this fight since the last half of the year. Despite the divorced, as you have said, he has the eye of the tiger and only focused to defeat Beterbiev and might go against Canelo if he wins and becomes the undisputed. Pay per view's usually aren't that much in the UK anyway (unless it's a Fury or AJ fight and even then they're usually only 20-30 gbp). It's just the US markets that charge ludicrous sums. Turki doesn't really care about making a profit anyway and his fights always lose vast sums of money. I respect him for not trying to overcharge and his mission to try get people to cough up for the fights rather than them illegally streaming it but it's a futile quest. The people who illegally stream them aren't going to cough up the full price when they can get a yearly iptv subscription for about double the price.

Its a big test for both fighters, Bivol on his divorce settlement and Beterbiev on his injury. Beterbiev's body must be fully prepared because even if the mind is willing, if the body cannot, then he cannot force his body to react based on what he wants it to do he is injury laden and might have overextend his body. Remember, in boxing and in any contact sports, the body is the first one to give up.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh did great in lowering the price because it will generate a lot of interest in the boxing community in the future to watch boxing even if the boxers are not that prominent, With the lowered prices on this fight and the coming fight, people will not decline to watch a fight because of the stiff price.

There are other boxing experts who from the beginning of this fight's announcement, they have declared that this Beterbiev might win and give Bivol a very difficult fight.
If I'm not mistaken, Ryan Garcia was also going to a lot when he fought Haney, same with Bivol he has a bittered split with his former wife. So it might or not might not affect his elite fighters as they are really focus on the fight itself, in my opinion. Their is nothing that can get between them and the success that they want to accomplished in the ring.

You might be right. It might also give Bivol the eye of the tiger for this fight very much similar to how the divorce of King Ry has given him the eye of the tiger for the fight because Devin Haney.

OK, so the ex-wife drama is a real thing. I thought it was fake at first, but there is some press coverage already:
What an utterly bitter c*nt she is. Publicly cheering for a father of her children to be beaten up by other guy just to get back at him for allegedly not paying her enough alimony.

Anybody knows when did they got divorced? Was it a long time ago ar is it a fresh thing? Things like that can really affect fighter's mentality and therefore the result of a fight.
Bivol did the right thing divorcing this woman and I don't think she can ever find the right guy the way she behaves, I can say that she is a traitor for divulging this; she can be charged for this because no one should divulge any medical records of any person.
Bivol can bring this evidence in court for potential damages if he loses the fight, I think her lawyer should advise her to shut up to avoid future cases.

It's obvious that she reveal everything because she is hurt. In any case, since this is already in the court and for sure they have divorce lawyers to handle it, maybe this could be used as a evidence and could damage the wife with this personal information that she said in public.

And most likely she wanted to destroy Bivol as all cost, that's why she did what she needed to. But it's up to Beterbiev though, I mean without that insider information, Beterbiev as a underdog, will have to come up with a plan to win and continue his streak knocking out Bivol.

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!

A woman who leaves her husband out of her own initiative, usually won't feel a need to attack her ex etc.

There should still be respect, and whatever secrets exist within the marriage should remain private. The reason this topic is even discussed is because it could mentally affect Bivol in his upcoming fight, and for bettors, this could be seen as a weakness, creating more value in betting on Beterbiev. However, the focus shouldn’t be on the divorce case but rather on their training and how they’ll deliver an entertaining fight.
