Canelo has been thru many weight divisions in his career and now he will go up again and face another title holder though he isn't popular isn't he?
Anyway, Canelo as usual is the pick to win in this fight but there is still a chance for Bivol to win (quite low though maybe around 1-5%).

I think Bivol is the champion, 5% is very low here considering that Canelo is moving up in weight and he might not be able to carry his power with him, or he might slow down. I think Canelo will win but I would not underestimate his opponent who is a champion.

Bivol is the current champion of the light-heavyweight division that's why Canelo is now again moving across division to snatch that title from him. Even if we say that Bivol has a 20% chance to defeat Canelo, it won't be enough because he's nowhere near Canelo's league and Canelo isn't called a Pound-for-Pound king for nothing.

As usual, Canelo will start slow to observe his opponent first before making a plan of attack.

This will be a very good fight to watch out for as this will be a toe-to-toe fight.
Canelo is one of the popular boxers of this generation, so people are following his journey in this boxing.
As he moves to this new weight division, can he prove that he can walk the path of the likes of Pacquiao?
I believe if you bet here on this match, your money will not be wasted even if you lose because these boxers won't waste your money.
They will put a good fight inside the ring and every round is worth to watch...

I believe, Canelo knows what is at stake here. Because going up the weight division is indeed a risk for him as he may not be comfortable with the added weight. But he will feel that uneasiness during his training, and he may look for strategies how to adjust inside the ring. But even here, the poll is all in for Canelo. No one is betting on Bivol here? Are we going to see the Canelo vs GGG again? Hopefully, this year. Because GGG is nearing his retirement age.

From what I have read, if Canelo wins this match, and GGG beats his opponent, we have a good chance of seeing a Canelo vs GGG trilogy. If that would happen and GGG loses, I'm sure he will think of retiring from boxing but the fans will always remember him because he is one of the great boxers in his generation.

He probably has the best team of experts that his money can buy so I do not think he is going to have any trouble moving up a division at all.

That being said his rival is not going to be easy, after all Bivol is still undefeated and this is going to be the first fight of Canelo in the division, however despite all of this the circumstances are in favor of Canelo, he is in his prime so it is easy for him to deal with the increase in his weight and without a doubt he is the best boxer pound for pound at the moment, so I think he can win this fight, even if I do not think it is going to be as easy as the poll indicates.

I don't think Canelo will have problems with the weight, he has a really heavy punch to know out any contender and that's what we will see in this fight.

My bet will be for Canelo, without a doubt this will be one of those easy money bets.

Yes, by now Canelo is used in moving through different divisions and while making name so I also don't think that he will have some serious struggles or problems moving now, maybe just a slight because he is now adding some more weight before the weigh-in. Nonetheless, he still have 2 long months to prepare about this fight and there's really no need for us to worry about him because we already know the chances.

Beterbiev is a better fighter than Bivol it may look like a cherry-pick fight in terms of experience and style Canelo is miles ahead against Bivol he has a good record but he is flatfooted something Canelo wants, he doesn't like fighters who dance away and refuse to engage because he'll have a hard time catching them like what Floyd did to him, it will be a knock out win for Canelo.

Beterbiev is the man to avoid, he is dangerous. Maybe they save the best for Canelo's loss.  Bivol and Alvarez is a fair match, there is even a chance for Bivol to win against Alvarez.  Talking about TrippleG, seem more a cherry-pick because he's already old, he can box but the age deteriorates everything when a boxer is close to 40. He is not the same as he used to.

But I think Canelo can beat Beterviev too, but then again, it's better to face Bivol because Canelo's chances of winning multiply because Bivol is not that technically sound. His only weapon is his power, but Canelo is known to have a great movement so it's hard to hit him. And even if Bivol get a shot, Canelo has a very tough and durable chin. Let's discuss GGG if both of them win against their foe first.

Good point. Canelo knows his advantages, and he's a good observer. Once he saw open opportunities, he will go for it and finished his opponent. Alvarez is so smart once he steps inside the ring. If that same intellectual knowledge will dominate, he can beat Bivol, a possible

Let see if what will be the outcome of this upcoming fight and see if Alvarez will win this and then we will open that discussions
regarding to possible trilogy against GGG.

Watched Bivol's highlights on Youtube and he is an offensive boxer but I don't think he can defeat Canelo. Canelo will just turn into a defensive boxer and do counter punching until it turn upside down then he will go offensive. Well, a trilogy of the GGG Vs. Canelo fight and I'm pretty sure GGG really wants to get his revenge against Canelo since he gave him his first defeat.

As a rule, Saul Carnero Alvarez's rivals receive the highest fees of their entire career.  This fight is no exception.  The fees will be very high.

However, for Dmitry Divol, these are not only huge fees.  Fighting such a strong opponent is very honorable.

For Alvarez, this fight will not be easy.  He will have to gain body weight and drink a lot of protein shakes.  This can negatively affect his agility and mobility.

However, given his experience and professionalism, I think that Carnero Alvarez will beat Dmitry Divol in the fight.

Canelo is both an aggressive and intelligent fighter. We've seen him playing his opponent like a kid. Yes, he can beat Bivol, the odds are very much high which @coin-investor pointed out so if Bivol will just hold his ground, it's Canelo's favor. It's likely the result because Bivol does that all the time, engage in the middle and it will be his fall.

Canelo vs GGG III is just hyped, there will be 4th if GG wins but I doubt he will. So we'll have to see how he fights Murata soon and by then we can see if he really has the chance against Canelo. If not, Canelo vs GGG 3 will only be because of money.

Of all Canelo's fights, this is one worth watching because he will face a fighter who stands toe to toe, who likes to engage and rely on his power if this guy is powerful and can stand big punch we'll have a good fight it's too late for Bivol to do or learn a Mayweather the only fighter who has beaten Canelo, so I expect a slugfest here a far cry from what we saw in Canelo's fight, I'll give Bivol a better chance than all the other light heavyweight, but I expect Canelo will come out the winner.

It's official, one the most anticipated match this year has been confirmed. Canelo Alvarez will fight Dmitry Bivol on May 7. And not only that, if by chance he won against Bivol, Canelo will be facing GGG next (assuming GGG wins his fight with Murata).

BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the Mexican superstar has agreed to a lucrative two-fight deal with the streaming service that once signed him to a 10-fight contract that could’ve been worth $365 million. The undisputed super middleweight champion will box unbeaten WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol on May 7 and then, if the favored fighter beats Bivol, he will finally face rival Gennadiy Golovkin a third time September 17.

This is great news, there were rumors that Canelo was going to move to the cruiserweight division, however all kind of trouble appeared before he could have a chance to fight for a title, so it seems that at least for now he has scratched the idea, and if that is the case then we are going to see Canelo fighting GGG for a trilogy that we all wanted and that at the same time many people thought that it was not possible to see anymore, so I'm happy that they are listening to the fans and giving us what we want.

First of all, I was surprised when reading the OP message saying "And not only that, if by chance he won against Bivol" if by chance? Is there something that I am missing based on Canelo's record and the experience he had so far after losing to Floyd Mayweather through a majority decision

Looks like I gonna choose Canelo to win this fight since this is only like his past fights where you thought he might get some serious challenge but in reality, he will just gonna beat his opponent with no problem. That would be another exciting match since his opponent here is known to be a strong fighter and has no losses, looks like this is a great challenge for him as well because he is putting his clean record on the table fighting one of the current great boxers in this era.

We all going to choose Canelo, it's not that Bivol is a weak fighter it's just Canelo is a very superior fighter and he is on top of the pound for pound boxer now and he is on a trail to establishing his legacy, I don't think Bivol has what it takes to stop him, only Golovkin stand a chance to stop him and they have a chance to meet again after they beat their respective opponents.
Bivol is undefeated, I like him but for this fight, Canelo is my selected winner and about Gennadiy Golovkin being his tough opponent, let's wait and see what will happen after all he's going to be next after Canelo face Bivol.

Comparing these two boxer, Canelo is indeed the superior than Dmitry Bivol. Canelo have all the advantage needed to beat Bivol as of record, experience, capabilities, and KO rate. Bivol is an undefeated but that won't matter because Canelo have closed his mind to carve his own legacy in the industry.

If you're going to bet then Canelo is a much more safer bet rather than Dmitry Bivol.

He's fast and with power punch but I'm not impressed I checked highlights of his fights on Youtube heavier version of Plant and we have seen how Canelo beat Plant methodically that's likely going to happen here against Bivol because from what I saw he is not good defensively, to beat Canelo you have to be good defensively like Mayweather.
Canelo will surely find a way to beat Bivol, he already fought a lot of champions and he always wins, except on Mayweather's fight. Canelo being a slow starter is his best strategy to study how to beat his opponent, so whoever will be his opponent at the current stage, I think Canelo is still hard to beat.

I'm not familiar with Dmitry Bivol, I will also check some of his fight highlights and see if he can stand until 12 rounds against Canelo.

Certainly, Canelo is an undisputed boxer who holds a four major belts and that is quite hard to get of you're just a decent boxer. Also, Canelo's experience are out of league compared to Dmitry Bivol.

Bivol may be undefeated and feared by other boxers but unfortunately this time, I have no doubts that Canelo will just put a stain to his undefeated record.
