If you think that GGG will win this fight then you have a chance to quadruple your money as the ML odds for this fight had it @4.6 for GGG while @1.16 for Canelo. The bookies think opposite the as they are putting Canelo as the heavy favorite due to age and performance I think. GGG's win against Murata wasn't impressive at least for me while Canelo was putting a typical Canelo show only that Bivol is the better, bigger, and smart fighter that night so he lost but against GGG, no doubt he will win (just my thought).

I saw some of the sportsbooks having odds of +550 for Golovkin. Unbelievable, right? If Golovkin pulls this one off, then there will be a lot of shock and awe among the gambling circles. IMO, fair odds would have been -300 for Canelo and +250 for Golovkin. Anything higher or lower will be over-rating or under-rating these two boxers. We have one week to go, and I am still confused whether I should increase my betting amount. Placed a small bet in favor of GGG, and that was only because the odds being so attractive for him.
When it comes to the odds the popularity of the fighters themselves will affect them to an incredible degree, while Golovkin is a great fighter we also know that the popularity of Canelo is many times higher than his.

So people are putting their bets in favor of Canelo and the casinos are trying their best to encourage gamblers to put a bet for Golovkin, and this is why we are seeing such good odds for a bet in his favor, so if you really think that he can win this fight then it makes all the sense of the world to place a bet and obtain some important profits if he happens to pull an upset here.

There is no doubt in my mind that Golovkin will be able to win this fight. I am referring to this particular fight. As a matter of fact, I am expecting him to retire after this fight. If he does not, I think he will try to take on fights that are easier. It's hard to believe that Triple G is so old right now. He is already 40 years old. As a matter of fact, I think that it is just a matter of time before his body gives up on him. So I think he should leave when he is still at the top.

As I understand it, if he wins, I don't think he's going to give Canelo another chance Smiley. There is no doubt that triple G is the favorite in this match.

Attractive odds indeed for GGG, specially for those who wanted a live underdog. And based on the results of the votes, boxing fans wanted GGG to win. I personally haven't bet yet, and I might look for the round range, or maybe going to the distance, we will see.

As for next path that each one will take, for sure, their careers, will continue. But definitely they wanted to end their trilogy and move on.

Vaccinized.. immunity level is full.
It's the 3rd fight, so if there's another fight, it will be the 4th. If that will happen, then it's okay because these two are great fighters and they can give real entertainment unlike other chances who are boring to watch as they just want to score and run, this one they do a toe to toe fight, that's why the fans are asking for this fight.

If Golovkin wins this fight, then he may decide to retire. Even if he decides otherwise, I don't think that he will agree to another fight with Canelo. He has repeatedly claimed that he was robbed of wins not once, but twice. So why should he give an opportunity to Canelo, to get even? But then, there will be a lot of ifs and buts. Given the asymmetrical betting odds, no one in their right mind would think that Golovkin is a favorite to win this match. As I mentioned earlier, I have placed a small bet in favor of GGG. I think this third fight will be pretty close unless a knockout happens.  This is the third time Canelo and GGG face each other so I believe both boxers is familiar with each other's style and tactics.  If GGG doesn't show a sign of boxing skill deterioration due to aging and Canelo doesn't improve and show his previous performance, I think GGG will have a better chance of winning this fight (assuming judges will be fair this time)

As for Canelo, if he shows more of his dominance in the ring, more hits, more punches, and more power punches connecting, then the judges will not have a second thought about giving him the win. Of course, a knockout will clearly say it all.  Anyone winning with KO will surely shut down all the doubt and talks of the unbelievers.

You know, Canelo vs GGG is better than Canelo vs Bivol IMO, so I'd rather see the same boxer fighting than GGG vs Bivol or Canelo vs Bivol when the outcome still favors Bivol.

Well, Bivol stated that he is open to a Canelo rematch but it is the fight against Beterbiev he wanted.  Probably Bivol thinks that he can gain nothing if he has a rematch against Canelo, so he is aiming for an undisputed clash against Artur Beterbiev [1]
So Canelo will be trying to find a way to get this fight, but Bivol could very well ignore him.

That depends if he think fighting Canelo is not gonna generate a lot of money, but still, we cannot deny that Canelo generates good PPV numbers and people are still watching him, so I don't think that losing against GGG is going to ruined his career, he can always come back, especially if he will beat Bivol on their rematch.

Canelo - Bivol II is still possible since Bivol is open for negotiation, if the negotiation goes well then we can probably see a rematch between the two, but I think Beterbiev - Bivol will generate more money than the said possible rematch because these analysts even say that the upcoming Ramirez - Bivol is way better than the previous match Bivol - Canelo. [2]

especially if he will beat Bivol on their rematch.

I think Bivol is too much for Canelo, you had already witnessed it in their first match.

Canelo can pursue that fight but he is already at the back of a long queue and that means he will have to wait longer (and that also means that Canelo is quite older that time already) because Bivol is quite busy these days for preparing himself for a title defense fight against the former super-middleweight champion, Zurdo Ramirez.

And if by chance Bivol will be successful in that defense, next in line is an undisputed fight against Artur Beterbiev (if the latter will be successful in his title defense too) which holds the three remaining belts in light-heavyweight division and maybe there's a rematch clause for that too knowing Bob Arum would really do that extent because that means money. So, can Canelo wait for that long?

So both can still continue despite losing this fight although it is very important for each one to win and sell the rivalry that it take years for Canelo to accept the 3rd fight.

There's already a plan that both Canelo and GGG will do regardless of the result of this fight. If Canelo will win this trilogy, we can't conclude now that there will be no 4th meetup. On the other hand, if GGG won this fight, there might be a 4th meetup but that will take a lot of time again to materialize or maybe won't happen.

For now, let's watch how this fight will end up and see if a 4th meetup is possible whatever the results.

It's just about a week of waiting and the trilogy will now take place.

I believe you because we have seen those 2 previous fights and both fighters are not willing to run. Both are good at trying to box one another and try to KO their opponents. I like to see GGG to be more aggressive here and not to allow the judges to rob him again, if possible that he can bring Canelo down that will add more entertainment though we all know that both have a strong chin and only a mistake will put anyone to a good edge to throw solid conversions.

But even then, I am not being much optimistic.

It will be Canelo now that will try to convince for another rematch since GGG will hold the Belts, we don't know what will be the plan but maybe that's possible for GGG to retire without giving Canelo any chance for another fight and maybe it's possible that they will have another fight to grab more money from the viewers, fans and gamblers.

I'm pretty sure GGG won't retire if he wins the fight against Canelo. There's even a fight waiting for him now after the Canelo fight. Besides, if GGG won, he will think he can still fight as he beats a prime Canelo therefore, he can beat those boxers below Canelo's level.

What matters for him might be, just beating Canelo no matter what to finally end the story between them and move forward regardless if he will retire or not. It will be hard though as I said, Canelo is currently in his best shape at this division.

A  boxer's career is good as his record.  If Canelo losses to GGG in this coming fight, it will greatly affect the future  hype and interest on the fight of Canelo.  It would be not good if Canelo suffers a back to back losses and it will surely affect his career.

I think if ever GGG wins on this fight, it would be interesting to watch another rematch to seal the rivalry.

Another "rematch"? I don't think that there will be any rematch, irrespective of the outcome. Even if by some miracle Canelo loses this fight, I don't think that he will be interested in another bout with Golovkin. He can always claim that now the score is 1-1-1 (although many of us don't agree with the scorecard from the previous two fights). In case Canelo is able to win, then there is simply no question of a rematch. The last thing I want is a controversial decision from the judges. If the fight is close and the judges show bias to either one of the boxers, then this debate will go on forever.
Yeah, I don't think a 3rd fight is needed if ever GGG win in this fight. But it will be interesting how the career of Canelo will go. For sure he might fight Bivol again in  the rematch.

These both fighter are good and it's worth our time if we see them fighting inside the ring because we all know that every punches they throw make the fight more intense and interesting to watch. There are few boxer who will fight a. Toe to toe battle punch after  punches. Because some fighters right now are after hitting their opponents they going to step backward which is cause the fight boring. The fans want a good fight like these fighters did.

For campaign management look for Little Mouse!
He cannot take the punches to the body anymore and who has more destructive punches on the body than Canelo?
Canelo is definitely more destructive, but GGG were able to accept that punches in the last 2 figts, so if he can't accept it now, then you are right, he might be old already for Canelo, which means he has to announce his retirement after this.

I speculated that GGG might make this very competitive when this thread was created. However, after more research, I predict that Canelo's punches to the body will knockout GGG and medics will take him out on a stretcher hehehehe.
MOst of us here believe that GGG will win, that's what the poll suggests, but maybe you are right though, so let's see.

Oh, I missed this ^^ but I don't our vote here would translate to money where the odds would be almost even because at the end of the day Canelo would still be the heavy favorite to win this match at the bookies.

I think everyone knows here that Canelo really has the upper edge in this fight against GGG but still hoping that the latter will the fight. I'm siding with GGG her also and want to put some money on him not because I'm his fan but rather just want to see Canelo losing again.

For me, Canelo losing this match will fuel him more to be a better fighter. If he was beaten by an old GGG, that will be disrespectful to him. That will turn him into a much more serious boxer and will do his best to rise up. He is still young and has lots of time to climb to the top.
By the looks of its odds, the Stake agrees to this consensus. Betting for Alvarez, Saul By KO 2.80, seem enough reason to bet for him.

Before I watched the replay of GGG versus the young Japanese fighter Ryota Murata, I would not agree with you. However, watch the replay. Murata was doing body punches on GGG and he makes a face that makes it appear that he was very uncomfortable. This might be because GGG is an old man already. He cannot take the punches to the body anymore and who has more destructive punches on the body than Canelo?

Canelo is a serious fighter. He won the previous fight and he is younger. The votes are just votes, it's what they do in the ring that counts. Obviously, Canelo has more power over GG when it comes to advantages.

Alvarez, Saul 1.17
Golovkin, Gennady 4.90

The moneyline odds are not really interesting if you are to bet for Canelo, the favorite and probably the winner in this match. But if you are believing that GGG could pull this off in whatever way, 4.90 is really nice odds to bet with.

And although the odds are almost saying that Golovkin doesn't stand a chance in this fight, I don't think so. It is going to be very hard for him of course but he's got the chance. He could actually upset Canelo.
