Then he has to make sure that he can knockout Canelo so there be no more unfair scoring from the judges. The fight is going to be exciting, this is the last chance of GGG to prove that he really is the better fighter like he believe because if he still lose by the judges scorecards, then I think there's no bias in the last 2 fights.

Nothing to argue. If GGG still loses this fight or if somehow another draw happened, he will be retiring his belt with a loss from Canelo. It's good to see him more aggressive in terms of knocking Canelo down for a better score card. The two past fight gives Canelo edge, though the very first one was a draw and the second one was scored in favor of Alvarez.

We don't know how these fights will end, but fans are waiting for these two heavyweights to exchange solid punches.

Both are good in terms of accepting a solid combo and remain standing. Better luck takers..

That's the best thing to do, retire if he fails again because people will still remember him as a great fighter. Nothing to prove anymore, he already did everything but it's just that Canelo has youth over him and that is his advantage.

I think GGG will still have one fight in his arsenal if ever he will lose to Canelo in the trilogy and maybe that's it. And if the fight goes to distance and another controversy, we might again see another fight. But if Canelo wins in a decisive and resounding way, it's going to be over, Canelo closing the books in their rivalry. So this is very important fight for either of them and we are very exciting to see this fight.

I like how GGG is so cool, it doesn't change anything though because the real battle is in the ring. What we have to expect is that both fighters will give us a good fight and a clean fight because they respected each other. I hope Canelo will not underestimate GGG as he might experience his two straight loss if he will get too complacent.

GGG has always been cool in all of his fights between the two he is the more professional one, it's quite surprising that Canelo is acting like he has something personal against GGG, well we cannot blame him he is coming from a loss and he cannot afford to lose again, he will slip down further, it's his task to beat GGG convincingly this time and GGG's job is to spoil his comeback trail

Easier said than done. It is almost impossible to KO Canelo, knowing how powerful he is. On top of that, don't forget the fact that Golovkin is now 40 years old. He is no longer the GGG who had the upper hand in the first fight of 2017. At this point, to put is simply, it is not realistic to expect Golovkin to KO Canelo in the ring. In case GGG wins the trilogy fight, then it will be based on points. I know that the jury will be biased, but then the chances of Golovkin getting a neutral score from them is much higher than him kicking Canelo out in the match.
Agree with what you say, because regardless of what this is very difficult to do.
Age is a natural problem because it can reduce in any way including strength and speed.
we've seen some big fights like manny against ugas or indeed some time ago Donaire against Inoue. On average, with a fighter of this age, the results are predictable, even though they are indeed underdogs.

True. This is an old GGG moving up in weight against a prime Canelo. We should not forget that Canelo lost in his last fight because he moved up in weight. He is still undefeated and undisputed in super middleweight. Did Canelo even suffered even a single knockdown in his career? I guess no. When's the last time Canelo got seriously wobbled? Probably against Jose Cotto when he was still a boy? I say there's a big chance Canelo is the one stopping GGG this time.

That would be a big win from him if he could really stop GGG.

Their last two fights are controversial because GGG still believes that the judging was unfair and he does not believe he lose in that fight. By saying stopping, are you referring to Canelo knocking out GGG? If that's what you meant, then we will surely have a very entertaining fight.

But the outcome of this fight will never justify the previous 2 fights. First fight was a clear GGG. Second fight was close and could go either way. And Canelo fought GGG when he was already 35 and 36. Hardcore fight fans should remember when Canelo surrendered his WBC middleweight belt because he don't want to fight GGG. Canelo was subjected to mockery at that time. Imagine surrendering your belt without a fight? That's not Mexican. That is why some Mexicans until now hated Canelo and are calling him a coward.

GGG was avoided during his prime years. Remember the first time he fought for the championship? He fought for the interim WBA champion belt first because then German superstar Felix Sturm avoided him at all cost.

I like the way GGG is smiling to Canelo even Canelo is so serious during the staredown, this looks like GGG is already prepared anything and not afraid fighting with Canelo for the third times. It's funny how GGG switch from thumb up hand poses to boxer poses, he probably forgot this is boxing event lol. Not really sure why Canelo look so serious to GGG, perhaps this is because he lose against Bivol.

LOL.. the picture just tells us who will be in a lot of pressure and who will be the one in a relaxed mood. A lot of expectation on Canelo and a lot of people are arguing that he refused the trilogy fight previously because he was afraid of GGG. The biased scorecard adds further to the controversy. Betting odds are also heavily favoring Canelo. A loss to Golovkin will be disastrous not just for his career, but for his finances as well. On the other hand, Golovkin is smiling because he is earning tens of millions of USD, when he is quite close to retirement. He has nothing to lose.

Let me rephrase, The staredown looks really intense when we look at Canelo. Not so much when we look at his opponent though. And I hope that Canelo doesn't get buried under the heavy weight of expectations from him. I am also going to favor Canelo, to be honest. Because he looks to be more serious about this fight compared to his opponent. And I appreciate someone who takes things seriously. But I can also tell you that even though GGG looks really relaxed he is not going to take this fight as a joke. This fight is not going to make the career of Canelo so much as it can break GGG's career.

Then he has to make sure that he can knockout Canelo so there be no more unfair scoring from the judges. I think that Golovkin is just happy that even at 40 years of age he is getting paid really well. I also agree that his skills are not as sharp as they used to be 4 years ago. So, it is going to be really hard for him to knock out his opponent Canelo but I will say that it is not going to be impossible.

But, I think the more realistic thing for Golovkin is going to be dominating the whole match. But even after that I highly doubt that he is going to get the win that he will rightly deserve. Whatever happens, I think it is going to be an interesting match between these two. But I have to say just imagine Golovkin KO's Canelo. Canelo is going to end up being depressed after this match.

He already reached his limitation, he cannot challenge Bivol again, or other champions in a higher division, he just has to stay in a division where he reigns before he will retire, and winning this fight against GGG would be a good comeback from a bad defeat against Bivol.

One loss and already reached his limitation? He can come back again. He just needs to be fully prepared physically and mentally. I think he is too confident that's why he was being surprised by Bivol. Now that he knows how fighting Bivol is, he can ask for a rematch later in the future. But it's not simple as Bivol is chasing titles. Canelo should bring a title of his own first before he can face Bivol again. Bivol is fighting for titles and not to destroy popular names.

Winning against GGG is not a considered comeback too. GGG is old enough. Not any impact if Canelo wins here.

Well, if Canelo still thinks that he has a shot to defeat Bivol then he should try it and give a better performance this time but I don't think that Canelo was defeated because he was confident because I think we know him enough that he's not that kind of boxer and he usually starts slow to feel his opponents and make some calculations before trying some moves. The thing is he was really surprised and Bivol was a natural LHW while Canelo is not and that gives the champion an advantage because Bivol is more confident in his own division while Canelo is struggling into that added weights and his speed were really affected.

Yeah, GGG is always cool in this face off but you can see that he is not intimidated by Canelo. There is mutual respect but you can feel that there is really some hostility between the two. I'm just lost though, the 2 fights where contested in 160 right? GGG best weight, and then this time it will be 168 lbs? so it means this is Canelo's comfortable weight. So we might see the best version of Canelo here against GGG moving up in this weight class.

No personal enmity between the two. But that said, Golovkin has spoken to the media on multiple occasions about his displeasure regarding the scoring. He believe that the first fight was stolen from him, and the scoring for second one was also not fair. And he is further aggrieved by the fact that Canelo refused to fight him immediately after the second fight. GGG wanted a fight in 2019. Anyway, less than three months remain, and I am sure that this fight is going to be the most exciting one we have for the last 1-2 years.

That's easier said than done, we've seen their last two fights and there are instances where GGG is able to hit Canelo with some solid shots but Canelo is still standing. Both fighters can take the power of their respective punches so they can trade punches and that makes the fight more exciting. It's a trilogy (probably the last), so let's expect that they'll give everything they have especially GGG who is trying to win a fight.

Many people support Trilogy and they think Trilogy will win coz they are strong players and they have winning record for many times. They have a lot fans and A lot of bets are being made for them in many places. And if I bet for boxing then I will definitely bet for Trilogy. I am also fan of them and i support them too much.
Can someone translate this post to English for me?
It's easy to understand, this is a special boxing fight where 3 persons fight with each other on a single ring, the first boxer is Canelo, the second is GGG, and the third is Trilogy Roll Eyes

If he really want to beat Bivol, then he should choose the rematch than the trilogy with GGG. I think Canelo already realized that he cannot beat Bivol and I don't think he wasn't prepared in that fight, knowing him, he is a great fighter, it's just that he cannot break his power and speed in the heavier weight division.

I have not read much of the discussions of this thread and this is my first reply. Forgive me if this question has been asked before, however, does anyone speculate that Canelo might be accepting this fight very early after his loss vs. Bivol? GGG should not be very underestimated for this because it also appears that Bivol gave him the tactic to defeat Canelo. GGG also does not look like an old man in the ring with the wins after the loss to Canelo hehe.

Even prior to the Bivol fight, Canelo has already agreed to fight GGG anyway. And it just so happen that he lost to Bivol. But as I have said, this is already made so Canelo can't back up. I don't think it's early though. I mean this fight should have been made years go after the second fight. But Canelo didn't want to and he was like waiting for GGG to reach 40. Although GGG looks sharp against Murata. The blue print is already there, it's that Canelo's opponent seems to be mystified when they face him. Bivol didn't and uses all his physical advantages to beat Canelo. I don't think that GGG has any advantage though.

However, they were planning the trilogy vs. GGG having the assumption that Canelo would win against Bivol. Also having the assumption that Canelo will be having full of confidence. I am not very sure how Canelo feels today but there were pictures of him in a casino gambling and drunk after the loss. I speculate his mind might not be there 100% for this trilogy. Canelo will win, however, it might not be very easy as everyone expects.

Probably Canelo just wanted to have some fun and get out the lost out of his mind, but I don't think he is a gambler per se. But I do agree that they assumed that Canelo will win against Bivol, even Bivol says sorry for derailing all the plans. But after Canelo's lost, the fight with GGG will continue and I think Canelo is focused on this as we can see on the press conference video. Both seems to be very confident though. But I'm not going to bet this early, I will wait till the weigh-in.
