I like the way GGG is smiling to Canelo even Canelo is so serious during the staredown, this looks like GGG is already prepared anything and not afraid fighting with Canelo for the third times. It's funny how GGG switch from thumb up hand poses to boxer poses, he probably forgot this is boxing event lol. Not really sure why Canelo look so serious to GGG, perhaps this is because he lose against Bivol.
LOL.. the picture just tells us who will be in a lot of pressure and who will be the one in a relaxed mood. A lot of expectation on Canelo and a lot of people are arguing that he refused the trilogy fight previously because he was afraid of GGG. The biased scorecard adds further to the controversy. Betting odds are also heavily favoring Canelo. A loss to Golovkin will be disastrous not just for his career, but for his finances as well. On the other hand, Golovkin is smiling because he is earning tens of millions of USD, when he is quite close to retirement. He has nothing to lose.
Let me rephrase, The staredown looks really intense when we look at Canelo. Not so much when we look at his opponent though. And I hope that Canelo doesn't get buried under the heavy weight of expectations from him. I am also going to favor Canelo, to be honest. Because he looks to be more serious about this fight compared to his opponent. And I appreciate someone who takes things seriously. But I can also tell you that even though GGG looks really relaxed he is not going to take this fight as a joke. This fight is not going to make the career of Canelo so much as it can break GGG's career.
Then he has to make sure that he can knockout Canelo so there be no more unfair scoring from the judges. The fight is going to be exciting, this is the last chance of GGG to prove that he really is the better fighter like he believe because if he still lose by the judges scorecards, then I think there's no bias in the last 2 fights.
Easier said than done. It is almost impossible to KO Canelo, knowing how powerful he is. On top of that, don't forget the fact that Golovkin is now 40 years old. He is no longer the GGG who had the upper hand in the first fight of 2017. At this point, to put is simply, it is not realistic to expect Golovkin to KO Canelo in the ring. In case GGG wins the trilogy fight, then it will be based on points. I know that the jury will be biased, but then the chances of Golovkin getting a neutral score from them is much higher than him kicking Canelo out in the match.
I think that Golovkin is just happy that even at 40 years of age he is getting paid really well. I also agree that his skills are not as sharp as they used to be 4 years ago. So, it is going to be really hard for him to knock out his opponent Canelo but I will say that it is not going to be impossible.
But, I think the more realistic thing for Golovkin is going to be dominating the whole match. But even after that I highly doubt that he is going to get the win that he will rightly deserve. Whatever happens, I think it is going to be an interesting match between these two. But I have to say just imagine Golovkin KO's Canelo. Canelo is going to end up being depressed after this match.
