My own realizations to this is Spence and his advisors are not ready for Crawford. What would be the next move for Spence this will not come into fruition?

I think it's Crawford's camp that questioned the clarity of the contract that is supposed to be done now. They are the ones who requested a clear view of the terms that are not being clear by Spence's side. Even Crawford is building his legacy, never he will allow Spence's camp to just put some terms just in favor of them.

Anyhow, if this fight won't push through, I think both Crawford and Spence have Plan B. If I remember it right, they are vocal about who's their preferred target if this fight won't take place.

Spence and his promoter cannot provide and not willing to provide all the details in order to clarify them. They are delaying everything. Why not just tell Crawford the truth instead of playing tricky games.

I read a comment here Ennis is next for Spence. The kid has an amazing record and majority of his wins by knockouts. A fantastic test for Spence. Crawford can move forward to the next division maybe.

He may retire as undefeated as Mayweather but fans know which boxers are real champions. If you ask the fans who is the better fighter between Mayweather and Manny Pacman, I believe the majority of the fans will choose Manny to be the best boxer, he does not care for his record, he just wants to bring real entertain and fans appreciate that the reason why he is the people's champ.

I agree with that but that's in the other discussion when it comes to these two boxers because they are both undefeated and the chance to put a loss to those records is only if they decided to fight in the ring because the chance for the fight to be drawn is almost zero because these two are highly competitive when it comes to power punches like what we saw it the Inoue and Donaire fight part 2. one of them will go down in the early rounds either get KO or TKO.

By now it's obvious that the fight is off for this year. But it doesn't mean that they are not discussing it behind close doors. As the majority has said, maybe there is some point that they have agreed or disagreed. And even if they moved to 154 lbs, they are still bound to collide. So it's better that they do it next year at least and give us boxing fans to see who is the best although by odds Crawford might be the slight favorite.

However, I disagree that the delay is not about money, still it, they are trying to be Floyd, undefeated, but if this is not going to materialized, then they are robbing us fans.

Not only the fans but are robbing each other of the money, opportunity, and legacy, so many things are at stake here for both of their careers, we can move forward and check other great fights but for these two fighters they just robbed one another with what great boxers should have and they will go down in history as two boxers who are coward to take their career to another level, I think they both don't like the fight to push, afraid that their zero losses will go.

For me this fight is bound to happen, just like Floyd and Manny, but yeah, we could have our own speculation as who's side is bailing out on the scheduled for and going to wait till one of them are out of their prime or has been on a lot of war so they have been soften by other tough boxers.

So I would say that this year schedule of November or December is not happening.

But we should hope that by next year, they will have their own fight first and maybe after they win or lose talk again and see if the fight can be made by that time. But it's the question of if they are willing to stay for at least 2 fight in super welter? Because both are hinting to move up to 154 lbs and face the champion like Charlo.

I share the same view, this fight won't happen this year just like what they first forecasted it because in the first place, if they want to make the fight happen then both camps should've done the right thing and wouldn't make the discussion so long. Maybe it's time for Crawford to face another boxer while their discussion between Spence's camp is blurry.

Crawford might be the first one to fight in super welter because I heard Spence have his mandatory fight if this won't happen.

If only some entity can pressure this two to really fight this year, it will be very good for boxing fans. But so far, they are still in the negotiating table as far as I'm concern so the fight is also off for me.

Unless suddenly they change tune and schedule it before the end of the year. Anyhow, we have seen so many great fights already and some in the horizon and so let them fight other boxers for either their legacy and money involved. Only time can be the judge between these two.

The public is more powerful than any entity, and besides if they do not want this fight no powerful entity or even public clamor can do that unless all the boxing organizations will force them to do the fight but I doubt they will do that, we are in the second week of October and there's still no contract I'm not waiting for the announcement of the fight in November, I'm waiting for the announcement of the cancellation of the fight and the new date of the fight, this is more realistic that I can think of.

For sure, there are people who wanted to see this fight to happen, but in reality, if both fighters are not going to sign the
contract, there's nothing that fans can do.

I agree with your statement, known people and association will not go to that level in forcing whoever
from both fighters are not signing the contract, they will just let it go and move forward.

Knowing that they can still bring more interesting fights instead of disappointing the fans who wanted
to see Crawford and Spence.

Spence is obviously not looking for legacy whereas Crawford continues to hunt for more legacy under his name. It's sad that Crawford wasted a year on this garbage negotiation with Spence and PBC. Crawford is turning 36 next year and he still has work to do in order to achieve his dreams of conquering the super-welterweight divison and becoming a 4-division champion. He should not wait for duck Spence who only cares about his virgin record and money.

Is it really Spence or just his advisors that doesn't want him to fight Crawford? He should need to fight for legacy because that's how they are going to be judge when the retire.

Well, Mayweather may not have a good legacy as he have right now if he lost even just 1 match.
But, don't get me wrong, he's a great boxer. However, it seems like the allegations of him cherry picking his opponent to ensure a win, seems quite true, as he usually fought great boxer either past their prime or showing signs of vulnerability.

I think that's what Spence is trying to do now. He could've lost to Manny already. I can say he dodged a huge bullet right there. Currently, Crawford is still dangerous, so they'll never run out of reasons to delay this match up.

If the fight to push, they should agree to agree, if they keep looking for flaws in the contract they will find one, even the negligible ones in the contract, they have been in discussion for a long time and everything should be in one sitting but it keeps dragging, we have two unusual fighter in a usual situation, all they have to do is to agree to fight whatever the cost, both fighters think highly of themselves when everything should be settled in the ring, they should just make an adjustment on the rematch but let the first fight run its course, time is ticking they should made an announcement anytime now.

That was easier said than done. Even the boxing fans and community wants that fight to happen, if there's a part of the terms that are not clear, it does not make sense to continue the fight. It's not simple and easy for a party to just agree and agree and agree for the sake of the fans. The terms should be fair and balanced in all concerns.

Blame the party who ruined the possibility of this fight making it official as both boxers are just waiting for the proper settlement.

Let their legal team fix those issues as big fights like this are always associated with highly sensitive terms that need a serious approach.

I actually moved on from this fight a few weeks ago.

Yes, when we enter October and the fight is supposed to happen at end of November, and with no news around, we might as well move on.
Alright, I have to move on as well. Anyhow, there are many good fights to focus than this.

I can't wait for the next generation of welterweights. Ortiz, Stanionis, and Ennis deserved their title shots now and it's long overdue already. Let them mix it out together with former undisputed super-lightweight champion Josh Taylor, Keith Thurman, Radzhab Butaev, etc.

Keith Thurman will be a good test for him. I mean Keith used to be the main in 147 lbs until he gets hurt and lost to Pacquiao.
Keith Thurman changed after his long injury. These guys have fantastic boxing records. Is Josh Taylor making a move soon? Josh Taylor has a fight next month and it is not at welterweight.

The issue right now is that there is a demand for the fight from fans and yet they are not listening to it. Or at least their promoters or networks, there is money to be made so they have to sit down and talk.

They know the demand of the fans but it needs  both parties to agree before this fight is gonna happen. The thing is, whether they will delay this or not, fans will still watch this fight since both are champions, so the promoters are the ones dictating when they will make this happen.

I know everyone is excited, but as what we are seeing here, there's no formal announcement yet although it has been months before it was rumored, so can we still trust this would happen this year?

But we don't know the real score if it's Spence camps who's trying to avoid the fight or both of them
are not willing to risk both belts and records.

No one is avoiding the fight, that's for sure. It's just that there are problems and issues with the transparency of the supposed guaranteed payout as far as most news is concerned. Spence is a business guy and if the price is right, he will go against big fish without hesitation.

There's no also issue about risking their records and belts. That's a horrible excuse. But with these issues raised lately, fans are disappointed with what happened.

Sooner or later that 0 has to go, so either one of will lost that obviously when they face each other. Yeah, I think that is not the keyword, "avoiding". Maybe they are not in the same page as to the money split or what not. Both are willing to face each other and it's unavoidable when both of them become champion at 147, specially when Crawford move to 147 pounds.

However, I disagree that the delay is not about money, still it, they are trying to be Floyd, undefeated, but if this is not going to materialized, then they are robbing us fans.

Maybe yes and maybe there's other things that kept both camps to negotiate and close the deal. There are things that
still undecided or still not being cleared from both sides.

I see your point and maybe that's why Crawford on the earlier time said that he's willing to adjust with the amount of
potential profits, I mean he's willing to give Spence higher cut.

Still unclear if who's making the delay or maybe you are also right with your sentiment that both fighters don't want
to lose their winning records.

It is really unclear because we don't know anything about what could've been the reason why the fight has been further delayed, both camps are keeping the curtains close and we can't even feel that Crawford is giving some pressure to make the fight happen because he will be at the disadvantage if the fight keeps on moving behind the original schedule as time will not be on his side always. It's really hard to speculate when we don't know the correct details. Too bad if this fight won't really happen.

Yes, we are just waiting for a final update if there's already a confirmation if this fight will take place, as far as I understand
Crawford is vocally willing to adjust.

But we don't know the real score if it's Spence camps who's trying to avoid the fight or both of them
are not willing to risk both belts and records.

Too bad for most fans who are anticipating this possible fight as time goes by and the delay keeps on happening
possibly the interest will lessen, and fans and gamblers will be moving forward.

to lose their winning records.

We can only speculate but until there's an official announcement, we will never know who is the reason for the delay. However, based on what I read here, it seemed like majority of us believe that it was Spence who cause some delay, maybe because he chicken out already?

Yeah, it looks like it, the hype is slowly dying because we have not heard or read a confirmation from the promoters that this fight is going to happen this year. Also, both fighters have some issues regarding about the transparency of the proceeds, so most probably they have not agreed yet on the slice of the revenue, or their share.

Official announcement about the delay? Not sure if they are going to acknowledge as who is causing it but for sure if this fight is not going to happen, there will be a lot of finger pointing and no one will admit which one delay or not willing to sign the contract.

So it looks like everything is dead, maybe Spence chicken out, or Crawford not getting enough money.
