I’d love to see a source for that information because I searched to verify it, but I couldn’t find anything. From what I know, the first fight was canceled due to COVID-19, and since then, Casimero has been calling out Inoue repeatedly. However, Inoue hasn’t responded, which is why Casimero keeps labeling him as "scared."

Bob Arum gave Casimero the option of taking a reduced purse or he would move on to Jason Moloney.
https://www.badlefthook.com/2020/7/24/21337201/naoya-inoue-in-process-coming-united-states-casimero-fight-may-not-happen-boxing-news

Casimero's team did not accept the offer, they were probably thinking things would go back to normal soon and could get a much larger purse if they held out for a while. Despite trying to frame it as Inoue being scared, Sean Gibbons admitted that it was due to financial circumstances that they couldn’t reach an agreement.

Sean Gibbons, Casimero’s adviser, informed BoxingScene.com that it would’ve been difficult to put that bout back together from a financial standpoint until fans can attend in Las Vegas.

This was then, but now Inoue has the opportunity to fight Casimero, The rivalry generates a lot of interest that it will convert to good revenue for both promotions, Inoue never mentioned Casimero when things got back to normal; he always opted for other fighters, and now that he is moving out of the division, he is still not showing interest in Casimero.
Casimero is a kind of fighter that loves to despise and make fun of fighters, he was actually selling a fight to the public, Inoue should have taken it back then, and now Casimero is not selling a possible fight anymore but directly insulting him.

One of the reason I can think of is that Casimero can blow everything, If you remember Zolani Tete was doing great, he was undefeated and was one of the feared fighters, and he was soon to fight Inoue for unification until he takes on Casimero and knocks him out in the sixth round, Inoue is afraid that Casimero can do that to him because he is capable.

The fight with Inoue was already on the table multiple times after Casimero had already beaten Tete. The first time it got cancelled due to the Covid pandemic. When they tried to reschedule it without an audience, Casimero rejected the offer because without a live gate his purse would be much lower. ...

After that, we know Casimero had many issues that made him lose his title and the opportunity was given to Butler. It is up to Casimero to become a contender again and earn the opportunity for himself but he would rather be making ridiculous YouTube videos than taking his career seriously.

he doesn't offer anything on the table,

I think Casimero has more to offer than TJ Doheny... so that argument does not make sense to me, that's why we go back to my first reply, "Inoue is not interested in fighting him"....

I agree with you, bro, Besides Donaire whom Inoue beat, only Casimero is the three division world champion and never been beaten for seven years and never been knocked out that Inoue hasn't faced in his division so like you, I agree that Inoue doesn't want to fight Casimero.

Heheheheehh do you have a fever? This is a very headshaking argument to imply that Naoya Inoue is afraid to fight this Casimero who is not anymore worthy to be on the top of his division. Also, these boxers are very much similar to businessmen. If Casimero has something to offer on the negotiation table for Inoue to listen to his argument to fight him, I am certain Inoue will be quite excited to have an agreement with him.

Naoya Inoue has better boxers to fight and more money to be negotiated with others compared to Casimero and his promoter. I reckon Casimero might retire in 3 years and he might never become a champion again of the WBA, WBC, IBF or WBO in any division.

As far as Casimero, I think he could be in the hill of his career. However, if we go by the news that Inoue will go up in weight next year. Then, Casimero will have a chance as the 122 lbs are going to be open. And we all know that Casimero is a former WBO champion, and with that, he could be put ahead on the rankings and then maybe he will have to fight the number 1 rank boxer in that division.

Slight chance though, but if he is still has something to proved, then this fight is really big for him. The pressure is on his shoulder now to give us something, the brandish and boastful that we have known him by knocking out is opponent cold or putting them in queer street,  Grin.

Let’s just end it there.....Inoue is simply not interested in fighting him, period.

I am still not so sure if Inoue will be interested again. Casimero has been just a downhill for years now and unless he does something extremely impressive I don’t see Inoue’s camp even giving as much as a glance to Casimero.
If he KO’s his opponent, wouldn’t that be impressive?

Maybe Inoue never really intended to fight Casimero, even if Casimero racks up impressive wins, because from the start, he’s been avoiding the fight. If Inoue really wanted it, they should have pushed through back in the bantamweight division. Their first fight got canceled, so once things were back on track after the covid times, he should’ve realized the opportunity.

If he KO his opponent in early round then provably this will create a huge hype and Inoue will be called out. Casimero just need to get an impressive win since he if cannot score a Knock out against Sanchez provably that he cannot still get the fight against Inoue since provably that they will just ignore him. Many people would provably watch their fight since this end up the long drought of Casimero since finally we can see him again on fight again.

To bad that their first fight has been cancelled since provably we could see a good fight between them since both of them is on Prime. Now I don't think Casimero still in his prime we see him struggling for past fight and he need to improve his endurance since if he get tired easily then provably his opponent will take advantage on his weakness.

Inoue is no longer interested on him, he doesn't offer anything on the table, he is not a champion. Inoue even bypass Murodjon Akhmadaliev  former champion. As Bob Arum says that Inoue will have a one fight before the end of the year in Japan in December and it could be against Sam Goodman.

But after that, Inoue will be moving up in weight class next year, while Casimero continue to struggles at 122 lbs. Maybe this will change when he wins impressively. But still if he is thinking going after Inoue, forget it. He should be thinking of dominating the super bantamweight once Inoue goes up.

Yes, it will be very impressive of him if he will knockout Sanchez here, as I have said, we need something from Casimero so at least he will be still be as great boxer at 122 lbs and could be a champion.

Casimero’s fans seem to be really believing their own narrative though. They still think Inoue is just scared of Casimero hence why they never fought. If this kind of narrative comes up again after Casimero wins then Inoue might want to prove people wrong.

I’m a Casimero fan, so I might be a bit biased, but I honestly believe Inoue is scared of him. (Just trying to keep it real.)

They have a chance to fight before, but we all know what happens to Casimero then. And they both move up to 122 lbs, however, Casimero as we have said, seems to be very unlucky as his fight ended in controversial fashion.

And as reported, Inoue is moving up in weight next year, at featherweight and we might not have a chance to see him and Inoue fight in the ring as I doubt that Casimero can go to 126 lbs. Plus remember that Casimero is 35 years old already, age when fighters started to decline. IMHO.

I never realized that. I thought this fight was a main event because of the match poster on the OP. anyway, that is quite a drop for him. The guy really needs to prove himself if he wants Inoue's camp attention, right now he is nothing to them but a noise in the background wanting their attention.

Although we know Casimero is famous, unfortunately, his ranking in the super bantamweight division isn’t that great, so this won’t be a main event. We could call this another opportunity for him to get a solid win. As he mentioned, he believes he can knock out Sanchez, so let’s see how it goes.

But if he does manage to knock him out, do you think Inoue will finally agree to fight him, or will he avoid him again?

I do agree, it's because of the name of Casimero that's why this could be a main card. But regardless though, it could be the main card if Casimero is really winning in a very impressive way, but so far, at 122 lbs, he didn't give us the show that we wanted. And for sure, others might not have followed his career before at bantamweight when he is just destroying his opponent and become a world champion. And then we just caught up with him when his name pops up as the potential mega fight for Naoya when Casimero still has the WBO belt.

He will always says that he will knockout his opponent, but again, so far, his performance is way below that what we expect from a fighter like John Riel. He is a show off, and we love him for that. However, he will have to produce a knockout win here so that his career will continue and fans wanting more fights from him.
Casimero may have been away for a year but for him to come back to the ring means he has prepared himself over time. It means he has goals and ambitions in plan and even though his performance at 122 lbs was below what we expected  there is a possibility that he can he is opponent Sanchez. Mind you he is quite an impressive fighter even though he has a one year career break, his professional history is not that bad.

Also, I think it's okay to have a career break because only him and insiders know the crisis he was going through that prompted him to withdraw from the ring for a whole year. I also feel like they might make this game the main event because this is more like a champion coming back to redeem himself some people may pay attention to the game so I really feel Casimero can give an impressive performance on that day. Because this doesn't seem like a last fight for him he looks like he's coming back to the ring for a while so he's going to try to improve his performance. Also, backed up with his experience I think he'll try to knockout Sanchez so he can finally get a fight with Naoya.

It could be co-main event. However, I believed that the main card is the Hiroto Kyoguchi vs Vince Paras trilogy because of the impact of this fight. They will have to settle the score and so this is bigger than Casimero vs Sanchez fight.

But it's good that the Japanese promoter of Casimero was able to insert him whether main or co-main card here. And I will stay and watch that trilogy too, and hopefully Paras will win here.

I think the main event for this card is the fight between Casimero and Sanchez bro though this will only for ten rounds but Casimero is the main guy Treasure Boxing Promotion and base on the list (shown below) they are the last to fight.

So one of the undercards is the boxer that Casimero beat in one of his previous fights. Fillipus Nghitumbwa is tough since Casimero didn’t manage to knock him out, so this should be a solid undercard fight. Thanks for clarifying that this is the main event; it just needs some strong promotion to draw in more viewers. I guess "Angas" (Casimero) is popular in Japan, although he has more haters than fans.

I’m curious what the crowd’s reaction would be if he calls Inoue out again after the fight. What do you think their reaction would be?

Fillipus Nghitumbwa is on the undercard of Quadro Alas because he is also promoted by Treasure Boxing Promotion, just like Saul Sanchez. You’re right, Casimero has gained some popularity in Japan due to his bouts with Japanese fighters. Many Japanese fans are eager to see him face Naoya Inoue, hoping Inoue will make him pay for all the trash-talking he’s done about their hero.

If Casimero wins this fight, he’s definitely going to call out Inoue, which I think will really excite the crowd in attendance.

Good question, he will probably get booed by the Japanese crowd as they know that he has been personally attacking their best fighter in Naoya Inoue. But for sure, Casimero is very much familiar with this kind of crowd reaction, he has been traveling around the world and beating champions in their own backyard.

And probably  this kind of motivation could bring Casimero again just like when he had a run of victories, knocking his opponents with vicious punches. So probably if he won very aggressively and we are impressed, then he could be back in track and fight a rank boxer next.

I think it's question how the break up happens, it could be compare to a bad divorce, as we all know that Manny Pacquiao or at least Sean Gibbons could have given Casimero a good break and they really did in my opinion.

Fighters like Mayweather, Oscar de la Hoya and Canelo have had messy breakups with their promoters and went on to headline some huge fights. The difference is that these guys were already PPV stars and had the leverage to negotiate with TV networks and other promoters. Casimero left his promoter without really thinking things through and had no plans for how he would continue his career afterwards.

Inoue has faced 3 straight fighters that were either managed or promoted by Gibbons. Casimero might not have been happy with how he was being handled but if he had swallowed his pride and remained with MP Promotions there was the potential for bigger opportunities that he could have had.
And probably everything heads into his head, he had won a belt, and could be riding very high as success after success comes in. However, he think that he could like Manny Pacquiao, become huge, but after that, his career goes down to the drain now he could have regretted his decision to left MP, and string of  bad luck happen to him.

In any case, he is already 35 years old and he might be out of his prime already. While MP will continue to get new boxers to replace those old and will continue to flourish. So that's the cycle though, boxers will retire and the promoters still win in the end. Just like Bob Arum, still at the helm of his Top Rank together with his son.
