Inoue, where you at?

Lol, Inoue is no where to be found, even though this fight happens in his country, he won't watch this fight. And he might not like what he had seen, specially that counter left of Inoue because it's the same punch that Nery throws that knock him down.

Did you guys see that? First-round KO—now that’s Casimero! This is exactly why Inoue is making excuses to avoid fighting him. If you're looking for an impressive win, nothing beats a first-round knockout. I just hope that the over-the-limit weigh-in won’t be used to discredit his success, because the fight happened, and Casimero delivered. Congratulations! Now, I’m waiting for Inoue’s response.

I don't think that Inoue is making excuses, but it could be his promoter, specially his Top Rank that doesn't want him to fight John Riel because the Filipino is very dangerous. And we have seen two fights wherein age doesn't really matter, Beterbiev winning at 39 years old and then Casimero with a spectacular knockout at age 35 years old.

With that first round K.O win by Casimero provably the urge of fans to make this fight to happen will became more stronger.

For sure that after this great victory he gotten another discussion for possible fight will float up since many fans want to make this happen since so far this is one of unfinish business in boxing scene.

Nope for sure those over weight thing will not be the reason to discredit his success, for sure Saul Sanchez is aware of this and since they continue to make this fight to happen then there's nothing to question that win. Its first round knock out flawless knock out so for sure fans will not entertain any shit talks and everyone will honor what happen today.

For sure fans of Casimero and the Philippines are very happy to see their very own John Riel winning this fight very easy. I mean he had been in controversial fight when he moves up to 122 lbs. But now it seems that he is back with vengeance, a knockout win, or a referee stoppage win.

This is enough for now for Casimero to be still in the hunt for world title. For me he should be keeping the name of Naoya Inoue from his mouth. Fans wanted to see them inside the ring, but I do not think that Bob Arum is going to risk his cash cow. As I check, he is rank almost in all division, so if Naoya move up, then the all the belts will be open and then that will be his chance again to regain a belt.

The fight was over quickly. The referee might’ve stopped it a bit too early but it was clear that Sanchez was not going to offer much resistance. A win over a smaller fighter, where he came in overweight might not be enough of a statement to draw Inoue’s attention but it shows that Casimero can still be a formidable contender if he can take his career seriously.

I think the referee did stop it prematurely, Sanchez is still throwing punches and he caught Casimero a few times. But Casimero had that straight if I'm not mistaken that staggered Sanchez again, he didn't go down but he had a wobbly legs enough for the referee to halt it.

He can continue to obsess over Inoue, but there are several worthy contenders that are currently ranked ahead of Casimero. The weight struggles didn’t help his cause and raises questions about which division he will continue fighting in.

Do you think though that he can go up to 126 lbs? He will be smaller in that weight class, but I reckon he can give the fans a good fight if he is match on someone that is a natural featherweight. So let's see, he still wants to chase Inoue, but I do not see Arum giving his prize fighter on Casimero. They've for sure nervous when Inoue goes down against Nery, and so they are taking it lightly for Inoue's next fight so that their plan of him fighting in the US will not be derailed by anyone, specially not Casimero.

Now, he silenced them with this big win, however, it might not be enough for him to get the Inoue sweepstakes. Inoue is getting wise now, he wants a easy fight this December before moving up in weight so a play safe fight for him.

Agreed, Bob Arum is the mastermind on cherry picking fights of Inoue. He wants to milk Inoue badly as much as possible since he knew that Japanese fully backed Inoue to sell the fight expensively.

It’s easy for Inoue to silence any doubt about him by beating Casimero if he really likes it personally but there’s a lot of factor that affects his decision including his promoter and manager.

I think Casimero needs to show more result before they can fight. Worst case scenario Inoue will just keep dodging him through different weights.

^^ It's different though when you can't make the weight, obviously you will have all the advantage, but Sanchez is wise, he wanted heavier gloves and there is a rehydration clause. But in any case, when everyone writing off Casimero as a boxer with no discipline, he comes back, beat his opponent very bad that he put him in queer street in just one round.

Jack of all trades 💯
Wow what a stoppage! Casimero knocked down Sanchez twice before peppering him with  punches that the referee stepped in to stop in round one. after the referee stopped the fight, he even did pushups. This will shut down bashers and those who look down on Casimero, With this impressive win, Casimero will continue to insult Inoue of course he even mentioned Inoue in his interview.
I think with this win Inoue should look on Casimero as his next opponent, that is, if he will not cherrypick his next opponent.

Casimero doing a one hand push ups after the referee stop the fight

And that is the old Casimero that we wanted to see, hehehehe, winning by a knockout, and with this great win, he might have shut down his detractors and his hype train goes, not sure though if Inoue is still interested on him at the super bantamweight as it was reported that Sam Goodman is the target of Bob Arum, less risk for Inoue as he is planning to go up in the super featherweight. That left hook of Casimero is has that power though, Sanchez was not able to recover from that second knockdown and he has wobbled legs. Referee did stop the fight and that it is good because Sanchez will take a lot of damage.

Again, if Inoue moves up, then Casimero can still be a world champion at 122 lbs, although in his next fight, he should really hire someone that can look at his weight and make sure that there is no problems the desired weight because it's really unprofessional for a boxer not making their weight class.

Yesterday when Casimero didn't hit the right weight his detractors saying something bad on him and I remember that one of them just give a 20% chance that Casimero would able to win against Sanchez. But looks like the prediction of that dumb analyst is wrong and for sure with this victory what Casimero get he totally lose his credibility to predict or give commentary.

For sure his critics lost a lot of money since they didn't really expect that Casimero would perform like that and what they think that they would see a tired and dehydrated fighter today, but looks like they are been surprised for what they see today.

Congrats to Casimero he show a heart of a true champion.

I was shilling Casimero all throughout our discussion here on this topic but it seems team Casimero never learned their lesson, There's lack of seriousness on the part of Casimero, he should have exerted every effort to make the weight, he's been doing this making weight all throughout his boxing career, if he cannot make the weight, then why stay on that division.
In boxing, if you keep failing in your weight before the fight, it shows your lack of discipline, Although Casimero missed the weight, I'm still excited to see the fight, and hopefully with the added weight he will be better than his last two fights, This fight will leave impressions if he really can take Inoue and fans will take him seriously.

It’s happened, and there’s nothing we can do about it now. But regardless, I’m still backing Casimero to win this fight since he hasn’t lost in his recent bouts. It’s good he didn’t force the weight cut, so he’ll still be in top condition. I’m excited for tonight—Sunday beers on the side to enjoy it!

Final check of the odds: Moneyline at 1.87, total at 8.5 (should go under).

Weight issue again for Casimero..

Casimero misses weight but fight vs Sanchez pushing through
Quote
In the official weigh-in on Saturday, Oct. 12, Casimero tipped the scales at 124.12lbs or 56.33 kilograms – a kilo over the 122 lbs or 55.3kg weight limit while Sanchez easily made the weight at 121.7 lbs.

Casimero was given two hours to shed some weight but still failed to make the cut on the second try after weighing 55.9kg or 123.23 lbs.

The fight is reportedly pushing through as there was no title belt at stake although the situation certainly puts Casimero on bad light anew especially in his bid of attracting a possible fight against unified super bantamweight king Naoya Inoue.

The good news is that the fight still continues since it's a non-title fight, but it's still not great because if it had been a championship fight-which he’s aiming for--then we wouldn’t see the fight, and it would only disappoint the fans.

I try to search for the latest update and this is what I found,

So not sure if this is true or not, but he still needs to lose about 4 lbs and hopefully he can still make the required weight without putting his body on a lot of stress. And we all know that he has history of not making weight, and going to sauna to sweat it out which is not healthy specially that it's the last week and everything could be perfectly align already but this time.

How reliable is that? I thought he was already comfortable in his current division since it was the weight issues that affected his career in bantamweight. Hopefully, those rumors are just false, and Casimero is 100% fit and ready for his upcoming fight. He’s been calling out Inoue, but if he’s still struggling with weight, it might explain why he’s not getting big fights. It's been a while since he fought in a championship match, and it makes you miss those days.

Maybe now we can say that the news is very much reliable as obviously we have heard that he was overweight and was given enough time to cut it, however, since he doesn't have any strength or conditioning coach to help him, this is the result.

But as others have said, it's good to hear that despite all of this, the camp of Sanchez is willing to continue even if Casimero didn't make the weight but we don't know if there is an agreement that he will need to pay some fine for not making weight. And with this, bettors should know that if he is the heavier in fight night, they maybe Casimero will have more power to knockout Sanchez and win that's why he become the favorite after a 50:50 odds in the last couple of days.

It isn't fake news. It's real. And it's nothing surprising. This isn't the first time. Neither is this the second time. This is the third time. It seems Casimero himself and his team haven't learned a lesson. It wasn't enough that he was once prevented from defending a title, even stripped of his belt because of it. Now, they're showing their incompetence once more.

Lucky for Casimero, there isn't any belt on the line in this fight and the match will still proceed. But this isn't anymore a fair fight. He's more than 2 pounds beyond the limit. I'm sure there is a penalty for this violation. It might not be that heavy though knowing that this isn't a title fight.

His chance of winning should be higher now.

Edit: Here is the supposedly update: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA9WOZAgiTo. Sanchez has asked for a heavier gloves on Casimero and there will be a rehydration clause of 128 lbs. Not sure what will happen if Casimero can't make the required rehydration clause though, maybe if he can't then this fight is not going to happen. There is also a fine, meaning Casimero will have to pay Sanchez for missing the weight.

It just shows two things here,

a. Casimero doesn't have the discipline to be in weight ready
b. If he has conditioning coach, he doesn't know what to do with this kind of caliber fighter

It's good that Sanchez want to continue despite this weight issue, and probably if he has different opponent, this fight might not push through. Although he goes back to be the  favorite, it's really disappointed to hear that up to know, he can't control his weight.

Casimero still the favorite, as there are swing bets on him. Perhaps his fans didn't see that there are only listed on our favorite sports betting site. And when they do, they pour their money on it.

However, I don't like that Casimero is overweight or missed the 122 lbs limit in this fight. It will really have a negative impact on his career as this is not the first time. Just imagine if this is a championship fight, perhaps he will be stripped again because of non-compliance. I thought that he had hire someone a nutritionist to handle everything for him so that he will easily make the weight and it will not affect his performance.

The thing is that he will be too short if he wants to go to 126 lbs, and by the looks of it, he might not carry his power to that new weight class.

The good news is that the fight still continues since it's a non-title fight, but it's still not great because if it had been a championship fight-which he’s aiming for--then we wouldn’t see the fight, and it would only disappoint the fans.

Still good news though, thanks for sharing! I just checked the current betting odds, and Casimero is now a slight favorite at 1.79 on the moneyline, down a bit from 1.85. Looks like people still trust Casimero to win, and we’ll soon find out since tomorrow is the big day!

the Weigh in video,

Yeah, but this fight could be the end for Casimero as it shows that he doesn't take care of his weight seriously. He had history already, and so with that, I don't think that he can get a good fight, although if Inoue moves then he might be given another chance.

But if you have missed multiple fights already because of weight issues, then something is wrong with Casimero or his team. Even if he wins here, he has the advantage because he is the bigger guy and good thing that Sanchez is ok if he missed the weight.
