Casimero has indeed rested for time that can be said to be not short, but he seems to maintain his stamina while deciding to rest, now the fight is only about 1 month left and that can be used to recover and prepare for Casimero.
Both fighters also have an age difference of around 8 years and this is one of the problems that Casimero must overcome considering that Sanchez will be superior in stamina, but Casimero is more experienced and he can take advantage of every condition to take advantage of Sanchez weaknesses.
I would say that this might be his last chance to prove to us that he still has that killer instinct left in him, and he should win by KO. However, I'm already guessing what people will say after this fight, even if it ends in a KO win for Casimero. They might claim that his opponent wasn’t a quality fighter, which is why he won easily. I think the same goes for Inoue, who just recently beat his opponent, and fans didn’t get excited watching it.
Yes, that true because if Casimero fails to win and can't fight well, then it clear that more people won't believe in him and he probably won't be able to get the fight he always wanted, even worse, Casimero won't be able to fight for the title in the future.
Whatever the result, the most important thing is that he must be able to show great fight, whether he wins or loses, there will always be negative statements about him because everyone must have their own favorite fighter.
I don't really care about what people out there will talk about because the most important thing in my opinion is that Casimero can fight like when he was young and at the peak of his glory with fighting style that seemed aggressive.
It been long time since we saw Casimero fight and his return to the ring is highlight for his fans.

He is in his mid-35 so the killer instinct in him might be gone, or slowly getting little by little as we all know that in this sports, when you age, if will really affect your performance. And so far when Casimero moves to 122 lbs, he hasn't win by knockout.

So I will agree, the window is closing and so this could be his last time to prove us that he can win via knockout and that he is still somewhat in his prime. Otherwise, if he shows nothing here in this fight, against a fighter that majority thinks he can knockout, then it might be over for him or at least he is no longer in his prime.

Age is definitely a big factor, but I still don’t want to abandon my belief that Casimero can deliver an impressive result. I’m hopeful that Inoue will notice him and give him a chance to fight before he retires. We don’t want to keep speculating whether Inoue really dodged Casimero or if Casimero simply isn’t deserving of the opportunity. Inoue should respect what the fans want to see, and that’s for him to fight the boxer who has been paired with him for so long.

This fight is a make or break for Casimero if he lose here then he has no right to roast Inoue anymore but a strong showing will make him roast Inoue even more.
I agree that this fight could be a make-or-break for Casimero but that has nothing to do with him being able to roast Inoue or not(and to be honest even if he wins he doesn't really have the "right" to roast Inoue, especially how far Inoue has come), if he lost here this could further dampen his career and if he wins it could open new fights for him.

He's currently out of shape and his last fight is kinda disappointing since many people has not satisfied with the performance he show. That means he is totally declining and that's not good for his career.

But this match against Sanchez maybe a deciding factor if he still have gas left to continue or he need to retire since if he lost against Sanchez for sure no boxing promoter will give him a big fight. That's why he need to perform more better compare to his last fight since he's so awful at that time and its like he's no stamina to continue which is common problem with Casimero.

I'm a follower of Casimero on his social media and it looks like he is is hard training right now he is doing everything to get back in top shape because he knows how important this fight is he is doing hard work out and base on latest look on his social media he is ready to get in action.
This fight is a make or break for Casimero if he lose here then he has no right to roast Inoue anymore but a strong showing will make him roast Inoue even more.

And for sure, he might be training very hard somewhere in the Philippines, and that's what he should do, and I also hope that he has surround himself with good trainer and corner so that he can extend his career and can win this fight impressively.

However, in my opinion, the more he roast of make fun of Inoue, the more Naoya is not going to fight and will not fall for that kind of trick. And after Naoya Inoue wins against TJ last night, Bob Arum says that he will have his last fight at this division at the end of the year. So time is really running out of Casimero as Inoue will be moving up and will be fighting in America next year.

If this speculation is true, why would Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing talk to them?
Bob isn’t new to the business, and the fact that he partnered with a promoter in Japan and that most of Inoue's fights have taken place there makes it clear that arranging this fight is not impossible. If they are genuinely interested, they could make it happen, settling things once and for all before Inoue moves up.
This might be very regretful statement, however, I reckon that Casimero will retire with no challenges against the champions or challenges against the best boxers in his weight divisions.
It’s unfortunate, but it’s the reality of the situation. Casimero parting ways with MP Promotions seems to have been a misstep in his boxing career, and now he’s facing the consequences. Without the right backing, he’s not getting the matchups that would elevate him to become a mandatory challenger for Inoue. It’s a tough position to be in, and it’s sad to see his potential being hindered by these circumstances.

However, similar to what you have mentioned, it will certainly be very difficult for Casimero to get the fights that his career will need to become a deserving challenger for Naoya Inoue. This might not very much be important if the boxer is young and only on the beginning of his career. But this Casimero is old for a boxer and on the ending of his career.

Right, age is a big factor for boxers, as we all know that this is a contact sports, and it's really hard to continue up to you 40's and still remain on top. And from what we have seen since John Riel move up to 122 lbs he is not the same boxer anymore. And maybe he knows that, that's why he keeps on taunting Inoue up to this day so that he will get the biggest paycheck for his career. But Inoue is no longer interested on fighting him.

I am not quite certain what happened to the negotiations with Nonito Donaire, however, after this fight was cancelled Casimero has fought Akaho, Filipus and Yukinoti Oguni. Who are these boxers?

They patch up things, the Donaire's doesn't want to give Casimero that big paycheck, as John Riel did attack Nonito and Rachel, and it was the latter who says no to the fight as we all know that Rachel is the manager of Nonito himself. But after that, everything ends well as both are Filipinos and have settled their difference. And if I'm not mistaken, Donaire even offers to help Casimero and train him in preparation to fight Inoue, but obviously we all know that that fight didn't happen.

I reckon if he has fought Nonito Donaire and had the victory, this would certainly cause Inoue to have an attraction on a fight against Casimero. There was an article before that reported, according to Donaire's wife, Casimero would not agree to a drug and steroid test. Does this imply that Casimero is using steroids?

It could be, only if Casimero will win as his stock will go up. Unfortunately, bad decisions lead to Casimero's career stopping at a sudden halt specially after he failed to fight Butler. As far as steroids go, personally I do not think that Casimero is using steroids, it could be in the Filipino genes that some part of their province produces more great boxers specially in the part of Visayas region.

In every boxing fight or other, age is always reason for many people to doubt fighter, especially if the opponent is fighter with a younger age, then clearly this raises many different sentiments.
It just that if Casimero can still appear fit and really prepare his body and energy in the fight later, then clearly I will believe that Casimero can give us all surprise.

Let just see what will happen in this fight, of course we all want to see Casimero can perform well or get an impressive victory.
Regarding the fight that is wanted to fight Inoue, this is clearly something we have been waiting for long time, they can present truly spectacular fight and whoever wins will always be considered the best.

Casimero vs Sanchez should be an easy win for Casimero and of course this is indeed an opportunity for Casimero to start restore his name as it used be when he was one of the best boxers.
By defeating Sanchez and having more fights in the future, it might also be an opportunity for Casimero to face Inoue as he has always wanted, but in several attempts at meetings that could have happened before, Inoue refused to fight Casimero.
For the fight against Sanchez later I still believe that Casimero will be the favorite, but if this fight ends with Casimero defeat, then it is clear that he will have difficulty getting place as one of the boxers who is worthy of being challenger for Inoue in the future.
Don't know about how the state of conditioning of Casimero since if we really base it on comparison between both of them we can safely say that he have all the advantage and most likely gonna take a win in this bout.

But if he really want to get a easy win for this fight much really better if he properly enhance his stamina since so far for many times he fight recently this is a serious issue his facing since he's easily get tired and that's dangerous if he's opponent will take advantage in that situation. There's no doubt that Casimero is heavy favorite here since Sanchez is not actually a big threat for him. But who knows maybe we can see an expected things in their match up. People still hoping to see a Inoue vs Casimero fight since this is unfinished business so far in boxing scene.

After a year of being inactive, John Riel Casimero will make his return to the ring against former title challenger Saul Sanchez. Sanchez is ranked #13 and #8 by the WBC and WBO in the bantamweight division. Earlier this year, he lost a majority decision to Jason Moloney. He is a decent quality fringe contender. The fight will be in Japan and if Casimero has any hope of getting a fight against Naoya Inoue, he will have to win impressively by knockout against this opponent who is coming up in weight.

The very exciting ring return for Casimero came against Saul Sanchez. This fight is paramount to Casimero re-establishing his status in the bantamweight division, given that he has been out of action for a year. While Sanchez may have lost recently to Jason Moloney, he is an excellent opponent with very good credentials, as both the WBC and WBO rank him.

The manner in which Casimero gets into a big fight with Naoya Inoue will rest on the performance he puts up here. With Sanchez having lost two of his last three fights, and supposedly coming in heavy to the weight, Casimero will not only be favored but one would expect him to win convincingly-a stoppage would likely be a good thing.

Such may be the case with a solid career that could get Casimero back in the fold, which would give him the best case to compete against Inoue, the top fighter in the division. Second, it was a way of appealing to the Japanese audiences and maybe catching the eye of the Inoue campaign.

How Casimero overcomes ring rust and adjusts to how the bantamweight division is today will mean everything. Sanchez has the possibility of showing just how prepared Casimero is for the greater tasks that lie ahead.

If this speculation is true, why would Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing talk to them?

The fight negotiations between John Riel Casimero versus Nonito Donaire did not materialize, and a victory over the latter will raise Casimero's status and appeal as an opponent against Naoya Inoue. Since the ban, Casimero has been matched up with underrated opponents such as Ryuichi Funai, Philip Mugabi and Yukinori Oguni. Though such fighters are good to say the least, they have never earned respect like Donaire has. The issues regarding drug and steroid testing have to be handled with a lot of care. While there have been reports on Casimero refusing tests, no reports indicate the use of steroids. The added controversy with his latest rivals may well jeopardize Casimero's visibility and further possible matches.

Pacquiao is really a special kind of boxer, and we don't know if we will see this kind of breed in the next 50 years or so.
~snip~
You know what makes Pacquiao a legend? It’s his humility. He’s a beast in the ring, but he’s a humble person.

But in the end, Inoue still win and then Casimero can't keep Inoue out of his mouth and then calls him during his live streamed. But now he needs to win against a so so fighter in Sanchez to proved that he still has it or not.

The attitude of Casimero hasn't changed, he kept on ranting just for trash talks without even thinking it affected his well being towards his boxing careeer.  If he keeps talking bad things on other boxers and always making himself as if he won't be overtaken, I think he needs to correct that actions because we don't need to hear too much confidence. Humbleness of Filipino boxer like Pacman is already a renounced impressions from other races. There's a lot of scenario went reversed during actual boxing match, those that throwing boastful statements losses in the actual fights and history can prove it on several reviews through video streaming platforms.

And that's what also surprises me, he continue to rant and attack Inoue on his Youtube channel and forget everything that he needs Inoue and not the other way around. And I don't think that he will change a bit though, that's how he build his career.

But that is the wrong way to do specially that he is no longer the champion. He need to be humble because he is the one asking for a fight. Although wishes is granted with a Sanchez fight, but this is not what we wanted to see him fighting next but Inoue, however, we fans are not seeing that fight happening in the near future.

You know what makes Pacquiao a legend? It’s his humility. He’s a beast in the ring, but he’s a humble person. He doesn’t need to show off or do anything to attract the attention of fans because he’s already loved by them. I even think Pacman is the greatest boxer in the world. Compared to Casimero, there’s a huge disparity in success. Casimero’s career is already declining, while Pacman, although retired, could easily make millions if he did an exhibition fight. The closest to Pacman now is Inoue, but I doubt he’ll ever reach Pacman’s level because Inoue isn’t as aggressive in moving up in weight classes like Pacman was.

Casimero’s lack of humility has been a major factor in missing opportunities that would have benefited his career. He could’ve fought Inoue during the pandemic but refused to take a pay cut to make it happen. Casimero’s trash talk against Nonito and Rachel Donaire, as well as disagreements over drug testing, caused their unification fight to be called off. Then he sabotaged the relationship with MP Promotions.

He was never going to be as great as Manny but still we are left to wonder what could have been if Casimero had just stayed out of his own way. His ceiling could have been a bit higher.
It is really the bad decision that took the tool on Casimero's career. I mean if he just stay humble and just thank everyone behind him for being a champion at 118 lbs and he is really building that kind of momentum for him and Inoue to fight. But his ego and pride got the better, he might have think that he is going to continue to take over that division and have a fight with Inoue. But bad decision after one another, and if I'm not mistaken, he had a serious allegation back in the Philippines for having sex with a minor.

Casimero probably thought that talking trash would get him big fights. He might idolize Mayweather, but they don’t have the same style. In my opinion, the best boxers of my generation are Pacman and then Donaire. Even if Casimero just followed Donaire’s path, that would already be a huge success for his career, but it seems like he’s lost his hunger for boxing. He talks a lot but doesn’t do much in the ring anymore, as evidenced by his recent fights. However, I still want to see him fight Inoue before he eventually retires from boxing.

I'd love to witness that moment when Inoue would teach him a big lesson soon in lieu to his dirty mouth always stating worthless thoughts against fellow boxers. I don't think this guy Casimiro that so called idolizing Mayweather would do the same path with career of Floyd, because in terms of power he's nothing to prove compared to what legacy this guy had been through. With respect to Floyd's overconfidence, he marked his worlds with results not just by words and actions proved rather than a bunch of talks.

Pacquiao is really a special kind of boxer, and we don't know if we will see this kind of breed in the next 50 years or so.

Pacquiao is really a special kind of boxer, and we don't know if we will see this kind of breed in the next 50 years or so. And I doubt that Casimero will be as half as what Pacquiao accomplished. So this is just a test for Casimero, if he wins in impressive or not so impressive fashion, it doesn't matter to Inoue though. Inoue has set his path to go up in Featherweight as reported after this fight.

Yes, most Filipino boxers are humble, if we look at the history of all Filipino champions in the past, we haven't seen a Filipino boxer as brandish as Casimero. Now that he is on the decline, he still keeps his mouth, and if I remember it correctly, he streamed himself watching the Inoue vs Nery fight and was laughing his ass off when Inoue got knock down by Nery.

But in the end, Inoue still win and then Casimero can't keep Inoue out of his mouth and then calls him during his live streamed. But now he needs to win against a so so fighter in Sanchez to proved that he still has it or not.
