Just some update on the lawsuit against Pacquiao:

Quote
The former eight-division champion was deemed free and clear to move forward with his upcoming challenge of unified WBC/IBF welterweight titlist Errol Spence Jr. A motion filed by Paradigm Sports and its founder/combat sports manager Audie Attar to block the upcoming title fight was rejected Friday by the Orange County Superior Court. The ruling—while not outright dismissing the breach of contract lawsuit filed with the same court— allows Pacquiao and Spence to move forward with their August 21 title fight, which will air live on Fox Sports Pay-Per-View from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

So it means the fight with Spence is a go, but it doesn't mean that his case is voided already. Maybe the judge is a Pacquiao fans that's why he rule in favor of Manny.  Grin. But in any case, at least this is a good news and we all know that the fight is going to happen 100%.

If Pacquiao has the most important advantage, why isn't he the favorite in this fight? Bookmakers are ready to answer with money for their analysis and they give a clear preference to Spence.
Sometimes I am very sorry that in sports we always see single results and cannot assess the overall picture. Sometimes a random event happens, but in the absence of others, we recognize it as natural. I think if Pacquiao wins it will be something similar.

Pacman is the underdog because Errol Spence is younger, bigger, stronger and Pacman has not been active in boxig after his fight versus Keith Thruman. Spence is also presently higher than Pacman in the best boxer pound for pound rankings.

However, you question Pacman’s speed hehe. You can watch Pacman’s heavy bag training on youtube and compare this with Spence heavy bag training.

The speed of working on a heavy bag is very dependent on the impact force you put into it. I think I can’t appreciate it from the video. In addition, watching the video will not give an answer about what state the boxers will be in on the day of the fight (it is always easier for the young to prepare, so Spence has an advantage here too).

You also have to remember that Spence will be coming from an injury due to the car cash that happened last 2019.

Regardless, based on numbers alone, the fact still remains that Spence is younger and bigger. But against Pacquiao, who is also a southpaw, and has tremendous experience in fighting, I do think that he has the edge here. His skill, knowledge, and speed can literally dominate Spence in the ring. Most fighters that fought Pacquiao underestimated his speed and they only acknowledged it after their respective defeats.
The 2019 car crash with Spence was no excuse as Spence returned to the ring in December 2020, when he defeated former two-division champion Danny Garcia in twelve rounds.
and Pacquiao's last fight was in 2019 against Keith Thurman and Pacquiao knocked him out in the first round and after that he was out for more than a year, and although spence is younger and taller but for Pacquiao it doesn't matter because he is used to fighting with bigger ones , young and tall but he can beat him.

Spence has fully recovered, that crash happen a long time ago, he is fully healthy now and he can fight toe to toe against any opponent. In fact, people believe that he is the stronger fighter here, hence making him the favorites, and that's enough confirmation that he is back as a champion.

Here are the undercards of this big fight.

https://nyfights.com/announcements/undercard-announced-in-support-of-pacquiao-vs-spence-jr-ppv/

Quote
WBA Welterweight World Champion Yordenis Ugás will square off against Argentina’s Fabián “TNT” Maidana in the co-main event, while former world champions and all-action brawlers Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and “Vicious” Víctor Ortiz will meet in a 10-round welterweight duel. Kicking off the pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, unbeaten featherweight contender Mark Magsayo battles former world champion Julio Ceja in a 10-round attraction.

We have good fighters in the undercard, this day should be an entertaining day and I'm sure I'll lock into this fight.
I have not availed of the PPV subscription yet but I'm sure I will.

The undercard seems underwhelming. For an event of this magnitude people will tune in because of the main event so it doesn't make much of a difference if they put unknown or washed up fighters. If we get a competitive and entertaining undercard fight it will just be a bonus.

Yes, the undercard looks like the main event, except for the Magsayo vs Julio Ceja fight. Those who will avail of the PPV and those who will watch it in the arena will sure not regret waiting for the main event because they will be entertained with the big fights in the undercard.

LOL, two former welterweights in their, Guerrero vs Ortiz, they should have fight during their primes. In any case, I would still love to see these two get it on, both are lefties as far as I can remember so watch out for the head clash.

Magsayo was already reported to be in this undercard in the beginning, and as said, facing former champion in Ceja so that is also a good match and see how Magsayo will respond because for sure he will be tested by Ceja here.

Finally, it has been updated already, the wait is over and now we know already who's gonna fight.

There's one Filipino fighter here, he is undefeated and he is lucky to have work with MP promotion that he gets a chance to fight in this historic fight, if he will beat the former world champion, then for sure he will get more big fights in the USA.

absolutely , at Pacquiao's age , he had proven the skills and ability most gamblers dont have.

he maintained his quickness and accuracy so he will still dominate this fight.
I believe he has the quickness and accuracy and that is his advantage, however, I don't think it's an easy fight for him that we think he will dominate in this fight. I'm seeing a close fight, just like a Thurman fight but in the end, Manny will be declared as the winner.
As a fan, we do hope Pacquiao will dominate this fight and win but we should not underestimate Spence as he is younger and an experience boxer as well. They both have the guts and ability thus its not easy to predict who might win in this fight.
No one can underestimate him that's why he is heavily favored to win this fight.

Spence is 1.44 to win this fight, that's how huge a favorite he is.

I never saw these odds in the past fights of Manny Pacquiao, even his fight with Mayweather when he was the underdog, the odds of Mayweather closes to 1.54, still higher compared to the odds of Spence Jr.

Spence is a better fighter compared to Thurman and Pacquiao was 40 years old when he fought Thurman, now he is 42 and he fought a younger fighter, so everyone was really thinking it's a hard fight for Pacquiao and it could put him into retirement. But of course, for believers like me, we always believe that it's gonna be an easy fight for Pacquiao and he will dominate again.

Its hard to tell that it will be an easy fight for Pacman knowing the professional record of Errol Spence where he is undefeated and almost all of that win is by Knock-out so for sure this will never be an easy fight for Manny since first I believe he is not in full shape since he is not mentally focus as he has so many controversy goes so far in Philippines plus age factor will possibly shows here so I hope this is not the retirement fight of Pacquiao if he lost to Spence.

This is different compared to the past fight of Manny Pacquiao because Thurman underestimated him but Spence never underestimates Pacquiao and he is training hard to give his best in the fight. So we should expect this and all our war, if we are looking for real entertainment, this should be it.

I never heard trash talks from Spence, and actually, they don't need a trash talk as people know this is the biggest fight of the year.

It will be sold out, no matter what.

Are you ready Guys? we are just 2 weeks away from the fight,.

Do you think Pacquiao has more speed? I strongly doubt it, at least with each new round he will slow down more than the young boxer. I am still wondering what kind of bet I should make. Maybe I'll wait for the match to start and place a bet online if I see a profitable change in odds.

I believe yes it seems that the legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao has still his biggest advantage while on ring which is his speed though he is aged compared to Errol Spence Jr but i bet bettors were still on favor of Manny Pacquiao. Also, this man has still his strongest left punch that listed many knock out on his past games so the edge still on him and I wouldn't doubt to place a bet on him this coming Aug. 21st. The game is fast approaching so let's all watch and see the result of our speculations.
He is but I guess he can still do the tango with Errol even at this age and I wouldn't doubt that he would. He will still be the favorite and I don't think the age is a hindrance not to be. It's just around the corner and looks like our country will gets on pause again once the fight goes live. Rooting for my own countryman Manny.

Yes, 100%... Manny Pacquiao has the speed advantage over spence, I'm sure majority of bettors and fans here will agree with me. Spence has the youth, has the advantage in terms of power, "maybe", but with the experience and speed, I think Manny will win the fight. Just think of it, if you are not sure yet, but I'd say, follow your heart always, so you'll have fun watching the fight.

Yeah, we have the same comparison in the Thurman fight as well. There are a lot of videos circulating on youtube that time comparing the heavy body bag training and we can clearly see the Pacquiao still has the speed and power, very bad intent to say the least.

Although Pacquiao is the underdog, doesn't matter, we all know that he gives 100% on his every fight. But hopefully, he can win against the young Spence and prove once again he is still pound for pound.

Experience wise, Manny has the edge, he punch still can lay down any welterweight out there, just ask Thurman. The thing with Manny is that the angle he cuts, you can't teach that in training. It has to be that he has face so many opponents in his career that he knows where to play his feet and then throw that awkward left. He still has that speed for me and might caught Spence as the fight goes on. He is still the underdog as far as betting now @2.60.

I'm not worried about him being the underdog, in fact, it gives us an opportunity for a better return of our money in case we win our bet. The fight is nearing, I'm sure both fighters are almost ready, let's just hope that nothing will stop the event and we will see a successful one as for sure this is war.
