Just a couple of days before the actual fight. I'm sure that the Philippines is already preparing PPV shows all over. hhahaha. They all love Manny and even though he lost some of his luster, Filipinos still loves to watch his fight live in every bar and even in a cinema. That's how Filipino loves him because he really one specially boxer and its going hard to be duplicated again.

Yes. Some nearby bars are offering a live telecast now. Not just for Manny but there are Filipinos on undercard too. I have a ticket pass honestly on one of those but unfortunately I like to watched at home because I can't make it to travel by that early in the morning. It's weekend so restday and I want to stay at home. There are lots of free streaming sites available just as before. I just need to find a server early as slots are limited.

Back to topic, Pacquiao and Matthysee are still on weight maintaining training as part of preparation for the upcoming weigh-in on Saturday. Both believed they will be in for weight limit and I guess too that there will be no problem.

Excited to watch how this fight will going to end, Pacman's die hard fans will surely bet all in for him and even there's already a question with his capability to knock down his opponents believers will still entrust their fate for him inside the gambling arena, till the last round or the announcement of the referee
before things will end for this two respected boxers.

I wanted to share you a good article coming from Bradley himself.

Quote
I’ve always said that Manny Pacquiao’s B game is better than a lot of guys’ A game,” Bradley said during ESPN’s broadcast Saturday night from Fresno, California. “Still today, he still has that speed and he still has that punching power. I think he’s still available and ready to fight any of these guys in the division, and I don’t think anybody’s afraid of him right now.

Quote
“Well, the young ones will always let you know when it’s time to hang ‘em up,” Bradley said. “So until a young one reminds Manny Pacquiao that this is the boxing business and you better be on your A game, I think he should continue on doing whatever makes him happy.”

At least as a boxer, and fan, he makes a unbiased comment about how good Manny is up to this point of his career.

@bisdak40, it would be fitting if Manny can fight Crawford. Again it will be like ODLH vs Manny, wherein the young Manny demolished Oscar and somewhat passed him the torch as the next cash cow wish Manny did. Crawford has been touted as the next big thing in boxing and Bob Arum's cash cow now so I have no doubt that the fight can happen in the future.

Although Manny Pacquiao past his prime and he reached his 40's which is seems to be too old for getting into this kind of sports but his hand speed and power slowly diminished but still Manny Pacquiao still has an edge to win this fight i am not rooting for a knock out but still an expectation of unanimous decision will be the outcome of this game.
A slow Manny Pacquiao is faster than an average boxer as they say so we can see here that Manny has an advantage in terms of speed. Speed is power, the volume of punches that Manny throws in a single round evidently diminished in his last fights but still he has advantage over Matthysse. The only thing that worries me here is the lucky punch that might hit Manny but i think Manny would be careful enough not to fall to the same fate he suffer against Juan Manuel Marquez.

Manny Pacquiao should win this fight as this is a preparatory for his retirement fight against Crawford and should he lose this one then it would be goodbye boxing for him.

Ever heard Victor Postol of Ukraine? The only fighter to score a knockout win over Matthysse. The man behind Postol's success is a Marvin Somodio, Filipino. Longtime deputy of Pacquiao’s former trainer, Freddie Roach. Somodio, who also gained a wealth of experience by being part of Pacquiao’s training team via Roach beginning 2009, said he sees Pacquiao scoring a decisive win over Matthysse.

Somodio said Postol isn't that strong puncher but manage to knockout Matthysse. Somodio said if Matthysse can't get Pacquiao after 4rounds, Manny will get him and won't reach 12rounds.

I'm very confident with this fight that Pacquiao will prove us once again that he still can fight.

WOW! nice source wherever you got this. But I wouldn't be confident of saying that this is going to be an easy and sure win for MP, Matthysse probably learned from that lose and trained hard for this fight.
Few more days to go, everyone's excited.

@harizen. When was the last time Manny Pacquiao was knocked out by an opponent, and what are the chances that Lucas Matthysse can do it? It might make the fight more entertaining to bet on Lucas knocking out Manny and wait for that to happen hehehe.

That was Lucas Matthysse's aim so we just need to wait if he can really showed it on the ring. No way we can know how much is the chances. Possibilities are always there. Remember the time when Juan Manual Marquez hit that fatal blow to Pacquaio that made the latter kiss the floor? That was unexpected so in here, there is also chances.

Try to browse for sports booking sites as who knows they might opened a bet for Knockout option.
That chances are too small and often called as lucky punch, i think it because also with Marquez attributes of being a counter puncher. Winning by knockout especially to knockout Manny is very hard thing to do. We know how Manny is giving the tempo of the fight and he doesn't want to be in the corner of the fight he is always giving aggressiveness so the chances are small especially if the fighter or Matthysse is not a good puncher.

Alright Manny's in Malaysia now.

If he wins, he probably won't retire, that's the problem with older boxers, they don't give up.
I wouldn't judge him too early unless he said something new just like before, he told to the media that he'll start retiring soon but look there's fight with Horn and now with Matthysse.

He has too many careers and who knows if he chose to focus with any of it like his political or jump for being a coach or a pastor or so.
Same thoughts.! Out of all recent careers as of now you would really be confused on which field he would tried to focus on but i bet he wont easily leave boxing yet this is the thing who lift him up and make a trademark on his name same goes with financial aspect. We cant really judge on what he would tend to do and you are right its been talked about retirement about his last fight with Horn but now we are seeing him fighting once again. This would be a good match up basing on opponents current statistics.

If Lucas Matthysse is not able to knockout Manny and fight will be via decision, more likely fight will go to Manny Pacquiao. Lucas Matthysse needs to score a lot in this fight and no back pedaling or running around, Manny Pacquiao will really hunt him down around the ring. Manny Pacquiao is out to prove that he still have a few fights left in him before he retires.

If he wins, he probably won't retire, that's the problem with older boxers, they don't give up. So odds are even if Pacman wins, he will still have another fight or two until he is inevitably bested, and probably KO'd by the better, younger man. Hopefully he has the sense to see this is the road all Boxers take, and manages to avoid the mistake though. I personally doubt it though, he looks like a guy that won't back down due to age.

I think he's renting his record by taking these unnecessary fights. Hasn't paceman had enough if he's fighting for the money? I still think he will be better off focusing on politics than the ring. He's done and shouldn't let boxing retire him.

The Dude is done but i guess he can still sell a fight and make good money from his fame even though he might end up loosing so i think so long as he doesn't see anything wrong in tarnishing his reputation by loosing fights then we should leave him to make his money. It's good business dude!
Even if Senator Manny can still fill arenas, that doesn't mean its not the time to hang up the gloves yet. What Manny's camp should look at is his capacity to fight, can he still fight younger boxers and win. Manny is already a Legend and a future hall of famer. I would rather see him hang up the gloves while he is still on very good shape, than retire because someone knocked him out cold.

I am supporting Pacquiao against Matthysse in the upcoming match on 15 July because pacquiao is in good body language and can defeat any player comes in his way. It is the rules not to have a perception to consider your opponent not a loser of a poor competent and I believe that Mathysse can upset in this game. It is boxing and my choice is Pacquiao in this game, what is yours?

@Boafeng. That news article is hype. Do not trust anything positive written on the fight before any fight. You will go home very disappointed hehehe. Remember Floyd versus Manny, or Floyd versus Conor McGregor? Both fights were hyped to be super fights, they pleased many people, but ended failing to impress the real fans.
It's all part of the promotion of the upcoming fight. You don't write negative news before a fight or else no one will watch. We can only hear negative news after the fight.

The fight between Floyd and Manny did not need an advertising as their names are popular enough even to non-fight fans all over the world. That fight was not hyped, this upcoming fight maybe. Smiley

Yes, hype the fight and tell no one of the hidden shoulder injury that Manny had before the fight because it is negative news.

Also, for a fight that did not need advertising because of the big names, it was a very uneventful. It was overhyped.

Just a week left before the Pacman picks up his gloves again and starts wrecking.

What will you guys be betting for this fight? I'll go for Pacquiao to win by unanimous decision, but might also put a small amount on SD.

We will see what happens with that. I think that’s how they could overcome Manny. That’s the instincts that he has to hunt him down. He might not be at his Prime anymore but still he will be able to win against Lucas. Time to bet! I will be betting with Manny as usual but we will never know what would happen unless it’s already there.

Yes, I know that every fight is hype. I was one of those people who think that Floyd vs Conor will not happen, but eventually it did because of the big money involved. (We all know what happen nexts to Conor, doesn't want to go inside the Octagon anymore because of the huge windfall he got  Grin). But I haven't read any hyping the fight of Manny mentioning Marquez though because it was irrelevant at this stage.
