I have a question for Manny fans or the Filipinos. This was asked by someone before but it gave no definite answer.
Manny Pacquiao is a senator in the Phillipines that would maybe make him more money, legally or illegally, than boxing. Why does he continue to do it? Is he in debt? I heard he spends and gambles too much. A common mistake among superstar athletes, I reckon.

I think its too early for the odds makers to announce what are the odds for this fight. Give it until a week before the fight and you'll start hearing which fighter gets the good numbers. Top Rank dropped Manny because of a lot of issues and one of them is Manny can't focus on just boxing. Manny has a lot of things in his plate which is not good in terms of promoting an upcoming fight. Too sad this fight is not under of Top rank promotion.

My service provider is charging me around $50 to for it to be able to watched live. I don't want to spend some bucks here unlike when I did during Pacquaio v Mayweather fight.
Or maybe those free to watched sites will just appear during the day of the fight?
There will be no sites that will announced it on advance as they might be take down for violating the terms.
As usual even with those much big fights in the past, those livestream sites will be popped anywhere on the day of the match. And livestream on social media especially on Facebook will surely be available on that day.
Just a tip of advice that if you want to get accessed it on a livestream website itself, find it on early time so that you will be on their slot. Sometimes latecomers are on another channel which is frequently slow in buffering although the internet speed is good and fine.
I bet Matthysse will win by unanimous decision. I really hate when Pacquiao said that this fight has a great chance of not ending in the 12th round when we all know it will. Pacquiao is just now a good sparring partner for upcoming boxers so they can have more experience to be a great legend someday.

As far as I know, it will be scheduled as plan, 15th of July. I'm watching television yesterday and they advertise the Pacquiao-Matthysse that will be air in their station. And I think they already finalize it so no need to worry. This will be the fight of the champions.

Of course just like others have said, they are all in the business of money making so this match is not a exception. But maybe for the sake of exposure he will just fight and even if he lose he is not after the money. The guy is already rich I think he is running for senate re election and this game is one of his plan to appear in the media.

We cannot underestimate Manny for his age and without enough training he can still won and give a good fight and ache to his opponent with a clean fight.
Manny has MP promotions which work with Arum's TR in his last couple of fights if I remember it. Yes, that snake Arum milk Manny up to the last drop and now is slowly moving away because Manny has somewhat diminished his power to attract fans to watch his fight. But I don't think that's a fair assumption though, manny can bring fight fans to watch him specially in the US soil. Unfortunately, issues with IRS (rumor?) and then Arum's who are now pushing for Crawford at his next cash cow together Lomachenko. There was even some media reports that team Pacquiao received a cold treatment from Arum during his last fight with Horn because its the last fight under TR's contract.
Arum and Manny have a lot of disagreements lately and most of the time it has something to do with schedule. Manny is Arums prizefighter and he wants to make sure that his prizefighter is in good shape and has trained well before the fight in which Manny can't deliver since he has a lot of things to take care specially now that aside from being a Senator, he formed a Basketball league that will rival PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) which is the MPBL or the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League. I still wish he will win this fight with Matthysse and hang the gloves after. His book is written already and he is already a legend since he is the only one who was able to win the championship belt for 8-division.

Looks like you really didn't know that Manny have regular exercise as part of his daily routine. Even when there's no upcoming match, he always do that routine. Media will not covered it of course because in the first place it's a normal scene.
Sake of exposure? lol. You really think Pacquiao will have a sole purpose of fighting just because of exposure? You don't have an idea how large and wide his mechanism here in PH if the goal is for public exposure.
Manny is a avid fan of basketball and I remember him having a close relationship with Boston big 3 then specially Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. He's even have his own basketball team if I'm not mistaken. What I'm trying to drive out is that Manny not just loves boxing, but other sports as well. So he is really involved in other sports like basketball so he must be really keeping his physical eventhough he is busy at his Senate duty.
I also agree that he doesn't need that exposure, just hearing his name would be enough for the Philippines to go out and watch his fights. He is very well known obviously that he was elected as a Senator in a very tough election two years ago. Exposure would be the least reasons Manny will fight again. He really wanted to redeem himself from his last fight with Horn.

Manny fist was still solid although him getting up in weight classes has somewhat diminishes it because we haven't seen him KO anyone after the Hatton fight. Maybe the rumor about the IRS is true but I'm under the impression that he has settled it before because it was really media sensationalized.
It's going to be sad if he will not fight in US because most of his fans are based there but I wouldn't be surprised because of the rumor IRS problem again.
