I guess it should be in a place or country that will gain more viewers, especially those who will go to the venue so this big fight will make a good revenue, and if Joshua will bounce back and win, well, the big fight will be waiting for him.

I think the number of viewers that will go to the venue in a particular country does not matter much. The main gains are from PPV, not from tickets. No doubt, the venue must be big enough to match the size of the fight. The place of venue must be located in the country, which could others boxers visit, because there is always some fights before main event. However, if the locals see their local fighters compete, that will be good to. But the venue is not that much important. The venue will just allow food and beverage services to earn.

Looks like Usyk is the overwhelming favorite as expected.

This will be one of the few fights that Joshua will go into as an underdog. The other two being when he faced Klitschko and the second Andy Ruiz fight. Both times we have seen that he has the grit and game plan to win.

However, I think this loss against Usyk was the most convincing so far. Unlike Ruiz who got a lucky punch that ruined Joshua thenceforward, Usyk straight up dismantled him over 12 rounds and almost had him out in the last few seconds.

Such a brutal beat down isn't easy to come back from, mentally as well as physically. Nonetheless, I like joshua's chances in the rematch, but still have to give the edge to Usyk — since I think he's not just the best of this era, but also arguably one of the greatest of all time (as is Fury).

Btw, is it already know officially where the rematch will be held? In Kiev? This would change few decimals in odds in Usyks favour for sure Cheesy

Joshua vs Usyk 2: When and where could it happen?
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has said the rematch could take place in March or April in 2022.

Hearn also believes that the fight will be held in the UK again despite Usyk wanting to take it back to his homeland of Ukraine.

Though it's not final yet at least we have an idea of the location of the rematch fight.

We will see real odds only when the training camp would be over and both fighters will show their form in an open training. Before that, that is simple speculation and making predictions based on the results of their first fight aka on the past.

But I find current odds "1,44 for Usyk and 2,72 for Joshua" quite true. I don't believe they would change significantly. Btw, is it already know officially where the rematch will be held? In Kiev? This would change few decimals in odds in Usyks favour for sure Cheesy

The opening betting odds for the rematch are as follows.

Quote
Usyk vs Joshua 2 Odds
Boxer   Odds
Oleksandr Usyk   -225
Anthony Joshua   +172

It's Usyk who is the favorite, and I believe this is just right as Joshua vs Ruiz fight is way different, this one, we saw a serious beatdown on Joshua and he was dominated by Usyk in most of the rounds.

So odds are 1,44 for Usyk and 2,72 for Joshua. Probably if now it was possible to make a bet and immediately find out the result of the battle, then I would bet on Usik. But I don't see any point in making such a long-term bet even on a profitable coefficient. In addition, due to a pandemic (and common causes that often arise), the battle may be postponed for an even longer period.

The problem with betting in advance is that there may arise certain circumstances which might have a significant effect on your choice. I do advance betting sometimes especially if I think that the odds will change as the day of the event comes nearer. But I also avoid it sometimes especially if a certain player is not sure to play or not.

But as to the rematch of Usyk and Joshua, I don't think betting in advance is that risky. I'd rather grab the opportunity of the odds at present. I don't think the pandemic will cause a postponement unless either of the fighters will be infected. My prediction is that as the fight day comes near, Usyk's odds will slightly fall.

The circumstances of that fight need to be taken into account, Ruiz won the first fight against Joshua but he got a lucky punch on the third that put Joshua in a bad condition, then Joshua adjusted during the second fight and he avoided getting close to Ruiz, but the most important factor on that fight was that Ruiz showed up way heavier than in the first, after I saw that fact I knew he was going to lose and I am sure I was not the only one, but the circumstances are completely different now and it seems the casinos think the same since Usyk is favored by them to win the rematch.
Once again Ruiz did not connect a lucky punch, Joshua was having difficultly with the speed of Ruiz in the first fight and he was not able to adjust during the fight and in the rematch, Ruiz messed up completely, changed fight camps and he was not in the gym training and these were public information during that period as he was enjoying his new found fame.

Meanwhile Usyk is a different breed and he is not immersed in his few found fame and glory, even if he is having issues, it is not public information and the bookmakers will take all these things into consideration and in a technical fight, there is no way Joshua is going to defeat Usyk.

Indeed Joshua have lost his face in the crowd during his fight with Ruiz and also against Usyk in their last match. No one believes in him anymore that he'll win against Usyk this time except his team ofcourse. And even if Joshua will fortunately win this time, he'll eventually lose against Tyson Fury and will definitely teach him.

I kinda excited to watch Usyk against Fury tho, these two fighters is much more entertaining to watch.

Joshua has lots his face only when he was knockout by snickers boy, but then he got it back, or turned into neutral.
In his fight against Usyk, even though he lost, he did not look lost, confused or pathetic. It was a fight where one fighter was better than other. It wasnt a beating or dominance.

In their first fight, Usyk was a total underdog (odds on Joshua was about 1.4-1.5, on Usyk 3+). In the second fight, Joshua wont be an underdog this time. I think it will be around 1.6+ on Usyk and something above 2 on Joshua.

I think on the contrary though, Joshua might still be the favourite to win his rematch against Usyk? No?

Because he has a history of avenging his defeat just like in the Andy Ruiz fight. So maybe sports bookies are going to put him as a favourite but it's going to be close.

Not sure who or where he is going to train though, or pick up his new coach to prepare him in this rematch.

Favourite in rematch after a loss? Never seen such things in boxing. In not only it was an early stoppage due to a illegal strike or cut. I think that maximum what Joshua could expect is close odds. Usyk has won not in a dominant fight, but his victory was convincing.

Changing coaches not always help. Fury vs Wilder 3 is a great example. Wilder got new coach, yet still lost; by KO. Joshua must change completely. Maybe change in diet would be a good start. If Usyk is fast, then loosing some muscles and being quicker could be a solution. And most important, more practice against southpaw.

He needs a major improvement in the rematch if he wants to regain his popularity.
In his fight against Ruiz, it was different as the fans believe that Ruiz was just lucky to hit AJ with a solid punch and that KO happened.
But here, against Usyk, it was Usyk who is the better fighter and he was dominating AJ in the fight with his good footwork and head movement.
Andy Ruiz had really fast hands and Anthony Joshua did not anticipate that coming and one thing i understood about the skill level of Anthony Joshua is that he cannot improvise during the fight and so is the reason he lost against Andy Ruiz and that is the reason he was defeated against Usyk and what changes he will bring to the rematch is to be seen.
It is true that Joshua cannot improvise and if he has to go out of the plan he had for the fight then he is in trouble, however unlike with what happened with Ruiz in which Joshua was surprised by the speed of hands Ruiz and a few lucky punches he connected there was nothing like that on his fight with Usyk, Usyk was simply the best fighter and it showed, also if Usyk had some more time during the last round I am sure he would have KO Joshua, so it is going to be way more difficult for Joshua to recover his tittles this time around.

I'm one of those who think that Ruiz can beat Joshua again in their second bout but Joshua masterfully turns things around by becoming very technical, I'm sure by now he already understands why he lose the fight against Usyk and will make all the necessary adjustments, even Ruiz Jr. was surprised why Joshua did not impose and do the things that he did against him to Usyk.
I believe Joshua can still come back and beat Usyk, he really needs this win against Usyk.

I wanted to see the second fight because we already know how can Joshua fix things up in his second match after he lost. Maybe he can also execute some good strategies and finally find a way to beat Usyk. If not, then that's it for him except the fight will end up with the official's decisions in favor of Joshua. This means they will have a high chance to have a trilogy that will gonna be exciting than the last 1st and 2nd matches.

That depends on the contract they will sign, but since Usyk is now the champion, he can also demand a trilogy in case he loses, that way he would be able to secure money for the third fight which I'm sure they'll both make a decent amount.

Fury will have to wait and hope that Usyk will win so he will not have to wait longer. josh

Having seen the performance of Usyk against Joshua, it looked pretty convincing to me who should be up next against Fury.

Can Joshua come back this time round? I doubt it, he seems to have had a tough time in that ring - we'll see, but  still I don't have high hopes for him

Definitely, we can say that he is good at his rematch because he knows how to adjust.

But this time though, as I have posted, if he still thinks the can beat Usyk, then he need to change his style that's why he was spotted in the US looking for a possible new trainer in the rematch. Someone that can see outside what needs to be done in order to get back his confidence and beat a very technical fighter in Usyk. So we will see, this is a must win for him, otherwise he will be at the same boat with Wilder.

No doubt for me too, but Usyk vs Fury, I think Fury will win the match.
Fury is a master manipulator in the ring, his skill level is on another level and his jaw is unbreakable. No one could survive the punches Wilder landed and yet Fury survived all of his punches which is unbelievable and against Usyk it would be epic if he able to win the rematch. If Fury faces Joshua, he will school him  Cheesy.

I wouldn't say that his jaw is unbreakable, Wilder already break that chin, what he has is a good recuperating power from those punches that knock him down. Maybe he has a strong neck, absorbs that punch, goes down and then recover in less than 10 seconds. But yes, we all know that Joshua will be no match for Fury's technical boxing skills and power in both hands.

Everyone is waiting for this Joshua vs Usyk re-match as whoever wins will more likely face Fury.
For sure, and this in my opinion will be a matter of more importance if Usyk wins while destroying all that Joshua has built so far.

So don't know if there will be change in results with this Joshua-Usyk II.
Can Joshua alter the results this time or not, and accept the fact?

He bounce back against Ruiz by beating Ruiz in the rematch, and now he will face Usyk again in a rematch, so let's see if he can do the same.
AJ changed his coach as he is looking to be better in the rematch, and that's another thing to watch out as he is serious, and I think he has a chance here but no chance for Fury.
Do you think Antony Joshua made a big change in his rematch in the Ruiz fight, i really do not think he made a huge change in his approach other than knowing his limitations in the first fight and the fight went the decision but against Usyk i am not sure he is able to make any changes that could defeat Usyk.

I do, I still believe that he will win against Usyk, he was the bigger fighter (though not quick enough) and he can impose his length if he'll learn a new technique under the new coach.
As mentioned is Joshua is capable of learning a new technique and adapt to the situation in a fight, Joshua showed he is not capable of adapting new techniques during the fight and we need to think that Usyk will not change and adapt to the fight for Joshua to have an advantage.

Sure. Even if we assume that Joshua will be lucky and will be able to defeat Usyk (in super heavyweights there is always a chance for an unexpected knockout), this will not change the fact that in the next match against Fury he will be an obvious underdog and such a fight is unlikely to cause a lot of excitement.

I would have watched the fights Wilder - Joshua and Wilder - Usyk with great pleasure and interest. At the moment, the match between Fury and Wilder is impossible, and Fury's fights against Joshua or Usyk look too unbalanced. Unfortunately, now we have to wait for at least a couple of not very interesting fights before we see something epic again. Taking into account the peculiarities of boxing, the wait will be about a year, no less.
