Right now I am excited to see the progress in negotiations between Beterbiev and Bivol because this is the best fight we could have this year if they won't gonna delay it. based on this source, they will gonna try to make it happen in June and I think that would be best for both of them to prepare for real war against each other.

Source

I wonder how Bivol will deal with that destructive power of Beterbiev, his few punches will gonna make him lose his defense in just a matter of 3 rounds if Bivol is not careful and ready to take those superpower punches.
I hope it happens but I am not so sure it could happen during this summer since the WBC has ordered Beterbiev to fight Callum Smith, and if the aim of Bivol is to make some more money before facing Beterbiev then he could fight Canelo again in September and then fight Beterbiev until 2024, but even if the fight were delayed I think that both of them are confident on getting the win and I do not see them ducking each other for long.

Wow, so they really trying to push the negotiation, I agree that if these one will be push, then fans will be there to support, it's a great much between two champs and we all know how both of them showcase their talents. It's more on speed and power that will ignite here. Bivol has that speed while Beterbiev has that KO power to watch out.

I like how they both will take pride defending the belts. I'll look if how Beterbiev will work with Bivol's speed and how Bivol will hold
with Beterbiev's strong punches, whether he will engage or he will find a strategy to avoid that engagement and try to win the fight
with his own way of fighting.

He should forget about the monster Inoue though, he had his chance but he blew it already. The first thing that he should do is to capture a belt here. He is now on good position as he bolster and go to rank 5 in the WBO.

Let Fulton vs Inoue fight each other, and then fight the next highest rank that is available to him.

Probably just 2 fights and he will be in for a world title again, regardless of how it is.
It looks likes WBO is also trying to plot a twist on their super bantamweight class to make it more entertaining.
There's a trend before that John Riel Casimero is really pursuing to fight Inoue like a hunter and now that he is on the same class as him, it could really happen anytime as long as he keeps on winning his fights.
I have a feeling that they will meet once Inoue wins against Fulton or the other ending where Inoue needs to prove that he can pursue a rematch for the belt again by fighting another boxer and winning it.
I love what WBO is doing here.

Yes, that is possible scenario for Inoue, and as fans we really love to see that fight as we are robbed by it, when Casimero was stripped of the WBO bantamweight belt because he can't make the weight anymore.

And we all love what the WBO has done here and Casimero  can thank them later if the fight materializes against Inoue in the future.

So yeah, for now, lets say Casimero fight another rank contender in this division and wait till he get his chance and hopefully he will do everything in his hand to fight Naoya when Inoue beat Fulton.

Inoue easily won against Paul Butler, conquering all opponents in the Bantamweight division, Inoue decided to increase the weight class. His opponent in the new Super Bantamweight class is most likely Fulton .
Fulton holds two world championship belts, WBO and WBC, is the world No. 1 boxer in this weight class. Against Fulton, Inoue will surely face the biggest and most difficult test ever.
I look forward to having a confrontation as soon as possible .

I encountered a Facebook post from the sports page that John Riel Casimero is now ranked #5 in the Super Bantamweight in WBO.

But checking the current rankings, he is still not ranked by the WBO and still, only WBC ranked him. I don't know if that's just a made-up article lol.

I would be happy if that happened since Casimero is now getting an inch closer to a possible title match.
With so many fights that will happen this year, I am sure his rank will go higher as they are all focused on defeating Inoue. New blood, they may want to have a taste of him.
Luis Nery didn't waste the opportunity to go up the ladder and defeated Azat Hovhannisyan in a TKO and now he is getting near the tile.
Casimero, as I checked my favorite rankings website is just below them.
Very soon he will be up against the top contenders and a possibility for his aim to fight Inoue or getting back his championship title.
That's interesting, if given a chance Casimero will not waste any to bring his name back on top, though it's a new division but the good thing here is he might have that chance to fight Inoue, if both will continue to win on their respective upcoming fights the chance that we might see negotiations between both camps is very possible.

Patience is a virtue here. If we hope to see that time will come for both of them inside the same ring, it's really something that might take place.

This move to a higher weight division will be good for Casimero because he had problems in weight cutting before in bantamweight. However, he might wait for a very long time before he can get his opportunity to challenge the monster hehehe. Inoue has his ambition to unify the championships of the super bantamweight division and be the first fighter to do it. This implies that if he is the winner against Fulton he will accept the rematch then he will challenge Akhmadaliev for the unification. It also implies that also this fight will also have a rematch clause.

Casimero should also first prove himself by challenging Fulton or Akhmadaliev if they lose twice each against Inoue. The problem however is Inoue might go higher again to featherweight.

He is, as per the official WBO website, and it seems it was a recent update on their rankings.

WBO recognized Casimero as he is is a one time WBO bantamweight champion and that is good news for Casimero handlers. As you can see on the standings, Azat and Nery just had their fights, so most likely Casimero next fight will be against those names, hopefully it will be against #2 Ra'eese Aleem.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is true though, John Riel was their WBO bantamweight champion, and so it make sense if the body is going to rank him higher since he is a former champion of their organization at 118 lbs.

So I do agree, if this happen then chances are he is inching closer to get another title shot at WBO belt at super bantamweight.

Gonna be exciting news for his fans.

His last fight was one of the worse things that happened to him in boxing, he is always cheated either by the opponents or the officials, and that's why the Man is always putting real pressure on his opponents to ensure that the scorecards will be to him. Now that he is close to getting another title fight, he should not act childish or have too much pride in terms of his speech because he hasn't gotten anything yet especially since his opponents nowadays are not worthy of those trash tasks which most of the time becomes the result of his negative images to the fans.

Yes, but the Korean boxing commission overturn the decision, and if I'm not mistaken, it already a W on his record colum.

It might not be the statement win that we are expecting of him in his first fight at 122 lbs, but I guess it's still a win after all. I check the recent rankings and it's no rumor, he is rank 5 by WBO and rank 8 by WBC. I think it's already good sign for Casimero to be rank already in his new division. And I do agree that he will be a contender in the future for the belt.

Wow! We had great fights this weekend. I was late to realize that the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight was promoted by GBP since the last time I saw Nery was fighting at PBC. Now Nery will have his 2nd title shot in this division and is waiting for the Inoue-Fulton winner. Nery is really vulnerable in this division.

In the other exciting fight this weekend, I'm so glad Mauricio Lara finally become the champion that he deserved already when he beat Josh Warrington earlier. Former champion Leigh Woods might activate the rematch clause though and will force Lara to return to the UK again.
I missed that fight as I was focused on the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight.
Thanks for the highlights link @Baofeng.
Damn, that was a good fight. The haymakers thrown by Lara were so scary that if it hits solid it surely will be a knockout and it did in Round 7. Wood didn't took his time and get up as soon as he can, I think that was a mistake from him. He should've rested for a bit, taken his time, rested, until he get his feet back, and did not show it is wobbly. But his corner saw it, so they threw the towel.
I know Wood could've fought more but I think that's best for him, Lara is all ready to put him down again, he will definitely not waste the opportunity.
Very big win for Lara here and finally, a champion.

Yes, it was a good call by his corners, he still wanted to fight but his legs is telling not to. His face is also full of blood while he had his time as well stopping sometimes Lara in his track, but Lara has more recuperating power and that punches he thrown is somewhat awkward but very effective because everytime Wood was hit, he will move back, sign that he is hurt. Let's see if Wood is going to activate the rematch, we love to see this 2 warriors in the center of the ring again exchanging big blows. But I guess Lara wil be the favorite again.

Yes, mate it was another great boxing war, between Lara and Wood at London.

Here is the high-lights of the fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka0O4iPp32o. He wanted revenge so he needs to activate his rematch clause, but he took damage in this fight and maybe it will be the same results. Lara doesn't care where the fight will happen again, if it is UK then so be it, the crowd and at festive atmosphere of the British fans though.

He was knock down on un steady legs, but he wanted to continue, however, Ben Davison, Wood’s trainer, threw in the towel and I think it was the right call as he safe his prize pupil from further beating.

Here are the results of the Boxing match of Wood VS Lara Yesterday, It was a great match Wood was constantly aggressive and always getting that punch inside but Mauricio Lara was composed you can surely see that he is calm and knows what he is doing he is just letting Leigh Wood inside, and do his thing, but Mauricio Lara is really something giving a technical Left hook for Woods,
