We don't know that for sure and that's another speculation that Donaire has some plans to lure him and eventually take him out of the picture, honestly I can't really think that Donaire would do such thing to his co-Filipino boxer.

It's really unfortunate to Casimero because he did faced many complications towards this supposed fight against Butler but for the 2nd time he still didn't make it and worse he has been stripped of his belt.

It's never on Donaire's reputation to harm his fellow fighter's reputation or boxing career in fact he back out in a planned fight with Casimero because things are getting nasty and personal, this is not how he fights he wants to be in a professional level, he is a role model for Filipino boxer and he wants a continuation of Filipino legacy in the world of boxing.

I guess it's competition, maybe it was not Donaire's plan, but sooner or later, they will have to face each other. Remember that they were supposed to fight, but Donaire back out. So the best thing for Inoue, is try to get back on his feet, be positive and get a good trainer. He fired his long time trainer and his conditioning coach prior to the supposedly Butler fight and this happened to him. So it's easy to fix, in my opinion.

I know that Casimero is not the first one to do it but the fact that he's caught in the act is really a heavy evidence just because there's a dumb person in his camp. The damage has been done and they should just take that as a lesson rather than making some speculations that doesn't really make sense.

Yes. There might be other boxers too that undergo that trick but just play safe and never noticed.

Actually, it's not just they were caught in the sauna but it's really alarming that they noticed Casimero's 10 lbs weight loss in just a matter of a few days. Maybe that triggers the investigation and since his camp has a video of it, it made it easy for the BBBofC to suspend him right away as there's proof.

With another delay, Casimero is now hitting the veteran age period and might become inactive for 1 year if no fight involving him will happen until August this year.  The worst is, with no negotiated fights, no reason at all to retain his WBO title.
That is expected to happen as Casimero has ruined his own reputation, then he has to face a lot of consequences, even losing his WBO title which i think is very possible. There will be no promoters who will stand on him, and that losing all the opportunities that has already been set for him. Casimero must be very hopeless this time, as not only he'll lose his title, but he will also lose his means of living.
It's very unlikely that Casimero and his team haven't know the consequences if they get caught red-handed, now that they have been caught they need to face it no matter how heavy it is. I'm quite sure that they are aware of their actions and it's never been an option to partake such things if they actually know that certain act is prohibited. It's just it is unfortunate because he can really make his name more known in the industry but now, his future is already unpredictable.

What such setup and lack of knowledge from his team.

That was really a dumb thing they did to even put their sauna session on a live feed.

There's been an alarming weight loss reduction in Casimero since he arrived in England. That all started the craze.

But I wonder, if that's really a setup, what reason/s are they planning to put the blame on Casimero? Maybe these people behind the setup are glad that things got becomes easy because Casimero's camp themselves created the violation.
One thing for sure.

They're going to do research to know those rules wherever they are and they won't do the same mistake. Casimero should focus on his own body preparation.

While the team should work for things like this but they failed.

Only speculation but no basis at all, in my opinion.
Because Donaire has no control if Casimero will not make it because of his weight problems.
So whether he is from Probellum or not, it is on Casimero's camp to ensure that he is on the right track to fight.
The promoter itself will not dictate the future of the boxer, but the boxer himself, his actual performance inside the ring.
Donaire may probably have good intentions with this initiative, but now, it seems he is receiving negative criticism because of this act.

I don't see any bad intention on Donaire's part he just tried to help a fellow Filipino, if you looked at Donaire's record he has soft spot for fighters coming out of his native land so they can continue the Filipino legacy, all blame should be on Casimero for not taking extra precautions in following the rules and making weight at the right time.
He has no recourse now but to move up he is staying in that category too long it's time for him to conquer new territory and it should be in a weight class where he is more comfortable reaching for the weigh-in.
That's the real culture I guess for these professional boxers especially if they have the same race. They're into helping each other and now, there's this news that has came out a few days ago and would likely be published everywhere from now on to different sports articles and it goes like this: Paul Butler Hopes To Secure Inoue vs. Donaire Winner

He is stepping to another level he may be an underdog and won against Sultan but these two fighters are elite fighters that he can be handed the belt to any of the two, I'm not belittling Butler but he won because Sultan is having a problem with his weight too, he is overextending his luck I could have believed him if he beat Casimero a real challenger against the two.
Well, we're going to see then if he's come to that point that any of these two is about to battle him. But I'm sure that it won't be that easy, as he says, he became a champion that quick and as well as easy.
And if it has come to reality, he's making fame and noise for his name as it is what it should be. That's the easiest way because attaching your name with any of the two sounds perfect and effective.

Too bad for Casimero and we're guessing that his feeling right now is devastated long ago when it was said that his title will be stripped from him. What such setup and lack of knowledge from his team.

To the boxing experts here, is it possible that Casimero challenges Butler? So the tide will turn and he's now the one that will challenge the champion. And if that happens, is the camp of Butler obliged to say yes, or can reject that?

Not a boxing expert but I think Casimero won't challenge Butler's WBO bantamweight belt as the weight issue/problem really persist on him. Best next move for him right now is to find a good manager or make peace with Sean Gibbons so he can go back to MP Promotion and then talk about what would be the best for his career but definitely, a move up in weight is inevitable.

IMHO, this whole thing is a setup, payback time for Probellum for that Dubai incident, don't know if they lose some money on that promotion but their integrity was somewhat questioned on that incident.

I definitely agree! I don't know either why Casimero have chose to sign under Probellum's roof as he already knew that Butler was already there first and I've read some rumor way back that this will be a disadvantage for Casimero. Nevertheless, it's really not best for him to join his opponent in the same roof. His only choice now is to move another heavier division where his weight won't be a big problem and test his capabilities there as he don't have anything to lose now.

It was actually Donaire who help Casimero to sign under the banner of Probellum.

https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/10/12/21/donaire-helps-former-rival-casimero

So does it mean that Donaire has also some intentions behind luring Casimero out of MP and joining him and Butler in the same roof?

But in any case that he has a hard time making the bantamweight then it's better for him to move up.

There is no setup here, it's that the team is ignorant of the law, that's it. I know that there is no excuses, but if I'm Casimero, I will selectively put my team members, not those who just ride on his popularity.

And as far as I can remember, they brought a good team members to help him with his weight or weight cut but unfortunately, wasn't enough. He should arrived in England at around the fighting weight.

but tbh, if you are part of the team, you should know the do's and don'ts when it comes to weight loss. such a dumb act that they even put it live giving the committee a very hard evidence. they should have not gone to england in the first place. and the last minute, they replaced him. the team is  just ruining his boxing career. we all thought that he's out of his legal mess from his country. and yet they even created more mess just before the fight. and they have the guts to go after inoue, they can't even fix himself to fight. Making peace with Sean Gibbons has a lower chance to happen compared to winning in a casino haha.

Casimero called Sean Gibbons as Gay and with the pride he has, it's impossible for me that he will go back to MP Promotions. But I'm looking forward that he will soon have his fight to start again his goal of becoming a champion.

Lesson learned, be humble at all times and don't count eggs until they hatched.

I do agree, as we have discussed many times in Casimero's career, he is very brandish now he has no belt whatsoever, sever his ties with a promotional company that help a lot of Filipino boxers because that company is own by Manny Pacquiao.

Not sure if he is back in Manila already and maybe contemplating his next career move. So yes, be humble, this is not what Filipino boxers are know for.

It's already confirmed, the WBO finally released a statement earlier regarding John Riel Casimero's WBO title to be stripped. It took them more or less 2 weeks to give a result wether Casimero will be stripped of that said title or not.

Also, Paul Butler was hailed as the champion of the Bantamweight division

More here: John Riel Casimero’s days as a world champion are over
That was easy for Butler.
