I don't know, but I think that more of an exhibition fight is more about doing an event where Myweather looks like he has more attitude, and they put Don Moore on to measure what level of strength and emotional stability he is at, if he's in the Emirates, it's Obviously the fight will take place, I can't imagine the amount of money he will receive if he fights it, it's like you say, maybe there is a sheikh who is very interested in seeing these boxers in action, for me they will measure forces organizing a very big event with Myweather, is that this boxer is very controversial and when there is going to be a fight with him, he attracts a lot of attention.

Many Fans still want to see Floyd Mayweather get into it, if he is lacking on the boxing side or still fit to fight, many are tend to be too curious if Floyd can do better on other fighters in different divisions, or if other fighters ut of boxing that he will fight with boxing, right now there are many MMA fighters that are going into boxing for an exhibition fight and many are just into the fight because of money,

Well, there are many people still interested in older boxers if they can still fight inside the ring, just like what happened with Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort, we can see that Holyfield isn't really fit anymore to fight inside the ring, and his opponent was retired MMA fighter, Victor Belfort, and Mike Tyson VS Roy Jones Jr. we can see that Tyson might still have a couple of speed but doesn't have the power in his punches anymore, while Roy Jones Jr. is fast in his feet, but the fight was a split draw,

And I will add this is the new normal now, Exhibition fights like this was a thing now, and people are loving to see this kind of thing, and I think this is right now what people want to see than with regular boxing,

Well, in my point of view, Mayweather and Don Moore can be called as a mere puppet by the Sheikh. Of course money is given on this match but the way I see it, this exhibition was the idea of now deceased Sheikh to attract more visitors in their country and benefit the near businesses and hotels where the fight will be held. This fight was delayed but that they have a new successor, the event will still happen as it's was the plan.

Both fighter's objective in doing this is pure because of money surely Floyd Mayweather would like to fight for money if his body can still do it, he will surely milk something from anyone who wants to see an exhibition match of him inside the ring with surely any possible fighter that anyone can think off,

There was going to be a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Don Moore. That was going to be an exhibition fight in UAE, but it was cancelled due to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away.

There were reports that the fight might push through this weekend:

Quote
Floyd Mayweather will proceed with his Dubai adventure.

Confusion as to when Mayweather’s previously postponed rematch with ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore will resurface appears to have been resolved, with the show back in play for this Saturday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event takes place one week after the planned May 14 show was forced to shut down due to the sudden passing of UAE president Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who died at the age of 73 last Friday.

Anyhow, this is obvious money grab for Floyd as he chooses a no name opponent and then fighting in a rich nation like UAE. Perhaps there's some rich Arab behind this fight and more money is being offered to Floyd that's why he chooses to have this kind of exhibition fights.

I really think in these crisis times even though I don't think Floyd Mayweather really needs that money he will surely be going to go there and fight whoever throw at him, in this case, who is not willing to fight an easy fight just to get money from it, in these case the fight was really entertaining and there is so much happened, you can surely see the level of a Floyd Mayweather VS Don Moore, the level of experience, technique, and style and overall I really think Floyd Mayweather was really having so much fun, taking the job of all in the ring even taking the round girls job, that I think will become a new meme, in my opinion, that was really funny and at the same time entertaining,

I really think we can see a potential exhibition again and this is a new trend that most people like and there might be some that dislike this kind of event and say that it is a joke to the industry of boxing I say the damage is already been done, from the 1st exhibition match of Jake Paul I think that has shifted some peoples interest and I think we can surely see the same fights that may occur in the future, and likely I want to see a Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva exhibition match, or Francis Ngannou VS Tyson Fury, I think that is the fight fans love and want to see,

Women's boxing is making making some more noise lately. From Katie Taylor's huge pay per view success few weeks ago to the continuing war of words between undefeated  middleweight champions; WBA, WBC and IBF champion Claressa Shields and WBO champion Savannah Marshall. News is that Top Rank's super featherweight star, the undefeated WBO and IBF champion Mikaela Mayer will finally fight another undefeated WBC super featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner. Both women are also warring in social media. So maybe their press conference will be more exciting than the all smiles Taylor-Serrano show.

And fighting with McGregor, that's a good fight as both are popular, however, I don't think they'll earn bigger than the Mayweather vs McGregor fight, but still, it's a guaranteed million dollars fight.
What about fight with the clown brothers e.g. Logan Paul and Jake Paul lol, they make a lot money by just show a circus fight. I realized there's no more fight with the Paul brothers, I think he still seeking an artist or celebrities to fight with them or cherry picking a bad boxer to prove they're real boxer.

Well that's how those two are good at, they might be clown brothers, but they are making huge money in return. So as boxing fans, we really don't appreciate those kind of exhibitions starring this two and I don't know who are buying their tickets either,  Grin.

Anycase, we will have another great fight in the calendar, Canelo vs GGG.

And then Josh Taylor vs Zepeda (mandatory), but so far there is news that this fight might be on hold for now.

Jake Paul is somehow a professional boxer but none of those bouts are impressive while his older brother, Logan Paul, was just having a hype or rumored fight but none of the recent rumors have been materialized. Honestly, these brothers are just famous because most of their fights have some big names just like Mayweather or some rumored names like McGregor and the one and only Iron Mike. Though I cannot deny that they are good when it comes to marketing and they have a huge fan base, but in terms of power, sorry I'm not impressed on them.

I like to see that fight, I think Pacquiao now has a lot of time on boxing because the election is already over and he lost. Time to get some money and since he is already retired, he can do an exhibition match against McGregor, and hopefully this time we will see McGregor getting KO.

There's still no confirmation if he wants to get back to boxing, but the only boxing that he can do is exhibition matches, whether he admits it or not he is past his prime, he just let serious boxing to the younger generation like Crawford and Spence, he should just enjoy retiring and if he wants more money he can do sponsorship, exhibitions and continue discovering new talents through his MP promotion, he can still do a lot in the background, because he is a very respected boxer and a legendary one.

Yes, there's no statement coming from Manny Pacquiao, if he will get back in boxing, that's automatic easy money for him as he can still use his popularity to draw a big fight. Even if it's about money, Canelo fighting in a professional match against a real boxer compared to fighting with McGregor will give him more money. Maybe McGregor against Pacquiao is more possible to happen.

^^ I watched the fight and I agree that it was a mismatch, Lemieux looks very small at 168 lbs and Benavidez can go as high as CW because of his height and that's why he has so much power at this division. And I don't think Benavidez can get the Canelo sweepstakes in the next fight, Canelo is going to be busy with either GGG or a rematch with Bivol. So Benavidez will have to beat the rest of the 168 lbs first before getting Canelo.

David Benavidez vs David Lemieux result:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBcfFcgN8Oo

Benavidez destroys Lemieux in 3 rounds, this dude has serious power at 168. Not sure if Canelo is willing to give him a try but Benavidez is calling out the rest of the 168 lbs including Charlo and Caleb Plant.

I guess the physically of Benavidez is too much for Lemieux, Benavidez is too tall, has the length and specially the power at this weight class. And Lemieux is a perfect fit for him in this fight and I would say it's a cherry pick for him.

I would like to see Charlo vs Benavidez next, two tough guy specially Charlo who trash talk but others say that he wanted to stay at 160 lbs and squeeze his body because he doesn't want to fight Benavidez, LOL.

Yes, that was obviously a cherry pick. I didn't even bother to watch. David Lemieux should just quit boxing or at the very least stay at middleweight.

Charlo, Benavidez, Plant and Andrade should just fight each other because they cannot wait for that Canelo lottery forever. I can feel that only the young hard hitter David Benavidez is willing to mix it up. Andrade wants Charlo and Plant but do not want Benavidez. Plant seems like trying to buy some time after earning millions of dollars from his Canelo defeat. Charlo is all talk but he is only willing to risk his undefeated record to Plant.

I haven't seen a whole lot of speculation on these boards recently about who McGregor will be fighting next.  From the looks of his body, he's been focusing a lot of his training on getting a massive upper body while recovering from his horrific leg injury.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get a UFC title shot like he wants and maybe has to resort to going for another payday style boxing match like he did with Mayweather.  That seems to be popular these days.  I'm not sure who he would face...  I don't think he wants to go the Jake Paul route, but maybe Canelo in a boxing match?

It does mean no interest regarding that. I hope so too that this thread won't be polluted by exhibition fights, especially regarding the Paul Brothers.

And technically, I don't see any connections that might possibly be connected about the chances of McGregor fighting with Canelo. If I will buy that speculation, that has a low chance to happen since after Canelo lose to Bivol, there are lots of things he needs to do first rather than fighting a UFC fighter that doesn't make sense for him.

Even if it's about money, Canelo fighting in a professional match against a real boxer compared to fighting with McGregor will give him more money. Maybe McGregor against Pacquiao is more possible to happen.

After his failure to capture the presidency of the Philippines, rumors have it that Manny Pacquiao is contemplating on a boxing return so I would not be surprised if it will be against McGregor. At an age of 42, I think Manny still can give McGregor a competitive fight in boxing and this is not very hard to promote and money will be flowing on this promotion I think.

As most fans that support Pacquaio has predicted, Manny will lose the Presidency in Philippines.

But if he wanted to make a comeback and generate huge money, then yeah, McGregor could be beneficial for him and it's going to be a win-win for both. Manny can still make fans buy his ticket even if it is an exhibition match and I think that he can still fight despite his age, the power might diminished, but the motivation and the hunger could still be there for him.

If he will go back inside the boxing ring one more time, it is better if it is via exhibition fights. At least with this type of fight, they can arrange when to stop the fight and not suffer harm on his body. At this age, he should be enjoying all his sacrifices. Even if he lost in the election, there's more life outside of politics and sports. Time to spend quality time for his family. An exhibition fight is good but actual fight, I don't think that's still on his cards now.

Yup, that fight is surely possible if indeed it is true that Manny Pacquiao will step again into the ring soon doing exhibition matches. I also heard some rumors that he and Mayweather will have a fight soon, but all of these are entirely speculations for now. This will be only answered by Manny Pacquiao himself or someone in his camp who would say that he's coming back to the industry.
