A Bitcoiner chooses. A slave obeys.
You have a good point on this. If GGG by any chance will lose to Murata, do you think he can still attract good money that he's talking about? The likelihood of getting big money is if in case, he will beat Murata. Because the fans will either be rooting for GGG or Canelo, if both will emerge as winners in their respective fights before their match-up. We can't be too confident about GGG's possible win because Murata has also a good boxing record.

I think they can still attract good money even if GGG will lose to Murata since the fight is not just about GGG. Many fans also like to see Canelo and he will be the main reason why it will generate a big money. The anticipated GGG vs Canelo III is a much-awaited boxing scene regardless of what will be the result of their respective fight, GGG against Murata and Canelo against Bivol.

Do some people here really think that Murata will win against GGG? What if Murata won by Decision but it's clear that GGG is the winner? A Knock Out win is the only convincing method for people to see that Murata is a winner.

Then it will be a shame if we are going to witnessed a robbery if Murata is declared a winner even if GGG should be the one to win that fight. But let's see, I think GGG will try to finished the fight early and will go for the knock out so that there will be no home town decision advantage for Murata and not give any chance for the judges to change the outcome of the fight and derail his third fight with Alvarez.

We don't have to worry about that because it's more like an already an assurance that this fight will not be rigged as the Japanese people have been known around the world to be fair and square. I ain't really bothered that an instances like that will happen, but we will also watch closely to it because they're also human being meant to have a mistake.

Aside from that, Murata is really nothing compared to GGG. He doesn't have any advantage aside from his age and that he will fight in his own soil.

That seems like a bit of a overstatement. Murata might not hold a candle to GGG, however this does not make him nothing. Murata has enough grit to face this out, and may even be lucky enough to win. Especially if you look at past fights like against Brant and Butler. During his last fight, Murata's 64 power punches were the second most connected by a middleweight in a single round.

Thats powerful. So I would not underestimate Murata just yet.

And speaking of robbery though, it seems that Murata has gotten the end of the stick as well:

So we will see and hopefully it won't happen to GGG in Japan. We will never know though, we still have to wait and see if judges are going to be fair. So the only way to control the outcome is for GGG to score a sensational KO.

If the fight is close the hometown decision could become a big factor, but this is Golovkin he doesn't go for the decision he always goes for a stoppage, he will grind you and expose your weakness and once expose he will hit those weaknesses, that is why he and Canelo are made for each other they know how to size up their opponents and exploit their weaknesses and stop them in later rounds, both fighters are not in a hurry they don't look for knock out they wait for it to come.

The trilogy will happen in September. The fight of GGG is just a few days to go. April to September is a long period for making the fight between Canelo and GGG to the hype and doing some marketing. Remember that these two have big names. People can see the intense training that GGG will do during that 5 months period to convince everyone that he can still match Canelo's power.

Just trust the progress. The trilogy will happen even if GGG will lose. Fans will surely like that to witness before GGG retires.

It's a tribute and many will buy tickets to watch it live or have a subscription in PPV.

So the trilogy is in the hands of GGG, I agree that he will have to win convincingly in order to secure a third fight, otherwise if he losses, Canelo might not be interested because it could be just a one sided win for him and maybe his critics will say that he just beat a old GGG in the third fight.

The trilogy between Canelo and GGG will still happen even if the latter will lose his fight against Murata. The reward money is reportedly something that Canelo won't resist. It's an easy big-money for Canelo knowing GGG will be considered as weak if he loses against Murata. The problem is if GGG can't beat Murata, what face he will show to Canelo. GGG instead might back out, not Canelo.

But our topic won't be reached into GGG losing the match. Fair and square, I can't see something special to Murata that he can use against a much more powerful GGG. Knock Out or Decision, GGG will win their match and I will give a 90% for that to happen.

1st: Yes, their fight will still happen even if GGG will be defeated on his fight versus Murata, if ever. But surely their trilogy attract many viewers as that won't be interesting anymore because we can already predict the exact outcome even if the fight is under negotiation.

2nd: Please provide some link that somehow show or tells that the reward money is something Canelo won't resist as it was an easy big money because I'm searching it through internet and I can't find it. Anyway, Canelo cannot really resist this time but it's not because of the money but because he signed a two-way deal that's saying that in-order to fight Bivol, he too should go for GGG after Bivol. So, a trilogy is really inevitable.

In order to make the fight attractive, they have to win both of their fights and they have to win it in a decisive fashion to attract the boxing community for their trilogy, a loss with anyone of them, casts a shadow on their capability to give the boxing fights a fight better than the two previous fights, legacy and huge money are at stake if both fighters come out fresh from
wins.

Golovkin is fully aware of that, between the two Canelo is the one fighting the best fighters in his division and conquering territories, while Golovkin is either on a long layoff or fighting low-level fighters, he really needs to show something to get the attention of the boxing community, the promoters and the organizations, so there's so much weight on this, on the other hand, if Canelo win or lose the fight can still fight Golovkin and it will still generate a lot of interest.

I bet Golovkin should be aware of that because its maybe hard to say but his boxing fans are looking forward for him to win against Murata via KO. Maybe this man GGG might be in a lot of pressure right if he just knew how his boxing fans speculating about his upcoming fight and also the expectations about the end result of the game but then he must know it on the other hand because he should know that he must take this fight seriously so his fans would be satisfies to see a trilogy between him and Canelo.

I think GGG is already aware because aside from his own fans, there are other people who's also watching on his moves now if he could really defeat the Murata who is 4 years younger than him. There are many people who hopes that GGG could win this fight and see that he is still a beast in the ring, there's also other people speculating that GGG will be defeated in this fight. Nevertheless, he knew that he's on constant pressure now because of the trilogy.

^^ I disagree though, well it depends on how you look at it, GGG just stays in his comfort zone at 160 lbs and clean up the division. But Canelo chooses to go up in weight and chase other belts. So it just a matter on how you look at their careers, GGG could be one of the best in the middleweight, maybe comparable to Marvin Hagler which for me is the GOAT on that division.

The promoters might give GGG his trilogy against Canelo only if he gets the victory versus Murata dominantly and convincingly.
If that's the case then I would already expect a GGG vs Canelo Trilogy as there's no way GGG would lose to Murata. Sorry Murata Fans, I just don't see your fighter powerful enough to beat GGG, he maybe older but the power is still there and I'm afraid that we might see a KO win by GGG.

That's what everyone is expecting, GGG winning against the Japanese by a KO or at least a good decision win, by dominant fashion.

@OP

I think you can now remove this thread on the 2nd post.

It's been said that there's no Paul vs Tyson that shall happen. It's final and all of the discussions that are found are just for the speculations despite the validation of Tyson's staff that this really won't come to reality.

Butler and Casimero's fight is about to come as well and I think that shall be the replacement of the said thread quoted. It's near to happen and just a few weeks around.

^^ I don't think there will be no pressure on GGG, he just needs to be himself and just be the aggressor and fight as usual and for sure the KO will happen, if not then a UD is not that bad. The fight could have been made even if GGG loses, but maybe the organizers knows that GGG will not lost or the chances are very slim so that they already committed to it.

Aside that it is what everyone is expecting, GGG also really needed to win via KO or a UD with great gap in scores against Ryota Murata so that a trilogy would be compelling to see and Canelo would be threatened or at least make it as a challenge rather than just winning by a UD with a small gap of scores.

We know that's a burden to hold in GGG's part but he really needed to win this fight so that his calling for a trilogy in the past few years would not be in vain, especially now that the trilogy is now in his hands and the last thing he needed is to take a huge move forward.
