Thank you guys for all the replies.

But I have to locked the thread as Crawford has won the fight. Hopefully we will see him fight Errol Spence Jr. next.

Agreed. I am not certain why there are some people who speculated that Terence Crawford’s next fight would be versus Keith Thurman. Shawn Porter is higher in rank than Thurman and they want Crawford to fight the lower ranked boxer? I shake my head.

Thurman's rank drop because he wasn't active, but Thurman is better than Porter because he beat Porter via unanimous decision.
Also, Thurman has a decent record with 29 wins and 1 lose only which is coming from Pacman, so I think Thurman is really a tough challenger.

If Crawford will not fight Thurman, Ugas is also waiting for him, maybe he will be next.
Yes Keith Thurman has been inactive for a long time after losing to pacman which saw him drop down the rankings and lose his WBA title, maybe Crawford's next fight will be Spence Jr because he wants to, or it could be Ugas.
Or it could be Taylor because if he wins against Jack Catterall it could be the next Crawford fight, we'll see who's right for the next Crawford fight.

Crawford now has the freedom to choose a promoter that would grant his request to fight anyone he wants to.

After the fight in an interview, he announced that he will not be renewing his contract with Top Rank.
I would say it's a good decision so he can dictate who is he going to fight, question now, which promotion will he work with? or will he make his own promotion just like Mayweather and Pacquiao did when they were still active?

The boxing community have a huge problem because fighters who are the best in their weight category and wants to fight each other cannot fight because they have different promotion and their promoters cannot agree on the percentage of the sales and who should get the lion's shares, gone are the days when the best only fought the best because there are no hindrances, now we have 4 to 5 promotions and they want to keep it in the house for huge profit for promoters.

Arum maybe is busy thinking about his business not the future of the boxer.

Similar to Errol Spence, Crawford’s next fight should only be for the unification. This is where Bob Arum made his mistake. He was busy thinking only about his business? Top Rank will not be included in the superfight between Spence and Crawford.

Terence Crawford leaving Top Rank: “Bob Arum couldn’t secure me the Errol Spence fight, I’m moving forward”
It is sad to see anther good boxer retiring when His age is just very fit to extend fighting but of course this is His decision to be respected.

On the other hand , Crawford is changing place and with this His dream fight against Spence will come to reality.

yet the fight is very close as i expected, though I am confident about Crawford winning this fight yet Forter shows greatness and almost Beat Him .

Both Crawford and Spence have no formidable challenger but themselves in that division even Ugas cannot beat these two fighters they should make the fight happen, Crawford is planning to move up and challenge worthy opponents there, Spence could become the undisputed champion in the welterweight with the absence of Crawford but people will doubt because he has not fought a legit welterweight great in his era.

I stopped watching the fight at the end of round 7 because I had to attend to something. Up to that round, I really thought Porter was winning on the scorecards. I was actually surprised in the end when I reviewed all three judges' scorecards that it was actually Crawford who was winning from round 1 to round 7. Was it Micky Ward the other commentator who did the unofficial scoring? If I'm not mistaken, Porter was also the winner in his unofficial scorecard.
I also thought that Crawford will lose this fight but to my surprise it is Him that won on the end , a very close fight opposite to what he claimed to be His dominant the  whole event.
If this will be given a rematch I'm sure Porter will take the win no doubt about that.

Next year would be the biggest fight for Crawford since he already beat everyone that will lead him no choice but to fight Spence. They need to make this fight happen as soon as possible without going for a complicated negotiation which will delay the fight for more years. Those fighters are getting old and their promoters need to consider that.

On the other hand, that was a nice try for Porter, it's just Crawford is on another level for him.
Exactly, there should no longer any hindrance to set up a fight with Spence. And now that he is a free agent, he can talk to Spence manager directly to make the fight happen next year. Hopefully though, there will be no issues like the split of the purse or something, this could be a 50-50 fight, both getting what they deserved.

Majority really did think that Crawford will be too much for Porter. Although we love Porter because of his fighting style, Crawford is just the better fighter.

Crawford said in the post fight interview that he doesn't think the fight was close.

But here are the judges scorecard:

87-84, on Max De Luca - Crawford
Dave Moretti and Steve Weisfeld, 86-85 Crawford

So still it is a very close match, maybe we could see a split decision.

Let's hope to see Crawford and Spence Jr soon.
Arum maybe is busy thinking about his business not the future of the boxer.

This fight has to get done, Arum is such a big failure as a promoter for not letting it happen he even promises in the media that the fight will happen, but Crawford is right when he says that he cannot secure the fight when he is under, now that he is out he doesn't think he can, promoters should have a talk to get this fight, both fighters wants it.
Crawford's plan is to move up if the fight cannot materialize.

Well since is he no longer with Arum, for sure the fight can be made next year.

There was also an option for him to go back down to 140 lbs and face the unified champion in Josh Taylor. But I'm not sure if Bud can still make 140 lbs. Going to 154 lbs might be a dangerous move as one of the Charlo is the champion there.

And it's better for him to fight Spence first before he move up or move down in weight.

What's next for Crawford then? Looking for him to compete next with the best-of-the-best after this winning against Shawn Porter. Watching it live yesterday (at my time), we can see already on the early rounds the distance between these 2 fighters.

Kudos to Shawn Porter though that he try to keep up with his phase. Crawford is just too much to handle.

If he no longer signs with Top Rank and be a free agent then a lot of fights could be made.

But we all know what we wanted, a Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr, for unification of the Welterweight division and to see who are the best.

Both are undefeated, and still at the prime of their careers and this could be the biggest fight in 147 lbs since Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao.

I'm just seeing Crawford's victory blazing over porter's face  Cheesy
His gonna beat him to a pulp in the ring as he usually does   well i believe since they have fought countless times together in the ring, then maybe,to my own discretion, porter should be able to realize his weak points and aim harder for victory this time around

not anymore, porter is already retiring from this sports. he is done with boxing after this crawford fight. but i can say, porter had a great performance in the first rounds as he was somewhat leading. but he got tired and crawford made his strategy worked.
though some are saying not a good way to retire after the loss, but look at pacquiao with ugas. i guess, the boxer himself knows his limits. and no matter what their fans are saying, they should stand their ground and leave the sports in decent exit.
