For me , i would choose both Btc and Eth for 2018. You may invest in bitcoin and at the same time in eth . This is for practical way , if Btc is not good in 2018 then Eth will be good and vice versa
I stick to bitcoin for 2018. There is not some specific reason for preferring BTC, actually I like both coins.
If this correction or crash whatever you call it ends somehow we can start talking about who will increase most. Apart from this usually they follow each other’s trend. When bitcoin goes down ethereum goes down too. Therefore investing in any of them will bring close amounts of profit. To say which one will be better , we need to see who returns to normal first.
of course bitcoin because the parent bitcoin of all types of coins. there will be no eth if there is no bitcoin. so bitcoin is the best it's my opinion 
I guess eth or btc are both very strong in May 2018 but btc is the strongest since it is king of all currency coding!
The same thing both bitcoin and ethereum for buy in this years, we know both them bitcoin and ethereum now have low price and be better to save our money and keep in on the bank, will be save and far away from lost our money if we put at the bank than we buy bitcoin or ethereum now, their price is not good and don’t have good potential to be high in the next time, stop buy bitcoin or ethereum now.
I know this topic is old or new. So many of them here, they won't even remember each. And everywhere as in one opinion to differ. But I just have to leave my IMHO here. Alt, alt, and alt. Because bitcoin is stable and calmed down and it is unknown when it will again please with jumps

I think Bitcoin showed all this fall that without him this market can not prosper and he index of the whole market. BTC or ETH in 2018? BTC!
I think both coins are great for investment in 2018.
For bitcoin I expected to go again down to $6000 which Will make double bottom and then growing till the end of year when walue Will be more than $20.000.
This Will bring all cryptomarket up to arounf 1 trillion or more.
ETH Will grow with bitcoin too. In % for sure more that bitcoin because of lower value.

If you want to buy in to the most proven cryptocurrency with the most developer support, bitcoin is the better of the two currencies. It’s the most expensive out there though and its transaction fees are high, so if you want a big return on what you’re putting into it, you’ll need to have plenty to spend and be patient
I do not have extra money. If I had enough money, I would invest in the ethereum. It seems to me that bitcoin will be falling for a very long time.

In2018,I think both are good investments but I choose the BTC and it will rise for sure.I will choose bitcoin because the potential bitcoin and promises will bring a lot of profit, I believe that by the end of this year bitcoin will recover and the price will reach $ 20000.
I think since BTC is so low right now and still the biggest and most well known, its potential growth will be bigger than eth.

i think both will increase at the end of this year. some investors predict that bitcoin will go to 40,000$+ and Ethereum will go to 3000$+ dont know whether it will happen or not but have some believe about both of this Bitcoin and Ethereum
Eth because The future of ethereum contains a lot more hopes than Bitcoin does. Creating another Bitcoin is much easier than it is creating an ethereum that is running efficiently. We have many other coins that are working better as a peer to peer transfer of digital currencies like Litecoin and Vertcoin. We have been seeing Bitcoins dominance in market cap dropping down and with Ethereums market cap going up.

I think tether is the place to be for 2018. Bankers are here now. The game has changed for the worse. They will now control crypto. You buy crypto with dollars. They print the dollars. They are in control.
