Both are the leaders in this space. I would diversify and have both. One is your strongest store of value the other though a store of value and platform, can go a long way.

I think both will rule 2018 amidst the crisis it is currently facing right now. We may see the two as a coin that is slowly fading, we can't still conclude it and tell the world what its future gonna be. Bitcoin and ethereum are the top cryptocurrency of the preseng and we should expect more from it as we approach having the world to legalize both currency.

Even though ethereum is slowly showing its potential, I will still choose bitcoin in 2018. Bitcoin has proven a lot of things already and I find it enough to make me stick to it even though its price is quite low at the moment. I believe at its capability but that doesn't mean I won't invest on ethereum, I will.
of course both coins have good potential for long and short term. in the highest of course the bitcoin is always top of the other coins, with ethereum now people are wearing it because its value yag can still be obtained easily with good price everybody can buy the ethereum. so both are very good to invest. good luck .

Personally, I think that there will be a rule BTC. But ETH also a very promising and promising coin.
I think the price for eth will grow faster than at btc this year. That's why I would invest in eth.

In the year 2018 finally answered that bitcoin ranked first. The prices rose so rapidly from the previous year but the etherum did not lose. Because etherum is in the interest in various circles. I think both eth and btc coins have good potential in 2018. In terms of dominance i will choose bitcoin but for ROI i will pick ETH.

It will always be Bitcoin. There is no chance that Ethereum or any altcoin will rule the crypto world. It will be a disaster if it happens. But if you are talking about profitability I think Ethereum will get more percentage of profit than Bitcoin in terms of Fiat value.
I think this problem should be viewed from two perspectives, the first currency perspective and the second blockchain technology application perspective. From a currency point of view, Bitcoin is a real money system, with a fixed total amount (21 million), and the total amount of Ethereum from the monetary point of view is not fixed and can be increased as needed. Therefore, the ether is not Cap. Bitcoin will continue to deflate in the long run, while the ether, like the current legal currency system, will continue to deflate. So from the perspective of cryptocurrency itself, Bitcoin will continue to add value, while ether may not necessarily (mainly depends on his circulation).
