It really depends on you,if you already got the knowledge of trading then it is better to go with altcoin trading and it will give lots of profits in short term but we need to pick the right coin to make profits. But in ICO anyone can make profits not skills needed but we need to pick the legit ICOs because most of the ICOs are scam only for money earning purposes. But ICO give more profits than altcoin trading with short time of interval.
But both investments are riskier so invest the amount which you can afford to lose.

I always think ICO is riskier, coz these tokens may not be even on any exchange, this is kinda scary.

It completely depends. If the ICO is getting alot of attention due to it having good technology in it or maybe having a star-studded development team, then ICOs are definitely less risky and more profitable. If you're quite experienced in trading altcoins and you have proper risk:reward ratio management, then definitely trading altcoins.

It just completely depends on what ICO you're investing in and what altcoin you're trading, and how good you are at it.

I know all depending the person, how good they are and the quality of ico and altcoin that you like to trade, but in general i dont agree ico is less risk. I think ico is high risk and high return too so thats why choose between ico or trade altcoin is depending how much risk that you can afford.

The level of risk will be depend of the analysis and risk management. Day Trading need more times than make invest in ICO, and if you dont have full time to make analysis in technical for the better focus to make investment in ICO because in ICO we can get cheap price of coin and also promising high return like 10 times profit just a few month. By just learn fundamental of the project and build risk management will promising big return from ICO.

Which is more risky buying a token from the ICO or in trading?

Both are risky and will be needing a great guidance to ensure that your investment goes well and you will surely earn or gain from what you invest.

although both are risky, I think my suggestion will come to trading because we can make a nice profit if we can do analyze coins before we buy and we can choose more than one coin to make a profit. although we could have lost in trading, as far as I know, our money will be recovered in the future and the price will be increased. but it is different if we cannot analyze the coins or if the coin gets delist from the exchange or the dev is run away and not continue the project, we can get a big loss because of this.

Not even close buying in ICO is 1000% time riskier because you don't know if it will come to market or not. On the market you know the coin is there the only thing you must consider then is will this coin go up or down from now?

Which is more risky buying a token from the ICO or in trading?
I guess either of the two is okay,It's based on your personal Bias.when you do your due diligence and research well, you would have all reasons to relax your mind and take some chill expecting your investment to yield huge returns either in the long or short run. Their some Projects in their ico phase that would bring you Huge ROI so as they are some Alt coins trading with Huge Returns as well,It's all based on how much and how well you can research.
I think both are at risk and the level of risk varies each person. yeah i think it will depend on your skills also in doing research. if you're good at doing analysis in both, why not choose both? would not that give you a big profit ? the most important thing is you can do the proper financial manage for yourself. how to divide money between ICO, trading, save, etc.

If the ICO is good enough and worth the investment then investing in ICO is more profitable but you need to choose the ICO with the most potential out there and not just any other shitty ICO.

To get the most profit, you should buy ICO, but you have to choose the most potential ICO, because most ICOs are risky.

It's most safe buy token from ICO (If you do the correct research to select the correct ICO). But, if you  do trading you must to dedicate a lot time to do it. But the better way to invest is buy tokens in ICO (The correct ICO) and HOLD for long time good projects.

Well both could being profitable, and both involve some risks. Trying both of them is your best choice, but you have to read carefully about any project and check its website and team before investing in their ICO. Also you need choosing the best altcoins to trade, since there are many shitcoins.
It will be better to invest if you're already sure that coin will gain success since the trading price might be higher than it's ico amoint, but if you can't decide whether it's a sure hit better see it progress when it is lisyed soon on exchange.

Which is more risky buying a token from the ICO or in trading?
I think buying a token from the ICO has more risky than trading but both of them are better for the near future because once you jump in trading it have possibility to double your profit. If you want to participate in ICO you must know about it and get some research to avoid scam. You are might to join a campaign if you know if it's true by look for a good project and good team.

I personally prefer to make ICO investments rather than doing tradding, the reason is because ICO investment results can be profits many times over.

Actually even joining a proper bounty campaign can help you to earn 600-700$ a month if ever the project succeds. Mostly 90% of the ICO projects turn out to be scam and the remaining ones really give a lot of profits for the early investors. Also trading with altcoins can be profitable if you have good knowledge about trading and the coin you are investing in. According to me, a lot of research is required for trading because buying at the dip and selling once high is not that easy work. Risk remains the same in both according to me.

IMO, ICOs are much riskier, since you have to trust developers that already have the money, and nothing to lose.

In trading, it's you and the market. You just need to learn and constantly update yourself to increase your chances.

Both are risky but in my own opinion ICO's are more risky than trading. Risky because it is still new and it will take time before you could profit. There's also a chance that you'll get scammed if you don't know everything about the ICO company turning your hard earned money into nothing.
