No, bitcoin can be tried to ban, but technically it's impossible to organize.
It is not possible to control, and therefore punish for using it.
Hence the ban is absolutely meaningless.

And what will be if bitcoin and mining process will be announced illegal tomorrow? I think this is one of ways how to ban BTC and altcoins.

I guess nobody want to have problems with government and police. Bitcoin mining is easy to track if somebody needed (I mean government offices).

So, it's hardto ban bitcoin, but easy to make it illegal and control all processes, isn't it?

Yes, but not necessarily be banned from users who loves crypto currencies. Bitcoin has gained a lot of respect from the community and I think maybe it will be banned by the government, but users will not stop from using it.

Can Bitcoin be ban?

Well, in a country the government can ban the use of Bitcoin but the effect will be limited since they cannot completely ban their citizens from using it. The ban will just reach the local exchanges but the thing is people can still buy btc outside their country. So technically, it cannot be banned since it is decentralized and no government can have control over btc. The best approach for them is to regulate it through the exchanges instead of banning their people from using it since they cannot stop them either way.

Once we know what sort of political/financial power is in the hands of those owning the asset class, we can predict the limits of political restrictions that can be imposed on that ownership.

Yes, but to stop bitcoin lovers it requires a replacement that can be used as a place to earn the same income.

I'm sure government could try to ban bitcoin but all they can really do is stop exchange in their own country. Bitcoin has no borders so a ban would be very hard to inforce.
Yes government can ban bitcoin but they will avoid such foolish steps because they know well that bitcoin is helping them to reduce unemployment to some extent and help its mass to earn good amount even when they are not having a regular job. It makes the mass able to earn good amount and raise their living standard. Those countries which have banned bitcoin are actually scared of the fact that bitcoin is going to push their currency down.

Only the government is against the crypto currency, especially on bitcoin as its value keeps claiming the Everest once in 3 to 5 days. Bitcoin team always experiences struggles from the govt. Now they are used to such moments of govts. Now bitcoin team is so strong and on the other side bitcoin has reached so many and enriched their lives, bitcoin will never get crashed or banned.

Well bitcoins can be banned by a government but keeping people away from bitcoins is very hard and as in bitcoins transactions user's identity is anonymous tracking people who use bitcoins is almost impossible. Also bitcoins being decentralised government wouldn't be able to ban as they can't control bitcoins.

Of course bitcoin can be banned in fact there are some countries who actually do it like Chine, Russia and Indonesia it is because legality issue of bitcoin was not yet settle up to this time and many countries fears the capability of bitcoin to manipulate transactions without any trace to check. Government are afraid that bitcoin can hide illegal activities that's why they decided to ban bitcoin transactions

No, all things regards to the company and management of bitcoin are legal. Therefore they comply in all requirements of the law and follow it;
that is the reason why the government give them juridical personality and has a authority to operate.

It can be banned. The question is if it can be blocked.

Many things are blocked by the great firewall of China. But can/will that happen elsewhere? Hard to image - especially since many people would be motivated to engineer a workaround.

bitcoin may be banned by a government in a country, but people will not take much notice of it and figure out how to use it.

Can Bitcoin be ban?

They most certainly can, but we can always use VPN's and TOR so we can still use cryptocurrencies without being detected.

Due to its anonymity it can't be easily ban. Everyone who are using bitcoin are anonymous that is why it is hard to track those transaction. If a country wanted to ban bitcoin totally, they need to close the internet.

Can Bitcoin be ban?
It is possible that Bitcoin will be banon some countries by their government because they does not trust and believe in Bitcoin. Bitcoin in some country are still new so they think that it fraud and scam so they will limit its use. Well it was only natural to government to protect its people if they think it was not a good thing and will make its people suffer. But lets hope that it will not happen that they will ban Bitcoin because they lack the information about Bitcoin.

If the Govt people involved in Bitcoin then their wouldn't be a ban, but in most cases no one can ban. The only reason ifar banning is to get taxes, every country has different rules so some countries can put ban easily.

If anyone or any country can control Bitcoin totally I think Bitcoin is possible to be banned. For now as I know there are fews countries banned Bitcoin for long time ago and anyone use Bitcoin in those countries will have to go to jail for at least 6 months. But it's really hard to find out Bitcoin user identity cause Bitcoin transaction is almost anonymous.
