But I would be interested in how you answer the question of whether free games can be considered gambling. Another way to put this is: can gambling be free? Do free games excite you as much as games that involve betting money?
Are  you risking anything by playing such free games? Are there any consequences involved if you lose or win them? If there is none, then I would say it's not gambling. However, if you are playing free games against other people and despite not having money involved, you still agree a consequence for the loser, I consider it to be gambling.

For an example: you are playing cards with a friend and you decide that who loses the game will have to wash the winner's car. It's a friendly gambling, but it's still gambling anyway. There isn't money involved, but there is a kind of service rendering in counterpart which replaces the monetary factor.

I don't believe that free game  can be seen as real gambling, you already know why it can not be taken as real gambling. Take from the English dictionary, gambling is "An activity characterised by a balance between winning and losing that is governed by a mixture of skill and chance, usually with money wagered on the outcome."

When you don't wager money in gambling which you will either lose the money or win back a double of what you wagered, then it can not be classified as real gambling.

If you play free games on gambling sites it's just a gateway to getting accustomed to putting your money in and liking the process even more. For sure it is gambling.

If you wanted to play games to pass time there's card games without even the possibility of giving money but also many just for fun games. Of course these games can also be addicting and a huge time sink. So many things will generally battle for your time and money, it's not just gambling.
yes, as you have said. I can't deny that and I experience that free gambling games are the beginning to real gambling. that is their or the game maker's way of advertising to get lots of users. On the other hand, even free gambling games have limitations, we cannot continue to play games for free. We are required to buy a number of coins to be able to continue playing.

In other words, we can play offline games, but the games contain several advertisements, this is quite annoying for users

But, if there is not any "real prize" (likewise demo version of casino games), no you're not gambling you're just trying a game.
Apt.

And this is also different when the person is participating in a gaming competition where there is a prize to be won. It despite the reward at the end if the player emerges in top three according to the terms of the competition it is still not gambling.

I don't know if this makes sense but I had to think about it in the light of a group of friends who organize a local tournament for a card game, or board game.

Another way to put this is: can gambling be free? Do free games excite you as much as games that involve betting money?
Free and paid gambling are very different, that's a fact, you like to gamble for free when the balance in your account is empty, try if your account balance is high, let alone winning, surely you will say that gambling on certain types of games is fun, because I can win a lot.

Whatever you do on a casino site, there is nothing more fun than betting for real, to make money from gambling, that's the point.

Thus anyone who comes to gamble, they definitely expect something to fight for, it's free, there's nothing to fight for, it's just a waste of time, so whatever the reason is, real gambling for me is more accurate and enthusiastic.

In my opinion, something that can be considered or referred to as gambling is when the activity has two possibilities, either losing or winning, and must also have an element of harming one of the parties, for example like gamblers and casinos, when a gambler wins because he is lucky, for example, then The casino will suffer a slight loss, and conversely, when the gamblers lose, the casino makes a profit.

But if this type of game only has a winning and losing system but does not have any element of harming either party then I think it cannot be called gambling (including bonuses from casinos, demo accounts), because gambling is an activity that should be detrimental to someone. one party in any form, such as losing personal money due to making an unprofitable decision, and also meaning that gambling cannot be a free game, in essence there must be one party who loses something they have in any form, generally such as money.

As long as you'd be suffering from the consequences of losing then that would be a form of gambling. What makes an activity a form of gambling is simply the concept of reward and consequences, as we all know. You could be betting on something with your friend such as events and the likes without involving money but if part of the guessing game is a reward, perhaps the winner would be treated on a snack, then that's gambling already. Another concept to consider is contrast of opinion and the two or more parties are willing to stand firmly on that viewpoint. We are just confused of its idea that it should be involving gambling but if we would be loong deeper, there are other things as counterpart, of either winning or losing, which is associated with gambling. Not a bad thing already, it depends on how much you would be attached to the idea that you are embracing the risk and chances because in such way, addiction might become present afterwards.

A game can be said to be "gambling" when you bet something on it, for example money or chips or other things of value. If you don't bet anything on the game, it means you are just playing a normal game, because you have nothing to bet on. So if you say that can a free game be gambling? it could depend on how you treat the game, whether you bet your money on it or not, it can be gambling or not.
And personally, gambling is more interesting and exciting if you put money into it. If you don't bet anything of value on it then it won't be interesting - because gambling is fun when you can win and double your money.

Yesterday I played free card games on the computer and had a lot of fun and it was also quite exciting. You know, I play different games: both paid and free. And sometimes, based on the fascination and the pleasure I get, I find it difficult to say which games captivate me more. But I would be interested in how you answer the question of whether free games can be considered gambling. Another way to put this is: can gambling be free? It depends on what your motives are; if you're driven with an interest of getting some few bucks afterwards, you already know you'd have to fund and wager with real money. I know about an application that you could lunch and play real card games but then, the best part of it is that it's not a casino. For the fear of not getting enticed to try out with real funds, so many people could decide to avoid it completely - especially since they can't afford to lose a dime since all they just want is to have fun.
For the best part, IMHO, since it's totally free, it doesn't feel like it's a gamble.
Yes and no. Actually, card games without betting money, strictly speaking, are not gambling and people play very differently when they don't bet any money than when they bet money. But also many houses offer the possibility of playing with play money (fictitious chips without real monetary value) so that many people who at first do not dare to bet money, try to play with fictitious money and many of them end up depositing and betting with real money. So it is like an intermediate step, like a warm-up for real gambling.
I don't think he was really referring to any casino house games whatsoever ... I do have a good idea about the virtual funds though.

When you gamble, you stake or risk something of value with the hope of getting some better in return if the outcome of the game is good. But here, you staked nothing, no risks involved and you still got no reward after winning aside the fun you had. This means, the free card games you played cannot be said to be gambling as they are not related in any form.

Free games can be  very exciting, sometimes even more exciting than the ones you paid where there are no much emotional attachments involved. Since it excites you that much, we cannot also say its gambling because of the reasons I stated above. Call it whatever you wish to call it, but that's not gambling.

Do free games excite you as much as games that involve betting money?

Even though I'm not putting in any money to play, I still consider it gambling. Gambling comes in many forms, but when it comes to free games, I see them as demo games. These demos allow new gamblers to practice and test strategies before playing for real. Even though I get a similar experience playing demos as I do playing for real, I don't get too excited because I'm just practicing until I move on to the real thing. Things like bonuses and free spins excites me just like the real gambling but I know very well that im not putting my own funds.

No it can't be considered as gambling when it is termed free. It is free because you are either not paying money for playing the game or that the agent has decided to award you with free game maybe you have been gambling with them and this is especially in board games like billiard or snooker, table tennis etc. But regards to the content of free game, no it is not gambling. Gambling involves staking of money or other valuables to gain or profit from it. So at the end of free game, you don't get any profit neither would you also lose from the free game.

Another way to put this is: can gambling be free? Do free games excite you as much as games that involve betting money?

If it is called gambling then it is not free. You have to involve money or other valuables for it to be called gambling.

However, free games can excite non gamblers or those who are not gambling addicts but for an addict, he prefers to make the free game a gambling by betting money on it.

For me, if the game doesn't involve money then it's not gambling. But solely for entertainment since you didn't risk anything. It only requires your time, it might be entertaining but I don't find it exciting.

On the other side, it's quite different if you enter the game using free spins/bet from the casino. Because even you didn't spend money from your own pocket, the fact still remain that there's a money involve which can be a reason for a player to become hooked and eventually become addicted once he/she lose control.

Occasionally I do do this, my friends and I always play online games and play together, but every now and then boredom strikes me and my friends playing card games with a fair penalty of crossing out using ink, which adds to the excitement of the card game being played, however We don't involve money here. Games that are said to be gambling are probably games that involve money at stake and for games that don't involve money, I don't think it's gambling.

with so many free games it is quite exciting, but the challenges are different from when using money as a bet. and maybe that depends on each of our views as to whether or not the games involved are more exciting, I myself have tastes and can choose which games are fun involving money and which games are fun and which don't involve money. Sometimes there are games that promise to pay us when we have reached the target set by the owner, but I don't think that's completely true, even though there are some games that are free and can make money, I think they must have certain conditions.

In gambling, something must be at stake. It could be money, time, service, or other things. So when you just play games for entertainment without losing or gaining anything it can't be considered gambling. I usually play some computer games with friends and family members and I can tell you that I enjoyed those moments. But the fun of gambling is different for these normal games. The risk involved in gambling makes it different from other games. The suspense, uncertainties, and joy of winning money cannot be compared with free games. Even when you use a bonus or free spins in a casino, there is a different feeling because something is at stake.

Of course, an alluring game is a game where there is money at stake if there is no then you will not feel the sensation of gambling.

Quite simply if there is no money at stake then it is not gambling... Although there are many free games that are just like gambling games.

Yeah,,, it could be that free games can be considered gambling if you play in a casino and they give free bets then the prize can be claimed if you win the bet.

So what does it mean to play free games in a casino that is called a demo then it's just a simulated game.

I have always been of the view that one of the elements of gambling is that there is something at stake. If in a round of the game, you don't have anything to bet on but you get something in return, that's called a prize. You might see a casino running free games or events without you betting and you can join in.
no gambling is free. Even though initially you get free capital from the casino and you bet it on games at the casino, it's still not free gambling. free gambling may only be played on a demo account.

Absolutely not.Free games can be entertaining when you have no money to spend on real gambling but they can never offer the thrill of the max win if you hit the max win in a slot machine with huge multiplier like x50.000 your total bet for example.I also like free games but the ones where you can win real cash, kinda like poker tournaments where you are playing against many other people simultaneously and if you happen to survive near the end you are the one who win some money, this kind of free games of course excites me and also shows if I am smart enough the longer I manage myself to survive.

Playing free games just to kill time is the worse one can do as that is losing time without any real intention or goal and that is the worse one can do with his time and life.

We have to define the meaning of gambling to answer this according to Britanicca.com this is the meaning of gambling
Quote
What is gambling in simple words?
gambling is the betting or staking of something of value, with consciousness of risk and hope of gain,
So free games cannot be considered gambling because you are not staking or betting anything, there is no risk to talk about, if you're a gambler who's been gambling for years it will not excite you because you get used to taking rewards when you're winning, and there's a feeling of void because you will not get or lose anything.
If you're not a gambler, it could excite me knowing it's all just for fun, so as a gambler, free games will not excite me.

Free game? It's a free bet and you can get real money or just a free game a dummy/demo. If it's a freebet, then it's yes because there is something value (money) to be gambling. If demo, then it's not because you are not losing any money. Free bet gambling even you are not gambling money, still consider gambling from my perspective because it's a tactic or promotion for you to triggered (deposit) because losing the money from free bet even you're not spending anything.
