It can be so annoying seeing all those shit coins/tokens in your wallet, any ways you can only send them to random address as you said or better still send them out to any body willing to keep waiting forever for better days on their market

Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy
Why are you wasting Gas doing those transactions. It is best to leave it in your wallet because it will not affect you at all, maybe one day those tokens will be valid.

Some people love order more then anything and is worth to them way more then a bit of gas. Probably better would be to send all good tokens to fresh wallet and leave useless behind on wallet he still have aces to for just in case.

I would suggest doing otherwise, you never know which one will ever go up and will worth something one day. I had a coin that stayed dormant for 3 years, three whole years and it didn't worth anything, it wasn't listed anywhere and it was basically all around totally worthless for three years, not even 1 satoshi because it wasn't even listed.

One day someone else took over the project and did some stuff and networked and so forth and that coin suddenly started to worth 40 satoshi, that was one of the greatest comebacks of any coin I have ever seen after such a fall and I sold them over a thousand dollars and even made a profit. Don't get me wrong that rarely ever happens but considering it doesn't cost you anything to keep them there, it makes no sense to get rid of them. Worst case if you want it for just the looks of it, get another wallet and put all the worthless ones there and keep your original one clean.

It's better to just leave them . It's wasting of double effort. You will use your eth as gas to send out worthless tokens. I always leave them in my own wallet.

deleting tokens from wallet cannot, it would be more if you just created a new wallet, don't make difficult the real easy thing..

Sure, you can send them to whatever address you want, but why? You'll use gas for no good reason... I have about 10 dead tokens, i really don't care. I just ignore them.
transferring to another wallet is a waste of work and throwing away money, ignoring that is much better..  Grin

You can only delete the token from the list on your wallet not from your eth address, if you really want to get rid of your tokens you need to send them out to unknown address

I think it's possible, but why do you have to pay ETH to be able to move these invalid tokens? I think that is not a smart act. Just leave the tokens there, I believe it will never hurt your wallet

Makes sense, thanks! I just wanted to clean it up a little in the Etherscan drop down, so I don't need to search so much for tokens I care about

Trust me, you are just going to spend some dollars for nothing.
Before I had that same problem with my ethereum address which made me feel uncomfortable because I want to see instantly those with value.
I got like 50 different tokens which was earned from airdrops before.

Better not waste your ethereum for gas. Just let it be. Soon, you will just know what to ignore and what is not.  Wink

I believe he is talking about Meta Maska or MEW or some other wallet interface.

I found a tutorial here about how to hide the tokens you don't want to see anymore.
https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/pull/4482

There is no need to spend gas sending them.

Every bounty hunter should have to take a look at this guide which can be helpful for you guys to hide your shitcoins without spending any money. Cheesy

Thanks for the link, I didn't know it before.

Just let them I have over 100 shitcoins in my main wallet and if I have some time I checked these shitcoins if they are listed in exchanges and some of these coins are listed and I dump it to get rip of it, don't lose hope on these shitcoins they might have value in the future even small values.

Yeah you can do that but of course you have to cover the fees if ever there is, so its better not to move it and no more fees. There are coins/tokens like this and its true that we feel annoyed every time we saw that useless token, but we can’t do about it and let’s just admit that we just waste out time for that token and stay it on a wallet but if you don’t mind the fees then do it.

You can move these tokens to other addresses, but I believe you will have to spend money to make transactions. If you don't want to burden others, just create a new address and send the entire shitcoin there.

Of course you can send shitcoin to the address 0x00000000 without having to burden you, but it all must be done with sufficient gas costs.
And why don't you keep it for a long time because shitcoin can also be of value if one day, but it's up to you what you want to do.

Definitely, you're the owner of your wallet now, you can do whatever you like with the dead tokens.  But according to the second respondent, you may need not waste your precious gas on those useless or decorative tokens, if you're using imtoken for example, you can just disable them instead of wasting gas on them.

If you don't wanna to burden anyone and just create a new address and send your coins there or try to send it to the default address, a lot of platforms have already used the default address to burn their tokens.
It's better to send them all to the default address.

You can send them to oblivion send them to your enemy's address, but who knows two years from now, that shitcoin will have value, I have seen that happen on some few shitcoins get a spare address and put all your shitcoins there, but of course that would means spending gas for those shitcoins, but you can spare some for gas if you don't want to see this annoying coins.

You won't be burdening someone with this method, if you send it on an active address you'll just make the user curious on why he/she have randomly received cryptocurrencies in his address of course there is a chance where your wallet address will be posted online seeking to find answers why this address have sent them free crypto, if you don't care if someone knows your address then go for it. But if you don't want that to happen the best thing to do is to create a new wallet where you will send your shitcoins in.

I guess you already have to know the answer and that's the only way to get rid of those annoying dust tokens that came from airdrops or whatsoever giveaways.
You can now lock the thread to avoid repetitive answers.

You can not remove those useless tokens but you can try to sell those tokens in forkdelta if there is a bidder, or you can make a new wallet if you really annoyed those useless tokens.
