Technically speaking, no, we cannot delete 'dead' coins in our wallet like it is a social media account that we no longer use unless it is ERC20 tokens, maybe? Kidding aside, as what have been said on thr earlier posts of other users you can send your coins into unknown addresses but their would be a gas money which would be some kind of a hassle. I suggest keeping them as a remembrance. You are not the only one being in such situation. I also have many dead coins, and I doubt others don't especially those who are here for years already. Most of the dead coins I have, are from bounty projects way back 2017 before the huge decline occurred. I have no choice but to keep them with quite of a hope that those coins will have a value someday, if there would be a miracle which would lift the market in general. Selling those coins would be a waste of time at this moment. You would rathet get a 'loss' than earning profit from doing so.

Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

If you are talking about ERC20 tokens, yes, you can delete tokens that you do not want in your wallet. But I do not understand why you want to do such a thing, although it is a terrible project, it will not make much sense to delete it. Maybe one day those tokens you delete will inflate like balloons and then you will feel regret, who knows. I do not recommend you to delete it but if you really want to do this deletion, you can delete it by sending your tokens to the address I have specified below. I would like to remind you to check the balance of the burn wallet address I gave before performing the deletion and that you will lose your possible earning opportunity in the future. Maybe the balances in this address will give you up for deletion.

Sure, you can send them to whatever address you want, but why? You'll use gas for no good reason... I have about 10 dead tokens, i really don't care. I just ignore them.

I believe he is talking about Meta Maska or MEW or some other wallet interface.

I found a tutorial here about how to hide the tokens you don't want to see anymore.
https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/pull/4482

There is no need to spend gas sending them.

Thank you! This is great, but I should have clarified in the OP. I was looking to remove them from my wallet address when I view it on Etherscan. In hindsight, of course this isn't possible and it looks like the way to get rid of them will be to send them to a dead/unused wallet. Although the transaction fees might only add up to a few $, I think I'll avoid and save my ETH.

Thanks everyone!

In my wallet, there are few dead tokens but i can't delete anyway. Probably you can't delete tokens from wallet. You can only send dead tokens to other wallet but it needs gas fee which is boring for you and your time waste. You can keep them forever in your wallet.

No mate. That's not possible rather what you will have to do is create another wallet address, send tokens you wish not to see in your main wallet to the new address by so doing, you get to see only tokens you want in your main wallet. There's no option to delete or remove tokens on the blockchain aside transferring it to another wallet address.

Yes! you can by sending them to unknown addresses but as you can see, this method requires you to pay some transaction fees. this is the only method that works. But keeping them in your wallet would be a good idea cause what if their developers will continue the project 5-10 years by now? that would make the price of their dead token pump and what if their price became like the other top altcoins in the market? and you have a huge amount of it. that would make you a millionaire in no time. If you are annoyed by looking at the huge list of shit coins in your wallet, better to make a new one and preserved that old wallet maybe you can just open it once every 6 months to check.

You will have to spend ETH to pay the commission. but if these coins disturb you then, of course, you can do it. I don’t understand why people want to do this. you can simply hide these coins in MEW and not see them.

Makes sense, thanks! I just wanted to clean it up a little in the Etherscan drop down, so I don't need to search so much for tokens I care about

I think the better solution is to use a new (safer) address for your ETH and leave worthless ERC20 tokens in the old address. That way, you only move your coin once.

Or you can set your wallet to not displaying your worthless tokens; in other words, your tokens are still there but not displayed.
