Yes. There are many new wallet launched everyday by scammers there motive is just scam people's so it's better to choose old and trusted wallet.
The correct thoughts that I fully support, now you need to be constantly on check, you need to constantly check the information that comes to you, because there is a lot of deception.

Hi everyone, I found a service announcement of new wallet platform few days ago in our forum.
Their introduction and vision stated in the post seems to be great and it also attracts me a lot.
However, I still wonder whether I can trust that new wallet.
Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only?

Please help me if you have experience in this field. Thank you.
This is the link to the wallet that I mentioned: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.41338130

I think there may be cases like that, but it mostly involves third party cases like hacking or your e-wallet details being stolen via, for example, enrolling on bogus airdrops, which is actually made just to steal wallet information. I have experienced that latter-mentioned situation happen to a friend when he enrolled in a "scam" airdrop. Therefore, one should really secure his wallet address and make sure that it is kept safe either offline or in a data storage device that is away from the internet. However, most people say that it's better to hold coins in exchange sites rather than e-wallets.

The wallet problem is very serious. You should be careful and keep it safe.

I very much agree. The wallet is an important  matter and of course you can EASILY lose all of your money by choosing the wrong wallet since so many of them can be scams.

You can loose money in any wallet, it easy, now hackers dont know borders! I think the most safe place it hardware wallets.. all cloud wallets not safe

The truth is that cold wallets are safer than hot wallets, but there are two weaknesses when using cold wallets.
1. You can not sell early compared to other people when prices surge
2. You can lose a cold wallet if you forget it somewhere, this can not happen with hot wallets

Definitely! Choosing the wrong wallet or sending into the wrong one will make you lose your tokens. Specially since most blockchain transactions are irreversible, That is why before sending you are prompted for many times for confirmation before you do something else. Also, you can lose your tokens by getting yourself hacked through your private keys being exposed to hackers. So keep safe mate!

Yes, it’s very very important to use the right wallet! ideally you want something that:

-give you private keys
-frequently updated
-hard to hack (web or desktop not so good)
-customize transaction fees
-strong team and long vision

so based on these criteria, I suggest my fav wallet, Trustwallet! (which even got acquired by Binance!)

If you mean getting tokens via airdrops&bounties, so you usually need any ERC-20 compatible wallet, like MEW and so on.

Yes there are a lot of phishing wallets out there, make sure of the wallet you want to use. We cant afford to lose hard earned money here.

Yups better to use local wallets that supported ba government,or by the securities and exchange commission

From this we can feel the safeties of our money, but in some point those popular wallets is advisable but the fees and the policies are not the same as what local wallets offered
Can you give an example which is the wallet that has already supported by the government or securities and exchange commission? man, you don't even know about what are you talking about? They are related to the legal support and there was no government or SEC that support crypto wallet. this is a joke

Of course that will happen, because it is explained that, if you send coins to a wallet that does not support the coins you send, then automatically, your coins will disappear forever. So be careful, if you do not know or do not understand, it would be better if you just ask those who understand better

Please be sure the wallet is secured and guaranteed before you start using because some could be scam to steal users coins. I would suggest you wait a little and check for its app reviews. If after a while the review is above 4.5, then you could consider to use it because we are talking about we putting assets on the wallet here and one needs to be more careful in that case.
Thanks.

I think you should not use this new wallets because not many people know about it and you can lose your coin. Why do not you use the old wallet? I think it's still good to store coins   .

I recommend that you use more wallets that you can download to your PC. I do not really trust the security of my wallets. I think they are much safer and have a much better security installed wallets.

For me, nothing wallets is safe now because those hackers and scammers do there all tactics to hack or scam such wallets, so dont open or view always websites in what wallet your holding to avoid visibility to the hackers. Keep all your important info of the wallet your have, those scammer/ hackers is everywhere in crypto world.

You can lose your money only if you don't know what are you doing. Even the wallet was chosen in a wrong way, you should know how to protect your account, money, etc.

Obviously you can lose your coins for trusting a new wallet which doesn't have any previous track record. There could be a hundred problems with the wallet and you wouldn't know. Also the wallet would most likely still be in the beta phase. That's why I would try to avoid new wallets.

Yes if you're not carefully reading the instructions. There are many reasons why many tokens are being steal because they loss or give their private keys to others.
