Cardano still probably needs a year or 2 before it becomes significant and threaten ETH. Cardano is still untested by the public. Look at recently hacked or bugged ETH-based tokens recently, the problems with POS etc. Problems arises thru time and with Cardano, we're still unsure about it. Yes it may be technologically better than every other coin out there but we still need for it to stand the test of time and the public.
I agree that Cardano is a very promising project both in its idea and in terms of technology, it surpasses most cryptocurrencies. But the project has one significant disadvantage, recently there is very little news about the improvement of the coin and its success, while competitors conduct hard forks and network updates. In any case, the development of technology takes time and after a few years we will know who was right.

yes you are right thread in 2018 and now 2019 on the other hand what is meant by OP actually I do not see that cardano threatens ethereum, even ethereum is still insignificant, especially with cardano? really not threatening, even the price movement is more slow than ethereum.

What can yo expect? 2018 was a bad year for all coins, not only for cardano.
However, it seems not possible that Cardano will beat ETH at the current standing, ETH is still at no. 2 while cardano has not improve in ranking, instead it went down and got replace by other coins.
I am not kidding you Cardano could be the Next big thing! Even Google are asking questions because Cardano is a giant KILLER! Imagine a search engine where advertising revenue is distributed to coin holders: Think about it! Who would use Google? Not me!

Cardano is currently 14 cents approx! It was 1.20 when BTC peaked!
This is an unbelievable opportunity. They are going to roll out debit cards and ATMs in the future amongst an array of many exciting projects. The CEO of Cardano is ethical and what is in the roadmap will be honored! I can’t say the same for other coins!

How could they put ethereum down if the market price says it all? even if the cardano's technology was better than ethereum, it is the ethereums market that makes it stand out of all the cryptocurrency except bitcoin. We can expect much competition further.

Is this possible? ethereum is the best altcoin even though at this time it hasn't fully recovered, but I'm sure there are still many who support this coin and the team involved is also solid and I believe ethereum will be able to last long in the future as the best altcoin
I personally doesn't agree if cardano is threatening ethereum right now, even with the total supply of cardano that has way more than what ethereum has, but in term of market volume, it still far away in closing the level of ethereum. So it would be impossible for cardano to get close to ethereum right now.

Cardano is developing a smart contracting platform that offers more advanced features than any previously developed protocol. Cardano is a big threat to ETH. With its superior features it can overcome ETH.
I guess it may happen, because people believe in new technologies and features which will benefit to them. But overtaking eth is quite difficult as it is very popular in the market. But still there's no any specific news about cardano's move. Let's wait and see.
I like Cardano and I love Ethereum. In my opinion Cardano ugrazhaet the Ethereum he only threatens whales which lowered the price.
I think ETH will always be in the position of ICO king for at least two years, not only because of its ease of use, but also because its user holdings are huge.
I disagree with your submission about Cardono, though ETH platform always have issues to deal with but it will very difficult for Cardono to replace it in terms of applications and even at now many developers still prefer Ethereum platform to any other blockchain platform.
It is funny how low we now see ethereum and think that just any and every coin threatens it. Yeah, cardano seems to be a great coin, but I don't think it has gotten to the level where we would say that it is a threat to ethereum. That's one big lie. It's already trading in many exchanges, so it's "out" to some degree.
I don't know nothing about this project, I've heard "Cardano" name for first time today, but I heard about ADA, mainly good things.
Not that I'm shilling for this project, but when it's fully out it may be to late to jump into that boat.
Even the biggest journey starts with the first step etc.
We still cannot conclude that ADA Cardano threatens ETH but if we look at with their technology they are far better than ETH, and if we look turn back the time a years ago when ETH is on the rise there are many experts that don't believe about the ETH's performance and it can't be on the top. So let's wait and see what will be a good response to ETH team about the Cardano's breakthrough.
Ethereum is an already formed platform to which a huge number of users have come through. I think that the Cardano coin has chances to compete with the ethereum coin, but they are not very significant.
I personally don't believe that Cardano may threat ETH, what are the actual reasons? Currently it has like 10% of ETHs cap, why should it grow 10x?
