Alt of @hugeblack

Thanks, @Rikafip, for another monthly statistics report.
I see that the Nigerian board is doing well and perhaps soon we will not hear a complaint from them.

One of the members of the Indian board has messaged me saying that they need merit source, but it seems that I need to visit that board once per week. If there is any trust account from the Indian board who wants to help in preparing a list of the best posts weekly, please PM me on my main account.

And I can't believe that I dethroned slackovic and finished the month with the most posts in the Croatian local board. I was second last month. I wonder if slackovic will allow me a 2nd consecutive 1st place finish. Cool
Yep, that's not something that happens often in our board, someone being ahead of slackovic. Your next goal could be to retain the title for another month.  Grin

For the Indian board it all started when our only merit source Heisenberg_Hunter distributed merits in the first week of Oct after two months break and probably this is his highest numbers of merit shared if I am not wrong.
You are right, 318 merits shared in October is the all time high for Indian board and by quite a big margin as your 2nd best was February 2020 when you shared 210 merit.

When you promised some cookies, I still went there to visit. But, as I've never seen those cookies...  Roll Eyes
Haha, it was my take on that "come to the dark side, we have cookies" meme.  Wink

Thank you for the wonderful analysis and overview, my friend.
Glad you enjoyed your slacking.
Now, I have to update my own overview!
I would have enjoyed it more if you didn't finish your overview so quickly. I really have to up my game for the next month!

Thank you, @Rikafip, for another comprehensive monthly statistics report. I don't want to nitpick, but I think you're missing the "Merit senders and receivers" chart. You posted the "Merit/Post ratio" chart twice.
You are right, I shared that one twice. Anyway, thanks for the heads up and its been sorted now. I guess that's what happens when I hurry.  Tongue

Well... it's even easier in Italian, if it weren't for Portuguese being a language that comes from Latin. I can almost speak Portuguese.  Roll Eyes

I promise, I'll try to get through there. I think I've been there before... but I'll go back.  Wink

I'm starting to think I have a problem, as I wasn't expecting to have 300 posts in October just in the Portuguese tab. Lips sealed

Something strange happened in Indian board as they somehow managed to have 55% percent of posts that receive at least 1 merit which is the highest percentage I saw so far, esepcially since their usual number is much lower and it its around 20%. It would be interesting to hear someone from that board how they managed to achieve that and is their post quality increased that much or something else caused it.

This boost has given sMerits into every active members in Indian board and and the board has been a ghosted for a long and in the last few months members try to keep it active as much as we can so that we tried to encourage posts that has some contribution related to Indian crypto community.

In Jan 2023 Indian board contributed only 50 posts from that position it somehow grown to 369 in Oct.

Another strange thing is Active users (atleast 1 post) : Increased from 36 to 86.

It's nice to see that the forum's activity is on the rise again following months of the activity going in the opposite direction. As for the Polish board, we made quite a big jump in all merit-related stats. This is largely due to this post, in which me and other members of the Polish section received large amounts of merits earmarked for the purpose of spending them on our board. Combined with a drop in active members and posts, this converts to higher ratios.
Thanks for the explanation of your sudden increase of the merit shared.

From what I can see on Merit dashboard, in the first 10 days of this month only 7 merits was shared in Polish local board and that fall is expected given the reason of your increased merit, so maybe you should consider using one of the merit giveay threads to submit quality posts until you get your own merit source. It helped us when we were undermerited and it can definitely help you too.

Massive thanks for the update! It's always an interesting read.

At the same time, polsih is not that far ahead but it is kinda normal for less active boards to have higher percentage of merited posts.

THank you Rikafip

just updated the local race chart
Damn you are fast! Overview updated, cheers!

Finally I was able to enter the top 10 list on the local board.
Grats. Since indonesian board is one of the most active ones, no surprise that it ain't easy to finish in top 10. Then again, the more active local board is, its easier to write more posts.

Chart lovers rejoice, its time for yet another brief monthly overview of the local boards activity but this time a little bit later than usual. All charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space while images are uploaded via TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk made by @joker_josue.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet and that's somethiong that I hope will change soon. @theymos @Cyrus, what are you guys waiting for?  Smiley

Post activity per local board during October 2023

During October, 22105 posts were made across 18 local boards which is a significant increase compared to a September's numbers (18741) which is a 18% increase and iirc one of the best results in a while. I guess combination of summer being over and market looking better helped with that increase and I hope it continues the same in the months ahead.

When it comes to the most active boards, no surprise there: Russian is still far ahead the other, with Turks at the 2nd and Nigerians at the high 3rd spot. It is unusual to see German board being the 6th most active one as they were in the top 3 for the majority of time I nam doing doing these overviews and I hope that they can recover.

Like at the top, no changes at the other side either with the standard three names at the bottom.

Local Board post race

Animated local board post race chart, courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during October 2023

In the above mentioned period 1504 members wrote at least 1 post on one of the local boards which is a noticeable increase compare to a month before and 1355 active members. Once again Russian local  board had by far the most active members, with Nigerian at the 2nd and Indonesian at 3rd.

Its important to mention the Nigerian growth as at the begining of the year they had less than 90 active members and now that number doubled, with the tendency to keep increasing while Indonesians are not doing bad either in that regard.

Local board members per amount of posts during October 2023

When it comes to the percentage of members who wrote only 1 post in their board during above mentioned period, Indian is the leader with 71%, followed by Romanian (64%) and Greek (55%). At the same time, Croatian has only 14% of such members while Nigerian and Indonesian share the 2nd least with 21%.

Regarding the 2-9 posts bracket, Polish board is the leader with 56%, followed by Bangladesh (46%) and Russian (43%) local boards. Likewise, Greek local, board has ther lowest percentage of such members (only 9%), followed by Romanian (18%) and Portuguese (19%) local boards.

In the 10+ posts bracket, Turkish board is the leader with 50% of such members, while Portuguese is 2nd with 49% and Nigerian 3rd with 47%. At the same time, Indian board has the lowest percentage (13%), followed by Romanian (18%) and Polish (22%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during October 2023

During October, 10296 merit was shared across local board, which is a slight increase compared to month before ( 9835). I have to say that I thought increase will be bigger than it was due 18% more written posts, but this is a still good number and i will take any increase. After all, only a few local boards still struggle with merit while majority are in a pretty good situation.

Once again Russian board is at the top, but this time Indonesian came really close and 2097 merit shared in a month must have been their recors so far. I know that @hugeblack was helping them lately (and other local boards that lacked merit) via his thread but I think someone else might have started sharing merit there as well. Another positive surprise is Indian local board that had only 56 merit shared in September while last month that number increased to 318 which is a very good result.

Regarding the boards that had decrease, German board used to be higher and even overtook Russian board for a coiple of months, but for whatever reason thjey dropped below 1k which is still ok givenb their number of posts.

Merit/Post ratio per local board for October 2023

Since both number of posts and number of merit went up (with number of posts went up more), generally speaking there's no big diffeence compared to previous month. What is noticeable though is that 12 month average ratio is higher for many boards than the last month's which is not a good trend. But, even with that, merit/post ratio is still pretty solid for majority of boards, while some like Phillipines could definitely use outside help.

Regarding the boards with the highest ratio, for the first time ever Indonesian is at the top with an 1.24 ratio, which is even more impressive considering their activity as smaller boards like Arabic tend to have high ratio.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during October 2023

Something strange happened in Indian board as they somehow managed to have 55% percent of posts that receive at least 1 merit which is the highest percentage I saw so far, esepcially since their usual number is much lower and it its around 20%. It would be interesting to hear someone from that board how they managed to achieve that and is their post quality increased that much or something else caused it. At the same time, polsih is not that far ahead but it is kinda normal for less active boards to have higher percentage of merited posts.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during October 2023

During the above mentioned period, 555 members sent the merit across local boards while 655 received. Compared to September's numbers (517/552) that is a slight increase which is not a surprise given the increase in the amount of merit shared and the overall oncrease of post activity.

Merit per transaction across local boards during October 2023

And the last in this series of charts, merit per transanction so we can get a better idea or each local board meriting habits. Once again, less active boards are at the top but the most active one (Russian) is not that far either.

The most active members per local board during October 2023

Last but not the least, in this month's local  board overview, list of the most active member per local board as they are the ones most responsible for keeping their local boards alive. As per usual, joker_josue from the Portuguese local board has been the most active with 306 posts, followed by Smartprofit (287) and BVeyron (237) from Russsian local board.

Dear @Rikafip
I am finishing this month's overview as we speak so you can expect it either tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

I blame myself for making these last few overviews on time, instead slacking as usual so people don't expect it so early but I mostly blame fillippone because he published his overview too early, putting pressure on me.  Grin
The expectations are very much high. We came here to check all time to see you if the update has been dropped but no avail. Today is 16th November 2023. My expectation is even dieing down. Probably fillippone work load is not much as yours. Even our local board update is not dropped yet. Though the analyst said he didn't travel with his laptop so when he comes back then the update will drop. I really appreciate your efforts this is not easy.  To gather data from all users is not an easy task. Well done.

Nigerian Board is running fast!! Congrats!

@bitmover thanks you for the acknowledgement. We are trying in our corner though we are not competing with fillippone (Italians) and Russians and any other LB but doing things on our own way. We are really growing rapidly and that is why we need Moderators, and Merit Sources to complement the board. On behalf of naija LB, I appreciate Rikafip and President fillippone and other prestige members in the forum for their support.

You know I like well-done work, but I cannot wait forever.
Well played sir, well played indeed! You slacking lately got me complacent, looks like I have to up my game.

Get back to work, thanks.
On the contrary, now that you beat me I can embrace my tendency to procrastinate fully and take it easy.  Grin
