Chart lovers rejoice, time for yet another brief monthly overview!  Cheesy All charts and table are made with the help of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bengali) don't have their own local boards yet but I hope that's something that will change in the near future.

Post activity per local board during June 2024

During the last month 14230 posts were written across 18 local boards that are part of this overview, which is a noticeable drop compared to May 2024 numbers (16597 posts). Since summer came and people have beter things to do, this drop was kinda expected and imho nothing to worry about.

Among the local boards, Russian remained by far the most active one, folloed by Turkish and Nigerian who both had a considerably fewer posts, while Indonesian and German close the top 5. Regarding the bottom 5, we see more or less the standard names while its worth the mention that the only local board who had increase compared to the month before was Italian (not by much, but better any increase than decrease).

Local boards post race

Courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during June 2024

During June 1287 members wrote at least 1 post on one of the local boards which is expected decrease compared to May during which 1356 members were active. While top 7 and bottom 5 remained almost the same, this decrease of active members has been spread across almost all local boards more or less evenly which indicates similar forum habits.

Local board members per amount of posts during June 2024

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Romanian local board is the leader with 67% of such members, followed by Indian (55%) and French&Spanish local boards that both had 43% of those members. In the same bracket, Croatian had only 11% of those members, followed by Indonesian (14%) and Nigerian (16%) local boards.

In 2-9 posts bracket, Russian and Indonesian boards are leaders with 53% of such members, followed by Croatian local board with 50%. At the same time, Pakistan had only 14% of such members, followed by Spanish (23%) and Portuguese (24%) local boards.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Pakistan is the clear leader with 55% of those members, followed by Portuguese (45%) and Italian (40%) local boards. When it comes to local boards with fewest percentage of such members, Polsih is the leader with only 8%, followed by Romanian (11%) and Indian (13%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during June 2024

In the above mentioned period 5919 merits was shared across local boards that are part of this overview which is a big drop compared to month before during which 8364 merit was shared. This drop has been shared across almost all local boards, with Italian board being the only one among the more active ones that managed to share more merit than month before.

It is also important to mention that month before (May 2024) we had a big increase compared to April 2024 (~30%) so this drop means that more or less we went back to those numbers so situation is not as bad as it seemed at first.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during June 2024

An average merit/post ratio for all local boards that are part of this overview during June was 0.53 which is a lot lower than during month before (0.69) which was expected considering the decreased amount of merit shared.

What didn't change though is the name at the top, meaning Romanian board being far ahead the others with once again very high 1.98 merit per post, followed by Arabic (0.9) and Spanish (0.86) local boards. Just a reminder that suich a high merit/post ratio is not so unusual for less active local boards like Romanian as a few good posts that receive a lot of merit can drastically increase the whole board's merit/post ratio.

Regarding the names at the bottom, Phillipines and Greek board stick out once again. While Greek board is among the less active ones so its not a surprise, Phillipines board is consistently among the more active ones so I don't think that having such a low ratio is good representation of their board quality.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during June 2024

During the last month 456 members sent merit in one of the local boards while 572 received merit which is an expected decrease compared with May numbers (540 senders and 663 receivers).

Once again few other local boards managed to have more merit senders and receivers than Russian board despite having feweer merit sent and much smaller boards (which was something that didn't happoen in the past) while Pilipinas board also had a a lot of merit senders/receivers relative to the amount of merit sent.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during June 2024

An average percentage of merited posts across 18 local boards during June was 21.7 which is a drop compared to month before percebtage (23.55).

Once again Romanian local board has been at the top with unbelieavable 75% of merited posts (30 out of 40 posts received merit), followed by Spanish (34.Cool and Arabic (29.22) local boards. Regarding the bottom, this time we see a change as Greek board managed to have even lower percentage than Pilipinas which is something not easy to achieve.

Merit per transaction across local boards during June 2024

An average merit per tx across local boards during June was 1.83 which is a surprising increase compared to month before average (1.78). The thing that I find interesting is that this time local boards that were nowhere near close to the top when it comes to merit/post ratio are at the top here as usually its the opposite and somehow more logical (at least to me).

The most active members per local board during June 2024

Last but not the least in last month's overview, list of the most active members across 18 local boards/threads.

After few months being out of the top 3, this time we have joker_josue from Portuguese local board back at the top with 200 posts, followed by two members from Turkish local board at 2nd and 3rd spot,
totti67 with 186 posts and mandown with 185 posts. Congrats guys, kepe it up!

I took a break from writing the comments.
It was actually something I liked: try to build a "story" behind the numbers, is something where lies a lot of added value to this kind of reports.
Bit of course it takes a lot of time.
Yeah I can definitely understand you getting bored of it as you put crazy amount of time in those texts.

My overview has nowhere near as detailed/interesting/inspired as yours so it makes it much easier to continue in the same fashion.

I don't know about you, but writing that commentary is the biggest pain in the ass for me. It’s nothing special, and it’s short (unlike yours), but after a couple of years, it’s become tedious to write.

This new comment-less format takes almost one hour and an half to make. Commentaries added at least another hour and half, or even more.
If you feel exhausted, take a break, and add commentaries back at a later stage.

Not that the tears of the pizza contest have finally dried, I could work on your post to extrapolate the graphs for my local board overview.
We really have to step up for the next year contest and start thinking out of the box as competition became serious and I can only imagine its gonna be even tougher the next year.  Wink

I steered to a more synthetic comment, glad you stick to the usual commentary style! I know how much hard work is behind that.

I have not applied for the merit source but one of the known members of this forum has applied.
Yeah I know, by "your" I meant Indian merit source, noy you specifically.

LOL! My mistake in understanding the reply  Grin

One of the things I noticed is that he usually approves merit source applications in bulk and only after merit shared drops down significantly and since that hasn't happened yet, I think it won't happen anytime soon so prepare yourself for a little bit longer wait.
Understood! It is how things work but that will make our local board dry. Recently @hugeblack did shower merits to those topics or replies that were significant to the topic. I urge all the global merit sources to give some eyes on the Indian local board.

We discuss our issues and problems in English. It won't be an issue to understand the discussion if a simple Google search about the topic can be done, thanks.

I am the one who is trying to help him in getting the application approved by @Theymos. I hope he finds time to look into this graphical representation of the local Indian board and approve the application.

Last but not the least in this overview, list of top 10 members across 18 local boards/threads. Regarding the overall most active members, this time top 3 comes form the same board (Turkish), namely totti67 (288 posts), verbakalim (265) and mandown (229). Kudos guys, keep it up (and wake up joker_josue)!

Congratulations to the TOP 3 and to all the local tab users who stay active!

I wasn't far from 3rd place...  Tongue
But, things have been a little calm on the sides of my local tab. Fortunately, we increased the number of merits compared to last year.

Instant cryptocurrency exchange with own reserves!
I knew that I was a top poster of my local thread right after the end of the month. But I was surprised and didn't even realize I wrote 28 posts monthly. The main surprise is that people almost stopped participating in our local thread, which is the reason I was the top poster with only 28 posts. The 2nd guy wrote only 16 posts, and it's disappointing. Thanks for the chart Rikafip. Thanks to Crypto Library as well who also make stats for our local thread only. I hope local members will get motivated from these stats and continue to contribute to the local thread.

I can't believe what I am saying but we have a new king in our local board and vegan gambling industry won another battle!  Shocked
Yep, it doesn't happen too often that someone outspams slackovic on our board but it is  welcomed change.

Honestly, I'm a bit in shock, not only did slacko lose with such a big difference, but he even fell to third place.  Shocked

True, your already low merit shared dropped even further in May, so hopefully ymerit source status gets approved soon. In the meantime, it woulnd't be bad to use one of those merit giveaway threads to report posts from your local board.

Big fall down for our old king and he wont be able to recover from this terrible defeat.
Dunno, it might happen very soon as our new king has been slacking lately, probably enjoying Malta's beaches (or wherever he is atm) too much.  Wink

According to the report it seems merits are a big issue on my local board.

Finally! According to the report it seems merits are a big issue on my local board. The activities are still okay but with a local merit source it can be increased. Lack of merits is the main reason why a lot of Indian members are active on the global boards than on the local board.

As I promised few days ago, here is yet another overview of the local board activity and this time for May 2024. As in all the previous one, all charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space.

Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards as of yet, which I hope changes in the near future.

Post activity per local board during May 2024

During the last month, 16597 posts were written across 19 local boards, which is a slight decrease compared to April's numbers (17438). Summer is coming, and people are spending more time outside, so this decrease is perfectly normal and expected, as it has been in previous years.

Among the local boards included in this overview (with a few missing due to inactivity), the Russian board remained by far the most active, followed by the Turkish and Nigerian boards, while the Indonesian and German boards closed out the top five. As for the bottom of the chart, the same names appear once again, which I don't expect to change in the near future, although the Bengali board might climb up, as it was more active not too long ago.

Local boards post race

Courtesy of bitmover

Active members per local board during May 2024

During the above mentioned period, 1356 members wrote at least 1 post on any of the local boards that makes it an expected decrease compared to month before (1423). This decrease was observed across all the local boards, with only the German and Turkish boards slightly sticking out regarding the decrease.

Speaking purely about the numbers, Russian remained the most active one but Nigerioan and Indonesian looking good too, especially the former whose growth in the last year or so has been unbeliveable.

Local board members per amount of posts during May 2024

When it comes to the members who wrote only 1 post, Indian local board is the leader with exactly 50%, followed by Bengali (45%) and Spanish (42%) local boards. At the same time, Croatian has only 10% of such members, followed Pilipinas (14%) and Indonesian (15%) local boards.\

In the 2-9 posts bracket leader is Indonesian local board that had 55% of those members, followed by Romanian, Polish and French local boards that all had 50%. In the same bracked, Portuguese had only 16% of such members, followed by Greek (17%) and Pakistan (24%) local boards.

Regarding the 10+ posts bracket, Portuguese is the clear leader with 60% of such members, followed by Greek (50%) and Pakistan (45%) local boards. When it comes to locals with lowest percentage of such members, Polish sticks out with only 8%, followed by Romanian (17%) and Indian (19%) local boards.

Merit shared per local board during May 2024

During the last month, 8364 merits were shared in the local boards, representing almost a 30% increase compared to April's total of 6515. Given such a significant increase, it’s no surprise that the majority of local boards performed better than in April, with Germany leading in terms of the increase.

Despite this overall growth, some boards had a worse month. For example, the French board saw a decrease from 274 merits in April to only 139 in May. Additionally, the Greek board did not have any merits shared at all in May, while in April their total was quite decent for their size, with 37 merits shared.

Merit/Post ratio per local board during May 2024

The merit per post average for all local boards during May was 0.69, which is significantly higher than the previous month’s average of 0.48. Considering the decrease in the number of posts and the substantial increase in merit shared, it’s no surprise that the ratio looks much better for May than it did in April.

Regarding the boards with the highest ratios, the Romanian board is at the top, which is not surprising, but their extremely high ratio is somewhat unexpected. Then again, this can happen with less active local boards, as all it takes is a couple of quality posts with a lot of merit to boost the ratio. Conversely, the Pilipinas board once again has an extremely low ratio, comparable to some of the least quality parts of the forum and I doubt that it accurately reflects the quality of that board.

Merit senders and receivers per local board during May 2024

During the last month 540 members sent merit while 663 received which is an expected increase compared to month before (513 sends and 537 receivers). Once again an interesting thing happen, where several boards managed to have more senders/receivers than Russian board despite the fact that they had by far the most amount of merit shared which indicates that their merit ciriculation is a little bit more concentrated than on some of the other boards.

Percentage of merited posts across local boards during May 2024

An average percentage of merited posts across 18 boards is 23.55% which is the (expected) increase compared with April (18.84). During April Romanian board was sticking out with a very high 60% of merited posts and during May they even managed to beat that, going up to the extremely high 75%. Once again, this kind of percentage is possible only at less active boards and Romanian with only 40 posts during last month qualify as one.

Regarding the bottom, who else could it be there other than Pilipinas with less than 4%  of merited posts, but Indian and Turkish are not too far behind either.

Merit per transaction across local boards during May 2024

An average merit per tx across local boards during May was 1.78 which is a decrease compared to April (2.08). Kinda interesting change as I expeced an increase considering almost 30% more meeit being send compared to month before.

The most active members per local board during May 2024

Last but not the least in this overview, list of top 10 members across 18 local boards/threads. Regarding the overall most active members, this time top 3 comes form the same board (Turkish), namely totti67 (288 posts), verbakalim (265) and mandown (229). Then you will be glad to hear that I already made charts and tables and all that is left now is the most broing part, to write the text. That will be finished either tonight or tomorrow so you can expect overview to be released on Monday afternoon, or Tuesday morning at the latest.

Great! Good to know that you are on the boring part  Cheesy. It is not just you but everyone who deals in deducing the data and then creating a presentation has to go with. Thanks for those wonderful bar graphs that we eagerly await every month once again.

@Rikafip waiting for your update for May 2024. You might be busy but you have made me addicted to your data every month on local boards. Please try to find some time to post local board activities as it is crucial for everyone to understand. It will immensely help the Indian board that does not have a local merit source. It is urgent because your data is the reason why one of our excellent contributors @TheUltraElite has applied for merit source. Eventually, your post on activities will help his application as a merit source, thanks for creating such a simple data analysis on the activities of every local board. Your report is all we local board members like me wait to increase the activity and try to generate more traffic for the forum.

This is my first time seeing my username mentioned in this thread. Should I be proud?
Its up to you I guess.  Cheesy

I just want to share that the Local board of Pilipinas is no longer as active as it used to be when there was the Mixer Signature campaign. Now, you can really notice the decrease in local/Pilipinas posts on the chart due to the ban on Bitcoin Mixer. But also I think it's not just because of banning Bitcoin Mixers but also due to adding the off-topic child board, which doesn't display our Signature that most signature campaigns don't count the posts from it. For sure, the one who requested that off-topic child board for Pilipinas regrets that it was approved.
No local board is as active as it used to be several years ago, so Pilipinas board is not an exception in that regard. After all, you still have pretty decent post numbers but what you seriously lack is merit and that's something that you should work on and that would probably help you increase the activity and quality of your board.

It was almost two years ago, and I never posted anything on this topic again. I don't even know if I should bump this topic or not. Undecided
It can't hurt to bump it from time to time.
