You make it sounds like chips.gg is pretty sketchy AF but it is not. The autobet is simply different from your usual autobet on another site and that is all. Normally you would only need to click on buttons to set your betting method but its kinda different in here. A casino will lose their credibility in the long run if they try anything sketchy like this though

I was lucky and green when I checked what's happening after few minutes! Most likely I would end up losing the entire balance if I didn't stop it on time! It's not like that never happened before, to forget to set "reset after every win"!
