v11 is way more stable than a previous once. Rigs going for days. Now if only the speed would get closer to competition.

Guys, please help me. I've searched high and low  (including this forum) but I cannot find anyone with a similar problem.  Background:
mining cryptonight with two rx cards, 480 (4) and 580 (Cool
both out of the box but the 480 clocked a bit.
the 480 does about 600h/s but 580 does a measly 350 h/s.
I can change the "-h" value on the 580 to get to better numbers like 600 np (will fix bios and drivers next)

Problem:
I cannot for the love of god find where to change the "-h" value when running NiceHash miner legacy v1.8.1.5
doesnt matter If I put it in  config.txt or the .bat-file of claymore or the json files of NiceHash.
please.. help?

Well, whodathunkit, but setting -dmem 0 improved hashrate to 640; still quite a bit lower than what others are reporting, but a lot better than 420.

Well this is depressing... I've seen others report hashrates for the RX 570 in the 800+ range, but I am getting more like 415-425. My RX 570 has Elpida memory and the powersave rom from Anorak with core clock at 1150 and memclock at 1900 (no undervolting). GPU-Z reports 100% GPU load, 24% memory load and GPU-only power draw of 60W (at least that's fair, given the hashrate). My command line currently reads:

NsGpuCNMiner -h 850 -allpools 1 -xpool stratum+tcp://bytecoin.uk:5555 -xwal -xpsw x

Where "BCN address" is my actual address, of course. Claymore is setting -dmem to 1 on its own (I had set it to 1 myself) and was setting -h to 896, but I thought overriding that (with a slightly lower value) might improve things and it did, by a whopping 10 H/s.

I chose BCN to mine because it has a very low difficulty so it would be easy to see how well it is working (I'd rather mine a coin with a less sordid history, all things considered), but if this is any reflection of how ETN or XMR will mine then I don't think I'll bother.

EDIT - looking through the logs I see a lot of AMD adapter not found:

12:15:45:826   44c   ADL: Cannot find any AMD adapters

Which is strange, because it recognizes it as an Ellesmere when it starts up.

These cards are so random!  I've managed to get the Gigabyte RX580's up to around 890H/s.  But the new MSI Armor 580's with uber mix strap 3.1 are only pushing 818 H/s!!  I thought they would do much better.

This is a frustrating hobby!!

btw... anyone with a Vega rig using Claymore CryptoNote miner?  if so, what kind of hashrates are your getting?  I know that some stack-XMR can supposedly get close to 2k per Vega after tweaking but hoping that this version of Claymore is close to that as I have had some issues trying to use those stack packages in the past.  if it's close, i will just stick with this miner to use on a 3x Vega 56 rig i am building this weekend.

Someone already gave his settings in this topic : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-cryptonote-amd-gpu-miner-v113-638915

Firstly, thanks to Claymore for the improvements here! On most of my rx 470 4GB cards, I am seeing about a 3-4% increase in hash-rate!

However, I was hoping v11 would also alleviate an issue I've been seeing since starting to use v10.2 a while ago.  For some reason, GPU 0 on all 4 of my rigs acts very strangely... most of the time hashing well below the others... fluctuating between 0 and 450, while the other 5 are right at the 700 mark.  Now, if this were only on 1 rig I would think the GPU is going bad, but since it is the exact same GPU slot 0 on all 4 rigs, it is more likely some kind of setting that i need to tweak.

Has anyone else noticed this on their rigs?  If so, any suggestions on how to fix it?

FYI: after just upgrading all 4 rigs to v11.0, GPUs 1-5 are hashing better by about 3-4% but GPU 0 is still bad on all 4. Although, it doesn't seem to be fluctuating as much... pretty much stuck at 232 on 3 rigs and weirdly, 120 on the 4th.

Any help resolving this would be much appreciated!

When Claymore miner starts, you will see GPU0 has a few less MB than other same cards.
Code:
GPU #0: Pitcairn, 1975 MB available, 20 compute units
GPU #0 recognized as Radeon 270/270X
GPU #1: Pitcairn, 1984 MB available, 20 compute units
GPU #1 recognized as Radeon 270/270X
GPU #2: Pitcairn, 1984 MB available, 20 compute units
GPU #2 recognized as Radeon 270/270X
GPU #3: Pitcairn, 1984 MB available, 20 compute units
GPU #3 recognized as Radeon 270/270X

Try to lower the -h parameter for GPU0

Thanks a ton for that tip! even though my GPU 0 was showing exactly the same MB available as other 5 GPUs I still gave your method a shot.  on startup, all were at -h value auto of 892, so I lowered GPU 0 to 812 as a test and it worked immediately!  Got that card up to 672 (from 120)!  I may play with it and inch up a bit but that's already a huge improvement! Now i will make that same change to my other rigs! Thanks again! Really appreciate it!

Is there any notes if it will be compatible with Electroneum?

I've been using Claymore's Cryptonote miner to mine Electroneum for some time now and it works just fine, no problems at all.
If you are interested here is my configuration.

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

NsGpuCNMiner -xpool stratum+tcp://pool.etn.spacepools.org:3333 -xwal -xpsw x -nofee 1 -allpools 1 -ftime 10 -mport 0

Thanks for reply, seems legit as most likely automatic -dmem 1 was the problem.
Soon as I set it for my r9 270s on -h 512 -dmem 0 everything started to be just fine, but no changes on their hashrates.
Other rig with rx570s had overall jump from 2770h/s to 2910h/s

@Call_Me_Bambi, thanks for this ... I actually just realized I didn't have the GPU Force line items set up for my crypto note configuration ... I'm gonna use your config and adjust for intense coin.   I was mining electoroneum for awhile a month or two ago, mined a good number of coins, don't have enough patience to try and get them out of the wallet though.  The only way is to wait for it to sync up, which took me hours, I think I may have even got it synched up, and then my coins still weren't showing up, couldn't sweep the paper wallet.   Where do you mine to?   The paper wallet?   You can't mine directly to the exchange yet right?

If you haven't yet, check out intense coin, I think difficulty is up now b/c the satoshi value went from averaging 28-38 to over 200 recently....but I was mining a large number of coins before with a good return even at 28-38 satoshi value.  Coin seems slightly promising, still unsure about it haha.  But the return right now is good.

Man I spoke to soon, I put this exact config and replaced it with the info for my coin, and I am getting "unknown option setx" unknown option for each item ....

Can it be because it's monero-focused and I'm trying to mine intense coin?  I  actually just updated from v9.7 to 11  - didn't even realize I was running an older version.  Thought that contributed to my recent issues too - I guess not though.  Arghhhh.....  Will mess with it a bit more.  Any guidance is appreciated by anyone who's had some similar issues

On an earlier rig setup I found that "set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1" worked where "setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1" didn't...odd. (I've read, somewhere, that the 'setx' comands are not really necessary).

Although Cryptopia says you can't mine to there ETN wallet I'm sure I've read of people doing it (might give it a try myself), but I got an address & keys from a paper wallet generator and mined to that wallet, then got the comand line wallet up and running and put the wallet details in to the CLI wallet. The CLI wallet can also generate addresses. It can take some time for the deamon to sync but I do it most days to keep it upto date, then start the wallet and the mined coins will show when it gets to the mined block.

Some help with the wallet:

Funny you mentioned the R9 270 as this is the card I use for mining Electroneum (mine is a R9 270X). I had some problems getting it to work with Claymore v11 until I added the "-mport 0" then it worked great, I've no idea why that helped.
BTW I get 463 h/s with a modded R9 270X BIOS using this to mod the BIOS https://anorak.tech/t/anoraks-amd-vbios-hex-modification-tutorial/126  using the 1375 timings and Afterburner set Core 1200 Mem 1500.

^^^ Undervolting and underclocking could possibly stabilize your card, when you get like 6 cards the odds of getting one that chokes on mining going full throttle are good.

Anyone know why this can be?

XMR - Total Speed: 5537 H/s, Total Shares: 1(0+1+0+0+0+0), Rejected: 0, Time: 00:00
XMR: GPU0 953 H/s, GPU1 953 H/s, GPU2 954 H/s, GPU3 770 H/s, GPU4 954 H/s, GPU5 953 H/s

Note the 770 (will go to 0 aswell), all same cards, all same bios all same clocks. With claymore 9.7 all fine. Anyone has an idea on how to crank this one up aswell?

I suspect it's had too much current and got fried, drop the VRM memory clock and move the mining strap down a notch it still might have some life left.

Have you been mining Equihash or dual mining ETH & DCR?

All cards work great on Claymore v9.7, all versions from 10 are doing this for me. Card is not dead. Not dual mining yet, planning on to.

V11 uses a bit more power, try my suggestion or RMA; it's probably a manufacturing defect.

I haven’t touched the voltage, these cards are 6 days old. It can’t be fried. You really think that can be? 6x Asus O4C RX570

Yeah here too nanopool reports 8500hs and claymore 9400hs
Hmmm. +1
Claymore, what can you say about this?

Check GPU load in gpu-z (must be 100% all the time).
I will do some tests in 1-2 days to confirm that the miner produces correct number of shares, though I already did it for v11.

UPD: It seems I found the reason, when pool sends new job, v11.0 drops old job too late (loses 1-2 sec). I have fixed this bug but it will take 1-2 days to test it properly and release an update. However, you can test a fix right now if you want and tell me if it helps:
https://mega.nz/#!TlYQAJSZ!291Swk4GbJLC5JYmax_fc-tLWjfwKsFTnOUSVGqsDlA
Testing it on nanopool lets see how it goes

Please let us know your feedback

Hi,
I do not want to modify my cards' BIOSes but I would like to use the software to improve a little H/s.

I have 6 rx580 8gb mining monero with linux (Ubuntu 16.04)

Can you please help me in how to push them a little more with the following values?

-cclock -mclock  -cvddc  -mvddc  Huh

any help is really appreaciated. Smiley
