For anybody having issues with nicehash causing the miner to "segmentation fault (core dumped)" just add a failover pool and that will stop that from happening.
Thank you for sharing, I went through this problem yesterday, I'll do the test.

Hello,

I am using the version 9.7 with Nicehash, and i found strange that the latest version (10.2) wasn't working with my gpu...

On the v10.2 readme it is written that the 7xxx cards are compatible.

After some research, i found the reason.

When i launch the version 10.x, i get the message : "No ASM binary found for GPU 0"

My card is a AMD Radeon 7750 1 Gb.

So i find it strange. Could you fix it please ?

I just woke up and it's cold, I'm fucking freezing... why am I freezing cold?

Claymore dude, pls fix the nicehash problem I woke up to find EVERY RIG HAD SUFFERED A SEGMENTATION FAULT!

edit:

I found this message in one of the logs before things went south, looks like it restarted several times before it crashed:

edit_2:

I've added a failover pool, maybe that will help...

edit_3:

All the miners restarted (in a fresh terminal window) no problem without a reboot so probably not hardware related.

edit_4:

Confirmed, adding a failover pool is a temporary workaround. Only one rig has the failover and it's still up, all the others are seg faulted.

OK, but teorethically the wallet from poloniex is the new spec ... aka integrated wallet. They do not supply an ID like on bitterx ...
I mined for 1 day and must wait to see if the transaction will happen at 0.315 XMR ... I must wait 6 days until I mine 0.315 XMR ... I hope it will not be a useless mining ... Cheesy

for 9,7 version write  " -a 3 " in command line for old card (5xxx & 6xxx) :

I might have misread his comment but I understood it to mean he is using 10.2 but it doesn't work so he's going to go back and use 9.7. AFAIK 10.2 won't work on a 6990 but it will on 9.7 with the algorithm switch you provided.

No need to specify "-a 3", miner defaults to "-a 3" for HD6990 , 9.7 version of miner
"No ASM" diagnostics is always in 10.2 version due (a pity) to no asm for Cayman|Antilles XT cards in new version.
Not all hope is gone. Sir Claymore stated that if he have plenty of time he can include binaries for older cards. Its simply not a priority just for now, so obsolete card users are stuck with 9.7

I try with 6990 4GB but ASM not working

any command? I use 9.7 now

"This version is for recent AMD videocards only: 7xxx, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx, 1GB or more."

Read the readme!

for 9,7 version write  " -a 3 " in command line for old card (5xxx & 6xxx) :

"-a   Select algorithm:
   "-a 0" (default) means autoselection.
"-a 1" fastest mining mode for 290/290x and 270/270x cards.
"-a 2" low power consumption mode for 290/290x cards. A bit less speed (1%) but less power consumption (10-15%).
"-a 3" fastest mining for old cards (6xxx and 5xxx).
"-a 4" fastest mining for recent cards (280x, 270/270x etc).
You can also specify mode for every card separately, for example, "-a 1234".
It is very important for good mining speed to select correct "-a" and "-h" values for your cards.
For old cards 5xxx and 6xxx use "-a 3" mode only, otherwise you can get "LowDifficultyShare" errors from pool."

I might have misread his comment but I understood it to mean he is using 10.2 but it doesn't work so he's going to go back and use 9.7. AFAIK 10.2 won't work on a 6990 but it will on 9.7 with the algorithm switch you provided.

Check you virtual memory settings. Usually dk2a error is assosiated with low virtual memory. Set more then combined all GPU memory/

I had a 17000MB Virtual Memory and I increased it to 20480MB but it didn't help Sad. Any other ideas what I could try?
Oh.. And I updated drivers to 17.11.4. That didn't help either.

I'll remove RX480 from your system, deinstall current driver with latest DDU and install august blockchain drivers.
[/quote]

I managed to fix it. I had to put line "-dmem 0" to config file because otherwise it used too much memory in 280 (over 3100MB and 280 have only 3072MB).

Hi all!

I get four error messages when I try to mine with Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v10.2 Beta.

It says:
Code:
17:29:51:156 1840 GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2a failed -4
17:29:51:296 bd4 GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4
17:29:51:328 4c4 GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4
17:29:51:359 1dc8 GPU 1, GpuMiner dk2an0 failed -4

That GPU 1 is ASUS Radeon R9 280 DirectCU II 3GB and GPU 0 (Sapphire Radeon RX 480 Nitro+ 8GB) works but with low hashrate = 378 H/s.

Radeon Software Version is 16.9.1.

Any help to get them working?
